If you haven’t been to The Barn Restaurant then you need to ASAP! We were so happy when we found Mark & Margaret to cater our Welcome + Wedding Party. We wanted some Polish culture vibes and they were able to include these flavors in our cocktail hour. They were very professional throughout this entire process and most especially during the Pandemic. Everyone was so happy with the way everything was presented and to health code. The communication and collaboration with our venue and other caterers was fantastic - everyone was truly a team and flexible during an ever changing time. The food is amazing - that is what everyone raved about throughout the entire night.

We worked with Mark and his team at the Barn to cater our welcome party the evening before our wedding. So many wonderful things to say! He has an all star staff and incredible food! The party was heavy hors d’œuvres, both stationary and passed, and every time we turned around, more food was being passed or added to the stationary display table. They were so on top of things and made sure everyone had plenty to eat. One of my bridesmaids has a severe (and fairly restricting) food allergy, but Mark and I worked together to create a plan beforehand, and his staff was wonderful about making sure she had her own separate, allergy-safe food.
Also, as part of the planning, Mark was extremely flexible with the menu and let us completely customize it, even with items that don’t appear on their standard menu. If you have a menu item in mind, just ask—they will make it happen! Everything was delicious, and thanks to Mark & his team, this party was the perfect kickoff to our Vermont wedding weekend!

Mark and Margaret at the Barn are wonderful caterers! They offered us a tasting and we hired them right away. They were open to our special requests and easy to work with. They really love what they do and care about your enjoyment. Our guests raved about the food, from the Friday welcome party, to the cocktail hour and wedding dinner, it was amazing! Mark checked in us as the event was taking place to be sure we were happy with the food and service. He takes pride in his work and it shows! I highly recommend hiring this caterer!

My husband and I couldn’t of been happier with the catering for our wedding, Mark was absolutely amazing very friendly and accommodating. Prices were reasonable. The pig roast was a hit, all our guests had nothing but good things to say!!

Mark and Margaret are the kindest people I could ever imagine working with to cater my wedding and their food is to die for! They use local foods and truly have a knowledge and passion in what they prepare. With all the options they offer it’s hard to imagine they don’t list something you want, but by chance if there is something missing you’d like, they can make it for you. They are quick to respond to any questions you have, are helpful but not pushy in their suggestions, and are extremely reasonably priced. At the tasting (make sure to bring your stretchy pants) they helped us to lay out exactly what we wanted at our wedding, from passed and plated hors d’oeuvres, entrées, and multiple desserts. They are also able to accommodate allergies. I have celiac disease and require a gluten free diet. Margaret made the most amazing gluten free wedding cake! It was difficult to think that it was gluten free. I would also recommend their donut trailer. Our guests can’t stop talking about the amazing, hot, fresh apple cider donuts that were made throughout the night. Everything was so amazing when we met with Mark and Margaret that we ended up going to The Barn Restaurant for our rehearsal dinner as well. You won’t make a mistake when choosing The Barn Restaurant and you even get an added benefit of gaining two wonderful friends!

The Barn catered our wedding and did an outstanding job all around. Mark and Margaret are a flawless team. Mark handles a lot of the business and Margaret does the lion's share of the cooking, but what makes them special is their experience working together to make major events go smoothly. The food received countless compliments, many saying it wast the best wedding food they'd ever had. Mark sat down with us beforehand and planned the menu in detail, even substituting some ingredients we specially requested (goat cheese instead of feta for the salads, for example). The dessert table display and Margaret's custom cake was jaw-dropping. They were thoroughly accommodating from start to finish, and helped us work within a budget. Overall, we were thrilled and we look forward to stopping in to the restaurant next time we are back in town!
