We had our wedding at the West Mountain Inn in August and I could not be happier with our weekend! Amie made sure everything was super smooth from the moment we arrived Thursday until we left on Sunday. Working with her to plan the wedding is a fun and exciting experience, as she takes the stress out of everything. The venue itself is gorgeous, with many different areas to plan events throughout the weekend. The rooms at the inn are so cute, but also updated, and we had a great time getting ready in the bridal suite. If you are looking for a beautiful and relaxing VT venue, it doesn't get better than this!

It's also West Mountain Inn in Arlington, VT. This is hands down the best venue we could have found for our wedding weekend. Amie made two years of planning feel like a series of easy conversations and choices between eminently thoughtful options. She facilitated our vendors, wedding nuances (cross-cultural wedding, double ceremonies, complicated logistics and transitions), and packed weekend schedule like a magician, and was flexible and pro-active far beyond what we could've hoped for from any venue owner. Our family and friends were in love with the beautiful and classic rooms; our guests were floored by the Inn, Barn, and delicious food; everyone was stunned by the grounds. Wedding planning can be a behemoth but this decision was our easiest and best - we could not recommend a venue and owner more highly.

Going into planning our wedding we knew that we wanted a primarily outdoor venue that allowed us to have a full weekend event from Friday through Sunday morning. After looking at several throughout the CT, MA, and VT area and not finding one we loved, we stumbled on West Mountain Inn and immediately knew it was perfect. The venue itself is beautiful from the quintessentially New England bed and breakfast, to the flower garden behind the ceremony site, to the incredible mountains in the background. The venue in late summer was simply stunning. While we were lucky enough to have perfect weather allowing for a fully outdoor experience (welcome party, ceremony & cocktail hour, and farewell breakfast were all outside!) West Mountain offered enough indoor locations that if there had been inclement weather, we wouldn’t be confined to only one space, which was a concern we had with other venues we toured. All the food we had during our weekend was incredible, from the buffet dinner and hors d’oeuvres, the breakfasts Saturday and Sunday morning, and the woodfired oven pizzas during our welcome party (guests absolutely loved the scallion street corn pie!!). On top of the inn, property, and food being amazing, West Mountain Inn is such an excellent wedding venue because of Amie, the inn owner and coordinator. Amie clearly loves helping people make their dream weddings come true. She serves as the day of coordinator and point of contact for your vendors, and makes it incredibly easy and straightforward to make all of the decisions you need to make the day come true. Amie was incredibly responsive, professional, patient, kind, and accommodating to our questions and asks. She and the Head Chef helped us plan a menu that catered to multiple types of allergies, as well as working with the bar to do our own off menu signature cocktails and a mocktail for the reception. Amie’s two incredibly well behaved golden retrievers, Milo and Pepper, also joined and were a hit with kids and adults alike! Something unadvertised but amazing about West Mountain was the collection of decorations and items from previous weddings (think chalkboards, table numbers, card boxes, table seating displays, etc.) that Amie has available for her couples to use in their own weddings which reduced our DIY requirements to basically nothing. The only thing we rented was drapes in the barn but other than that everything was already provided. One of the best parts of having our wedding at West Mountain Inn is that it’s now a special, meaningful place that we’re able to return to over the coming years. West Mountain Inn was absolutely the best decision we made in our wedding planning journey and we would recommend it to anyone and everyone!

The most MAGICAL place to have a wedding!!! Everything about our experience at the West Mountain Inn was nothing short of perfect. Amie was incredible at making sure everything about the weekend was what we envisioned. The property speaks for itself with how gorgeous and tucked away it is. Having the entire property to ourselves and our friends/family/wedding party was so special and using each part of the property throughout the weekend was amazing. From the Friday night s'mores to the sweet golden retrievers running around and the friendly and dynamic staff, we made so many special memories. The food was also delicious and there were so many options to choose from. The chicken and waffles during the Sunday brunch was a highlight. We truly can't stress how wonderful this place is and we can't wait to come back again and again to reminisce and enjoy its beauty. Can't recommend it enough. Thank you Amie and crew for the most amazing and magical weekend of our lives!!!

We feel so lucky to have found the West Mountain Inn for our wedding. We first visited about a year before our wedding and immediately felt like it would be the perfect place for our special day. We were greeted by the resident golden retrievers, who followed us on our tour. If you’re a dog lover, you’ll be very happy with this venue! But really, it was Amie, Mary Beth and the rest of the staff who sold us. We immediately felt like they cared about making your day as perfect as possible for us, which was very welcome after touring other venues which felt like they wanted to squeeze every penny from us. After we decided on the venue, Amie was so willing to work with people like us who wanted to plan every detail possible. Amie answered all of my questions and sent additional information like floor plans so I could plan who was assigned to each room as soon as possible. Her communication over email was so incredible helpful! We absolutely loved that we could have so many guests staying at the inn and knew that would be perfect for our winter wedding. Next came our tasting, which was such a fun event. There are two tastings a year, both in March (though I think you could have a private tasting if you need). We loved being able to stay at the inn for a night and meet all of the other couples getting married here within the year. As our wedding was in February, we had to wait a long time between the tasting and trying the food again, and it absolutely didn’t disappoint! Chef Jeff did an amazing job with our welcome party, breakfast and lunch the day of the wedding, the absolutely amazing wedding dinner (and late night snacks), and brunch the next morning! We heard that most couples have a hard time eating during their weddings, but we cleaned our plates! Definitely try the butternut squash ravioli, it is incredible! We had our ceremony in the barn, then moved to the bar in the inn for cocktail hour, then dinner in the dining room, and dancing in the living room. They take out the big pieces of living room furniture and move some chairs to the side for dancing. A lot of my family was skeptical about that, but the inn knows what they’re doing!! The dance floor was plenty big for our party of 60 (and I’m sure it could have accommodate larger groups), and the chairs on the sides were a huge hit! It was incredible to be able to sit down for a minute and still feel like you’re a part of the party. I know a lot of our guests enjoyed that as well. We got ready in the Norman Rockwell suite, which worked out well since we had a small bridal party. We also loved getting to see all the rooms in the inn - every room is thought out so well and has little details that are so fun to find! We thought the inn was what made our wedding weekend so magical and cannot wait to visit again on anniversaries or other special occasions. We had a wonderful wedding at the West Mountain Inn! The Innkeeper, Amie Emmons, is very capable at coordinating the many moving pieces essential to making your wedding weekend enjoyable and as easy as possible, in large part by coordinating the wedding events. The staff are all very kind, professional and happy to help with requests and coordinating with vendors. The facilities are cute, unique, and well kept, though the minimum head count is more than can be hosted on site. The grounds and facilities for hosting the key events are well suited. The garden where our ceremony was held has an excellent view of the West Mountain, making for a gorgeous experience (especially in autumn near peak foliage when ours was held). The barn where receptions are held (and would have staged our ceremony in the event of rain) is also a gem and we had a wonderful dinner and vibrant dance floor there.

We recommend staying in the millhouse if you wish to host parties after your rehearsal dinner and/or wedding night (the barn closes at 11 pm) with friends. Millhouse 1 and 3 have patios. This allowed people staying in the inn to sleep without disturbances while allowing the night to end organically, and hopefully catch up with many old and distant friends and family more than during the wedding events.

Choosing the West Mountain Inn was the biggest and best wedding decision we made. When we toured the venue last fall, we were sold on the beautiful property and the great value. We didn't know, however, just how great the experience of planning a wedding at the inn would be. Amie, the owner and de facto "wedding coordinator" was so helpful and accomodating every step of the way. The excellent communication and abundant resources and recommendations made the planning process a breeze and culminated in a perfect day. We had the entire inn to ourselves and our guests all weekend. Our family and friends loved sharing breakfasts together and exploring everything the grounds had to offer. Amie and her staff are extremely friendly and know what they're doing when it comes to pulling off a fun, seamless wedding. Outside vendors in the area love working with them and love the venue too. The food is amazing (both the wedding catering and meals at the inn). The rooms are big and charming. And the setting is spectacular. We could not recommend the West Mountain Inn more highly.

We had the most incredible experience hosting our wedding at the West Mountain Inn, and we can’t recommend it enough! From the moment we reached out to Amie, the owner and wedding planner, we knew we were in good hands. Amie is an absolute gem — she is incredibly responsive, organized, and truly made the entire planning process a breeze. Not once did my fiancé or I feel anxious or overwhelmed with her help. She was there every step of the way, offering expert guidance and calm reassurance.

The staff at West Mountain Inn was equally amazing. Everyone went above and beyond to ensure our day was flawless. One example that stands out was when one of the air conditioners in the guest bedroom went down right before the wedding. The maintenance crew was on it immediately, and when they couldn’t fix it right away, they simply replaced it — no questions asked! It’s these thoughtful details that really made the experience stand out.

As for the weather, we were a bit stressed leading up to the day since it was calling for rain. But Amie and her team had a perfect plan in place. When the rain didn’t let up, they turned our biggest fear into a magical experience. Amie kept a close eye on the weather and made sure everything was set up indoors, but also had a backup plan to use the outdoor space when it cleared up. It was seamless, and our guests were in awe of how everything came together.

The venue itself is absolutely stunning. The rustic charm of the West Mountain Inn is the perfect backdrop for a wedding, and the onsite accommodations were clean and ideal for our guests. Our ceremony was breathtaking, and the intimate, secluded setting made it feel like a true escape.

To this day, we’re still receiving messages from guests telling us it was one of the best weddings they’ve ever attended — and we have Amie and the West Mountain Inn staff to thank for that! If you’re looking for a stress-free, intimate wedding in a beautiful, hidden part of Vermont, this is the place to be. We wholeheartedly recommend West Mountain Inn and Amie to any couple!

There are not enough good things to say about West Mountain Inn! Not only is the venue absolutely stunning (the ceremony views, the barn, the lawn for cocktail hour), and the inn itself is such a fantastic venue to bring your wedding parties together for the weekend, but what truly sets this venue apart is the on-site coordination. Amie was responsive from the day we booked the venue (even before!), fielded all of our questions in a timely and thorough manner, and took so many of the details and coordination off of our plates leading up to the day. We worked with many vendors Amie recommended, all of whom were fantastic, and they all commented on how smoothly weekends at WMI are able to flow since they are able to coordinate with Amie directly. There is truly not one thing I would change about our weekend - it exceeded all of my expectations, and Amie is to thank for most of it! The rest of the staff was also wonderful throughout the weekend, truly making us feel taken care of the whole time.

The food is delicious, the service throughout the reception was excellent, and everything ran exactly as planned according to schedule. The sound set up (coordinated with the band) was also great. We were able to arrive early on Friday with the option to have as much or as little involvement in set up and decorating as we wanted. The inn is also set up fabulously for getting ready, with two dedicated suites with lots of space, and the venue has so many locations for photos that we were able to take advantage of. If we were to do it all over again, I wouldn’t change a thing! West Mountain Inn is the best!!!

The West Mountain Inn was the perfect place to get married! The setting is gorgeous and having space for us and guests to stay at the venue was an added bonus. Amie and her team are absolutely wonderful-- so kind and willing to help with preparations for the big day. They have have a great system in place that enables you to customize your wedding, and make your wedding day run smoothly.
