We had our wedding at the West Mountain Inn in August and I could not be happier with our weekend! Amie made sure everything was super smooth from the moment we arrived Thursday until we left on Sunday. Working with her to plan the wedding is a fun and exciting experience, as she takes the stress out of everything. The venue itself is gorgeous, with many different areas to plan events throughout the weekend. The rooms at the inn are so cute, but also updated, and we had a great time getting ready in the bridal suite. If you are looking for a beautiful and relaxing VT venue, it doesn't get better than this! -

It's also West Mountain Inn in Arlington, VT. This is hands down the best venue we could have found for our wedding weekend. Amie made two years of planning feel like a series of easy conversations and choices between eminently thoughtful options. She facilitated our vendors, wedding nuances (cross-cultural wedding, double ceremonies, complicated logistics and transitions), and packed weekend schedule like a magician, and was flexible and pro-active far beyond what we could've hoped for from any venue owner. Our family and friends were in love with the beautiful and classic rooms; our guests were floored by the Inn, Barn, and delicious food; everyone was stunned by the grounds. Wedding planning can be a behemoth but this decision was our easiest and best - we could not recommend a venue and owner more highly. -

Going into planning our wedding we knew that we wanted a primarily outdoor venue that allowed us to have a full weekend event from Friday through Sunday morning. After looking at several throughout the CT, MA, and VT area and not finding one we loved, we stumbled on West Mountain Inn and immediately knew it was perfect. The venue itself is beautiful from the quintessentially New England bed and breakfast, to the flower garden behind the ceremony site, to the incredible mountains in the background. The venue in late summer was simply stunning. While we were lucky enough to have perfect weather allowing for a fully outdoor experience (welcome party, ceremony & cocktail hour, and farewell breakfast were all outside!) West Mountain offered enough indoor locations that if there had been inclement weather, we wouldn’t be confined to only one space, which was a concern we had with other venues we toured. All the food we had during our weekend was incredible, from the buffet dinner and hors d’oeuvres, the breakfasts Saturday and Sunday morning, and the woodfired oven pizzas during our welcome party (guests absolutely loved the scallion street corn pie!!). On top of the inn, property, and food being amazing, West Mountain Inn is such an excellent wedding venue because of Amie, the inn owner and coordinator. Amie clearly loves helping people make their dream weddings come true. She serves as the day of coordinator and point of contact for your vendors, and makes it incredibly easy and straightforward to make all of the decisions you need to make the day come true. Amie was incredibly responsive, professional, patient, kind, and accommodating to our questions and asks. She and the Head Chef helped us plan a menu that catered to multiple types of allergies, as well as working with the bar to do our own off menu signature cocktails and a mocktail for the reception. Amie’s two incredibly well behaved golden retrievers, Milo and Pepper, also joined and were a hit with kids and adults alike! Something unadvertised but amazing about West Mountain was the collection of decorations and items from previous weddings (think chalkboards, table numbers, card boxes, table seating displays, etc.) that Amie has available for her couples to use in their own weddings which reduced our DIY requirements to basically nothing. The only thing we rented was drapes in the barn but other than that everything was already provided. One of the best parts of having our wedding at West Mountain Inn is that it’s now a special, meaningful place that we’re able to return to over the coming years. West Mountain Inn was absolutely the best decision we made in our wedding planning journey and we would recommend it to anyone and everyone! -

The most MAGICAL place to have a wedding!!! Everything about our experience at the West Mountain Inn was nothing short of perfect. Amie was incredible at making sure everything about the weekend was what we envisioned. The property speaks for itself with how gorgeous and tucked away it is. Having the entire property to ourselves and our friends/family/wedding party was so special and using each part of the property throughout the weekend was amazing. From the Friday night s'mores to the sweet golden retrievers running around and the friendly and dynamic staff, we made so many special memories. The food was also delicious and there were so many options to choose from. The chicken and waffles during the Sunday brunch was a highlight. We truly can't stress how wonderful this place is and we can't wait to come back again and again to reminisce and enjoy its beauty. Can't recommend it enough. Thank you Amie and crew for the most amazing and magical weekend of our lives!!! -

We feel so lucky to have found the West Mountain Inn for our wedding. We first visited about a year before our wedding and immediately felt like it would be the perfect place for our special day. We were greeted by the resident golden retrievers, who followed us on our tour. If you’re a dog lover, you’ll be very happy with this venue! But really, it was Amie, Mary Beth and the rest of the staff who sold us. We immediately felt like they cared about making your day as perfect as possible for us, which was very welcome after touring other venues which felt like they wanted to squeeze every penny from us. After we decided on the venue, Amie was so willing to work with people like us who wanted to plan every detail possible. Amie answered all of my questions and sent additional information like floor plans so I could plan who was assigned to each room as soon as possible. Her communication over email was so incredible helpful! We absolutely loved that we could have so many guests staying at the inn and knew that would be perfect for our winter wedding. Next came our tasting, which was such a fun event. There are two tastings a year, both in March (though I think you could have a private tasting if you need). We loved being able to stay at the inn for a night and meet all of the other couples getting married here within the year. As our wedding was in February, we had to wait a long time between the tasting and trying the food again, and it absolutely didn’t disappoint! Chef Jeff did an amazing job with our welcome party, breakfast and lunch the day of the wedding, the absolutely amazing wedding dinner (and late night snacks), and brunch the next morning! We heard that most couples have a hard time eating during their weddings, but we cleaned our plates! Definitely try the butternut squash ravioli, it is incredible! We had our ceremony in the barn, then moved to the bar in the inn for cocktail hour, then dinner in the dining room, and dancing in the living room. They take out the big pieces of living room furniture and move some chairs to the side for dancing. A lot of my family was skeptical about that, but the inn knows what they’re doing!! The dance floor was plenty big for our party of 60 (and I’m sure it could have accommodate larger groups), and the chairs on the sides were a huge hit! It was incredible to be able to sit down for a minute and still feel like you’re a part of the party. I know a lot of our guests enjoyed that as well. We got ready in the Norman Rockwell suite, which worked out well since we had a small bridal party. We also loved getting to see all the rooms in the inn - every room is thought out so well and has little details that are so fun to find! We thought the inn was what made our wedding weekend so magical and cannot wait to visit again on anniversaries or other special occasions. We had a wonderful wedding at the West Mountain Inn! The Innkeeper, Amie Emmons, is very capable at coordinating the many moving pieces essential to making your wedding weekend enjoyable and as easy as possible, in large part by coordinating the wedding events. The staff are all very kind, professional and happy to help with requests and coordinating with vendors. The facilities are cute, unique, and well kept, though the minimum head count is more than can be hosted on site. The grounds and facilities for hosting the key events are well suited. The garden where our ceremony was held has an excellent view of the West Mountain, making for a gorgeous experience (especially in autumn near peak foliage when ours was held). The barn where receptions are held (and would have staged our ceremony in the event of rain) is also a gem and we had a wonderful dinner and vibrant dance floor there.
We recommend staying in the millhouse if you wish to host parties after your rehearsal dinner and/or wedding night (the barn closes at 11 pm) with friends. Millhouse 1 and 3 have patios. This allowed people staying in the inn to sleep without disturbances while allowing the night to end organically, and hopefully catch up with many old and distant friends and family more than during the wedding events.

Choosing the West Mountain Inn was the biggest and best wedding decision we made. When we toured the venue last fall, we were sold on the beautiful property and the great value. We didn't know, however, just how great the experience of planning a wedding at the inn would be. Amie, the owner and de facto "wedding coordinator" was so helpful and accomodating every step of the way. The excellent communication and abundant resources and recommendations made the planning process a breeze and culminated in a perfect day. We had the entire inn to ourselves and our guests all weekend. Our family and friends loved sharing breakfasts together and exploring everything the grounds had to offer. Amie and her staff are extremely friendly and know what they're doing when it comes to pulling off a fun, seamless wedding. Outside vendors in the area love working with them and love the venue too. The food is amazing (both the wedding catering and meals at the inn). The rooms are big and charming. And the setting is spectacular. We could not recommend the West Mountain Inn more highly. -

We had the most incredible experience hosting our wedding at the West Mountain Inn, and we can’t recommend it enough! From the moment we reached out to Amie, the owner and wedding planner, we knew we were in good hands. Amie is an absolute gem — she is incredibly responsive, organized, and truly made the entire planning process a breeze. Not once did my fiancé or I feel anxious or overwhelmed with her help. She was there every step of the way, offering expert guidance and calm reassurance.
The staff at West Mountain Inn was equally amazing. Everyone went above and beyond to ensure our day was flawless. One example that stands out was when one of the air conditioners in the guest bedroom went down right before the wedding. The maintenance crew was on it immediately, and when they couldn’t fix it right away, they simply replaced it — no questions asked! It’s these thoughtful details that really made the experience stand out.
As for the weather, we were a bit stressed leading up to the day since it was calling for rain. But Amie and her team had a perfect plan in place. When the rain didn’t let up, they turned our biggest fear into a magical experience. Amie kept a close eye on the weather and made sure everything was set up indoors, but also had a backup plan to use the outdoor space when it cleared up. It was seamless, and our guests were in awe of how everything came together.
The venue itself is absolutely stunning. The rustic charm of the West Mountain Inn is the perfect backdrop for a wedding, and the onsite accommodations were clean and ideal for our guests. Our ceremony was breathtaking, and the intimate, secluded setting made it feel like a true escape.
To this day, we’re still receiving messages from guests telling us it was one of the best weddings they’ve ever attended — and we have Amie and the West Mountain Inn staff to thank for that! If you’re looking for a stress-free, intimate wedding in a beautiful, hidden part of Vermont, this is the place to be. We wholeheartedly recommend West Mountain Inn and Amie to any couple! -

There are not enough good things to say about West Mountain Inn! Not only is the venue absolutely stunning (the ceremony views, the barn, the lawn for cocktail hour), and the inn itself is such a fantastic venue to bring your wedding parties together for the weekend, but what truly sets this venue apart is the on-site coordination. Amie was responsive from the day we booked the venue (even before!), fielded all of our questions in a timely and thorough manner, and took so many of the details and coordination off of our plates leading up to the day. We worked with many vendors Amie recommended, all of whom were fantastic, and they all commented on how smoothly weekends at WMI are able to flow since they are able to coordinate with Amie directly. There is truly not one thing I would change about our weekend - it exceeded all of my expectations, and Amie is to thank for most of it! The rest of the staff was also wonderful throughout the weekend, truly making us feel taken care of the whole time.
The food is delicious, the service throughout the reception was excellent, and everything ran exactly as planned according to schedule. The sound set up (coordinated with the band) was also great. We were able to arrive early on Friday with the option to have as much or as little involvement in set up and decorating as we wanted. The inn is also set up fabulously for getting ready, with two dedicated suites with lots of space, and the venue has so many locations for photos that we were able to take advantage of. If we were to do it all over again, I wouldn’t change a thing! West Mountain Inn is the best!!! -

The West Mountain Inn was the perfect place to get married! The setting is gorgeous and having space for us and guests to stay at the venue was an added bonus. Amie and her team are absolutely wonderful-- so kind and willing to help with preparations for the big day. They have have a great system in place that enables you to customize your wedding, and make your wedding day run smoothly. Amie is Incredible! She had the whole weekend under control without myself of my husband needing to do or say anything. She made our wedding weekend completely stress free! The staff at the West Mountain Inn were so sweet and caring. Anything you need and they had us covered. We loved how one of the bartenders was from my husbands home town as well! When you are there "you are one of the folks!" The entire process was seamless with Amie too. She is incredibly responsive and will give you her honest opinions. She knows so many vendors as well to make planning easy. Then there is the fact that the inn alone is breathtaking, but the views just add to it. The barn is beautiful as well. The best part though? Pepper and Milo! Everyone enjoyed seeing the pups all weekend long. We cannot thank everyone, and Amie enough for our perfect wedding weekend. We loved it so much we wish it never ended. We got so many compliments on how our wedding was the best wedding our guests had ever been to. Everyone couldn't get over how beautiful the entire property was! -

The West mountain in is the quintessential vermont wedding destination. You get the elegant wedding with the rustic barn and the gorgeous Inn with its comfy lounge, patio, and fireplace seatings . Your wedding party can hike, hang with the Alpaca’s or chill by the s’mores cookout. And the food is sooo good and such good quality. Brunch is beyond.

The best wedding experience
Our wedding was a dream - a full weekend experience that we wish we could relive! We knew from the moment we pulled up the driveway that this was the location for us. Having our entire wedding party on site for the weekend was idyllic; it made our wedding feel intimate and personal, and the beautiful grounds and barn were the perfect spaces for our main events. Our guests felt like they were on a getaway, and we felt comfortable, relaxed, and like we were at home.
From the beginning, Amie could not have been more helpful when it came to planning. The entire WMI staff was so gracious to us and our guests alike. The food - from rehearsal to brunch to cocktail hour and dinner - was delicious and something we still hear complements about today.
We can not thank WMI enough. We wish we could keep it a secret, but we want everyone to know about this special pocket of VT! Thank you, WMI! We cannot wait to return for pizza nights in the summer!The Barn at West Mountain Inn's reply:

The Best Choice We Made
When we set out to look for a wedding venue, we knew that our ideal experience would be to bring our closest family and friends together for a weekend in a beautiful setting where we could host all events on-site. We went to several places like that, but none felt quite right - either they felt too corporate, or they weren't as secluded as we wanted, or they were insanely priced. But when we pulled into the West Mountain Inn, we knew it was in a category of its own.
From the second you enter the property, you feel as though you've entered a different universe. Beautiful grounds with endless spots for great photos; the charming and historic Inn full of unique touches, decades-old guest books in each room, and two very sweet golden retrievers; and most notably, incredibly kind people everywhere you turn made it unlike anything we'd encountered, and we quickly committed to a date the following year - the best decision we made planning our wedding!!
Amie, the Inn owner, is the definition of a seasoned professional when it comes to planning and executing weddings on this property. She's also just a truly wonderful person who we felt lucky to get to know. We didn't use a wedding planner, but with Amie, that was no problem at all - she sent us endless emails throughout the year, recommending incredible vendors, helping us plan menus for all three days (rehearsal dinner, welcome party, wedding, and Sunday brunch), and coordinating every last detail. We never worried that anything would fall through the cracks - to the contrary, we knew that if we forgot something (seating chart updates, rentals confirmation, etc), Amie would alert us. We also loved attending the Inn's winter tasting event for couples and their parents planning weddings for the following summer - another example of the kind of above-and-beyond community that WMI has created and sustains.
When it came to the event itself, we couldn't have been happier. Everything was executed to perfection, surpassing even the high expectations we'd developed. Amie continued to embody the calm in the storm and she directed all of us around, allowing our families and friends to truly relax and be present for the weekend. The events themselves were beautiful and allowed us to showcase many different parts of the Inn's beautiful property. The food, prepared by the Inn's Chef Jeff, was outstanding throughout - one of our friends works as a bartender at celebrity weddings and commented that ours had better food than any of them. The bartenders, servers, and everyone working at the event were lovely. We also got lucky with the weather but knew that Amie was ready to pivot to other options at a moment's notice. The barn reception was perfect, the afterparty in the Inn's Mill Houses was a dream, and the brunch on Sunday was a huge highlight for our guests - people stayed for hours enjoying the made-to-order omelets and mountain views!
All in all, there's no other place we could have imagined getting married. We've known ever since we first visited that the West Mountain Inn would be a part of our lives for many years to come, as it has been for many couples (reading these stories in the guest books was what sealed the deal for me!). We are already looking forward to our next visit, and both of our families are even talking about all coming back to share holidays here! We looked at tons of venues all over New England before choosing this venue. Once we saw West Mountain Inn in person and met with Amie we knew it was the one. Amie was there every step of the way making sure to answer all our questions, provide suggestions, and much more. Having the ceremony and reception, also staying on the property with some of our guests made the weekend much less stressful. Everything went smoothly from the welcome pasta dinner Friday night to brunch Sunday morning. Amie and the staff were so helpful and lovely the entire wedding weekend. Our guests are still raving about how pleasant of an experience everyone and everything was. Our wedding was everything we ever wanted, couldn't imagine having it anywhere else! -

You should get married here!
My husband and I got married here this past summer and it was perfect! The venue is stunning and the views are beautiful. Amie is an absolute dream to work with! She is patient, organized, and was so accommodating. We were originally supposed to get married in 2020 but had to push it back and Amie helped us to organize the new date and was very understanding, which made a very stressful situation so much easier. The night before the wedding Amie did an awesome job of organizing the wedding party to run through the rehearsal, which was incredibly helpful because it was a lot to try to wrangle all of us. On the day Amie was crucial with organizing all the vendors so that everything went right as planned. She is so amazing to work with and made everything about out wedding so easy and stress free. The food was fantastic, we have had multiple guests tell us that it was the best food they ever had at a wedding. They were also great accommodating dietary restrictions, one of our guests needed a vegan meal, and she said they made her a delicious dinner that was thoughtful and filling, which she said is rare for her at weddings. The servers were so kind, attentive, and fun. The coordination with food and drink was impeccable and no one had to wait in long lines at the bar, which was awesome! -

WMI is a literal dram of a place to have your wedding. Whatever you value most about in your venue search, WMI has it. Incredible scenery for your ceremony? You get to say “I do” with the rolling green mountains and a lovely flower garden behind you. Delicious food? The chef managed to make salmon for 100 people that had the texture of butter and was full of flavor. An amazing venue coordinator? There aren’t enough words in the English language for how incredible Amie is. She answers every annoying question an anxious bride (me) sends her over email. She is so organized but also has an impressive creative vision to ensure your day is so beautiful. There’s no need to hire a day-of coordinator when you have Amie. There’s barely a need to hire a planner when you have Amie (we didn’t have one). She has such great recommendations and relationships with all the wedding vendors in the area, which makes planning a destination wedding a breeze. She also has just such a wonderful calming presence that is invaluable in the craziness of wedding planning and day-of. If you’re deciding between WMI and another venue, stop considering- book WMI. -

Perfect weekend!
I can’t recommend this place strongly enough!!! We felt loved and cared for throughout the entire process from booking, planning, to the actual wedding weekend. Our friends and families are raving about the venue and it was so special to have our closest friends and family staying on site. With 14 spacious rooms in the Main inn and then three townhouses with two bedrooms each, You can build out the little community that you want to be surrounding you for your entire stay, and you can take comfort in knowing that the rest of your guests not on-site are having an amazing time exploring Manchester, Bennington and everything in between. We had our parents, grandmas, siblings and bridal party stay with us for the whole weekend. It was so nice to not have to worry about anyone traveling on the day of, and it was great that my grandma could go and rest when she needed to throughout the weekend without missing out. The events themselves were so much fun. The layout of the property makes each portion of your party feel unique and interesting; the welcome party, ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, after party and brunch each had their own spot and distinct vibe. Amie, the owner and wedding coordinator, is incredibly responsive to concerns and answered all my *hundreds?* of emails throughout the 15 month planning process. The barn is gorgeous, with the string lights and outdoor Edison bulbs the entire space lights Up like a fairytale. The grounds have so many gorgeous little nooks for beautiful photo moments, and there are hundreds of acres of hiking trails to explore. The food throughout the weekend was really delicious and reasonably priced. The bartenders made awesome signature cocktails and kept things moving swiftly, there was never a line. The entire staff functions like a well oiled machine, but they also make you feel so special, like yours is the only wedding that matters despite them having weddings almost every weekend in season. They are experienced professionals who know how to make your event amazing. Every detail that I was worried about was already attended to and planned for. They take care of everything and you don’t need to stress. If you’re considering this place, don’t hesitate to book it!! -

This was a phenomenal venue and we couldn't have asked for a better set-up! Amie and her team were absolutely a dream, assisting us with every question we had and attending to every need even before we knew we needed it. I highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to sit back and relax on the day of the wedding. :) We loved the vendue so much we would love to go back and just stay there! -

Words cannot describe how perfect The West Mountain Inn was for our wedding. Beyond just having the most idyllic barn and location, the Inn provided awesome service and excellent food. (Our guests are still telling us how much they loved the food.) Amie was exactly what I needed while planning and during the weekend in that she was low stress and very good at her work. All of my vendors were very glad to work with the West Mountain Inn and Amie. Everything was magical and we look forward to visiting the Inn for many, many years to come! -

The West Mountain Inn is an exceptional wedding venue - authentically rustic and humbly elegant. The innkeeper, Amie, was an absolute pleasure to work with. She's organized, dependable, easy going, and flexible. I also appreciated Amie's support working within a budget.
We had the BEST wedding weekend at the WMI in late August. It was fun having all of our closest family and friends on the property and we loved how quaint and unique the different rooms were at the Inn! We also reserved all rooms at The Arlington Inn nearby which made it easy for extended family to participate in the weekend festivities!
Amie hosted our rehearsal dinner/welcome party Friday night. Our guests LOVED the pizza bar - especially the buffalo chicken pizza! The sangria and apple cider doughnuts were also very popular. I appreciated Amie's wide assortment of wedding props which added extra character throughout the weekend.
The day of our wedding, Amie did a great job coordinating the vendors and getting everyone in the right place at the right time. The bridal suite was spacious and very well lit. The Saturday morning complimentary breakfast was impressive - great quality and unique ingredients. Our ceremony was at the maze garden which was absolutely stunning! We had dinner under a sailtop tent (I recommend spending the extra money for sailtop if possible), and we moved to the Barn for dancing after dinner. One recommendation: if the event is in the barn and it's going to be hot, plan for more fans!
While festivities must end at 11pm, Amie recommends the Millhouse suite as an after party location (right down the hill where our groomsmen stayed). It was perfect for our guests who wanted to keep the party going and the proximity didn't interrupt the flow of the night. Amie also coordinated shuttles for Friday/Saturday - everything ran smoothly and right on schedule!
Our guests loved the cheese/meat table at the cocktail hour - the cheeses were amazing! I was glad I upgraded the starter salad (with figs/goat cheese). We wanted to serve hot pretzels at the end of the night, but Amie couldn't get them from her distributor. Instead, I brought the pretzels from Sam's Club and Amie's team cooked them up and packaged them in our custom wrappers for guests as they left - I appreciated the flexibility and attention to detail!
I'm so grateful to have met Amie and to have experienced the hidden gem that is The West Mountain Inn!

Where to begin? The West Mountain Inn helped all of our dreams come true Friday-Sunday, and all of the days leading up to our event. The first time we toured WMI we had 10 others tours lined up and we almost cancelled all of them because we knew we had already found the spot. If you are looking for someplace authentic, that has picturesque views of the hills, a wonderful and warm event barn, and incredible food and hospitality on-site – you have found the place. We loved having approximately 40 guests stay on site with us in the charming guest rooms all weekend. We also had an incredible dinner and boisterous bonfire on Friday night and a lovely outdoor goodbye brunch on Sunday morning – think guests eating blueberry pancakes, omelettes-made-to-order, drinking coffee, etc. on a sprawling lawn and garden area on a beautiful VT morning. Amie, the WMI innkeeper, has great connections to vendors and her professionalism and goodnaturedness brought a sense of calm and ease to us throughout the whole process. Getting married here was ABSOLUTELY the best decision we made when it came to the wedding – thank you for everything, West Mountain Inn! We will never forget this most treasured weekend in our lives. -

Amie and her team at the West Mountain Inn rival Walt Disney in making your dreams come true. Words will not fully describe how amazing this place is, and it will forever hold a special place in our hearts. We knew immediately that it was the place where we wanted to get married. Upon a visit to check out the Inn as a possible venue, we ended up having dinner at the restaurant (chef Jeff is amazing by the way!), and met 2 couples- couples who were once strangers and are now friends from meeting by chance at the Inn- there whose children had been married at the Inn 15 + years ago. Both of these couples have made a point to come back every year to stay there themselves because they had such a fabulous time at the weddings. That right there shows you how special this place is. Everyone who stays there, has gotten married there, was a guest at a wedding or an event, they can all tell you that there is no place on earth like it. You feel so at home as soon as you walk in as if you’ve been coming there for years. We were fortunate enough to visit the Inn during all seasons, and I’m telling you it is gorgeous in good and bad weather conditions. We had the most spectacular wedding there, and I am so excited to visit in the years coming to celebrate anniversaries, bring future children there etc. Everyone who works there is so kind and extremely professional. They made sure that we had everything we needed, and so many of our guests who stayed there with us have since told me stories about how the staff helped them with special requests. Amie is a marvel of a woman. She is never in a bad mood, never stressed, and always gives you such individualized attention that it makes you feel like you’re the only couple she has getting married at the Inn that year. The Inn is so beautifully remote (without being in the middle of nowhere), that it feels like you’re in your own private world for the weekend. We decided to host a welcome dinner at the Inn the Friday night before the wedding, and so many people have told us that they felt like they were part of an intimate celebration that took place all weekend even though we had over 150 guests. I had so many people tell me that this was the most beautiful venue they had ever seen, and some women even said that they wished they could do their weddings over again and do it at the Inn! You couldn’t ask for more beautiful surroundings, delicious food, warm and welcoming staff, and a more wonderful place to get married than the West Mountain Inn. -

Breathtaking!
This past July I got married at the Inn! For months prior I was trying to find a venue that would fit my vision. Intimate, beautiful, easy and a place where my whole family can spend the weekend. Aime and the whole west mountain inn staff was all that and more! Planning was effortless. They answered my millions of questions with such patience! A few minutes before my planned outdoor ceremony it started pouring and within minutes they were prepared to hold the ceremony inside the barn and it was just as beautiful as I imagined! Aime was calm and helpful throughout the whole wedding and without a hiccup things ran smoothly. It truly was the best day of our lives. Thank you does not say enough! -

There's way too much to say about this gorgeous, magical place! Amie and her team listened carefully to our dream -- a wedding weekend with our closest family and friends all around us -- and made it happen. They made suggestions that wouldn't have occurred to us, went out of their way to make everything perfect, and celebrated both for us and with us (we forced a bunch of staffers to come dance with us at the reception!). Truly, we felt like family, and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect place to celebrate our marriage! -

We were married on 8.17.19 and it could not have been more perfect. Amie made the planning process really easy and was available throughout the past year to answer my many questions. On Friday night, we had a bbq rehearsal dinner on the back lawn and everyone was blown away by the food (ribs, swordfish, chicken, grilled vegetables, to die for Mac and cheese, and most importantly, the most to die for apple crisp, which many guests enjoyed a second serving). After the dinner we welcomed all of our wedding guests to welcome drinks with a s’mores bonfire. This was such a fun chance to be able to greet all of our guests and relax and get excited for the next day. Everyone was reminiscing how they felt like they were at summer camp. On Saturday the forecast was not good, and I was really nervous. Our rain plan was actually great because the barn is just gorgeous, but I had dreamed of getting married outside. Amie was so calm, and a few hours before we decided to move the cocktail hour closer to the inn so that if it did rain, we could easily move inside. Everything ended up working out perfectly as the rain held off for a beautiful ceremony and cocktail hour, and downpoured just as we were making our entrance into the barn. Throughout the whole rain debacle, all of the staff were so accommodating in doing whatever it took to make sure we were happy. They could have easily insisted that we go with the rain plan just in case, but they didn’t and everything worked out just perfectly. I could go on and on about how amazing every meal we ate was, how helpful and friendly all of the staff were, and how much everyone truly enjoyed the weekend, but I think the following best exemplifies the experience: on Saturday morning, I was getting ready with my bridesmaids. I looked out the window and saw my grandfather slowly walking on the grounds with his cane. One of the amazing employees drove over to him and asked him if he wanted a tour. I saw him hop in the gold cart with the biggest smile on his face, driving all over to see the alpacas and other beautiful scenery. It truly made my weekend to see how happy that made him. Thank you so much to Amie and everyone else at the inn, we truly could not have asked for a better weekend! -

We could not have wished for a better wedding venue than the West Mountain Inn! Every step of the way Amie was there to answer questions and keep me on track with planning - something I was extremely grateful for as a busy medical student living across the country. She coordinated everything day of as well and made the whole process feel easy. Plus, since their chef cooks all the delicious meals it checked off an extra step in the planning process! We were able to have so many of our guests stay with us at the inn - the property is reserved entirely for you for a weekend wedding - and that made the weekend even more special and memorable for all of us. It felt like a home away from home with our closest friends and family!
The West Mountain Inn was the first venue we visited and I fell in love immediately. The entire property is gorgeous and offers so many options for where to host all of your wedding events. We were able to enjoy a rehearsal dinner on the patio (with trips to visit the alpacas across the lawn) followed by s'mores at the fire pit, wedding ceremony in the labyrinth garden with views of the mountains, cocktail hour in the meadow, and reception in the gorgeous barn- what more could you ask for?! It is a truly magical place for a wedding that is authentic, full of natural beauty, and refined all at the same time.
Aside from the beauty of the venue, which our guests raved about for weeks afterward, we are so incredibly grateful for the amazing staff the WMI. Everyone was so kind, caring, and supportive throughout the entire process, especially when we ran into an unexpected emergency the morning of the wedding. When the situation required us to stay in the area for longer than expected, we were welcomed to stay for as long as we needed and we truly felt taken care of. The sign at the front of the Inn says "You're one of the folks" and that statement could not be more true. We were treated like family and we can't wait to return to the Inn for years to come. -

Our wedding was amazing and everything we asked for was do-able. People still talk about our ceremony in the garden and the amazing night in the barn. 10. WMI offers a winter tasting weekend—you can spend a weekend at the Inn with some of the other couples getting married during the upcoming wedding season to sample many of the food and drink options.
9. Wedding planning at the WMI is a choose your own adventure-- deciding where to hold the ceremony/reception, food and serving choices for meals, scheduling day trips for guests, late night snack and brunch options. You definitely end up with a wedding that feels uniquely yours!
8. Great local vendors to work with! Our photographer was excellent, the flowers were gorgeous, our DJ had us dancing all night, and my hair and makeup were perfect.
7. The food was amazing! From the ceremony, to rehearsal dinner, to cocktail hour apps, to breakfast and brunch--loved it all!
6. No need to be an arts & crafts maven--there are so many cute details around the property and props to borrow that you can have a Pinterest-worthy wedding with little to no effort.
5. Your guests will love it! I was worried it was a little out of the way for out of town guests, but I heard nothing but rave reviews.

Amie, the Inn Keeper and Wedding Planner, was incredible. She was extremely responsive to all of our multitude of questions, and when it came to the day of the wedding, ensured that every single detail went perfectly. The West Mountain Inn is beautiful every day, but on our wedding day the grounds were immaculate. The flowers around the Inn, and in the labyrinth we beautiful, the cafe lights lining the walkways to the barn and the fire pit, the Barn itself lit up just so; every single detail was perfect and made our day the best of our lives.
We have had so many of our guests say to us that our wedding at the West Mountain Inn was the best that they had ever been to. I know that we are a bit biased in that sentiment, but to hear it echoed, rings true about how much we loved our day and experience with Amie and the West Mountain Inn!! -

Melissa Sent on 06/10/2018Amie and her team at the West Mountain Inn were truly wonderful to work with throughout the entire planning process of our wedding on May 27th. I couldn’t imagine having our wedding anywhere else! Amie listened to us and made suggestions as necessary to make sure everything went smoothly on our big day. She really knows what she is doing and is super down to earth and made us feel very at ease, which is exactly what we needed! As far as the Inn goes, you’d be hard pressed to find a more beautiful, natural backdrop - it’s set far back and high above the road so you truly feel secluded and away from everything. Chef Jeff really hit it out of the park with the food; everything (including our tasty late night slider bar!) was fantastic. He went above and beyond to make sure my own allergies and those of our guests were met, including making two special separate meals for our guests that needed them. We’d also like to thank Joanne who was super friendly and accommodating to us and our wedding party the entire evening and morning after. We can’t wait to go back and see everyone hopefully very soon!

Southern Vermont Charm
Talk about a hidden gem! We got married here in October 2022 and our guests were floored by the location, beauty, and atmosphere of this quaint mountain bed and breakfast. Every guest is greeted by the Inn owner and event coordinator Amie’s two beautiful golden retrievers. We had our ceremony in front of the labyrinth garden, right in front of the alpaca barn. (Yes, we did have some photos with these furry friends) We had our reception in the barn and it was wonderfully arranged - such an intimate and inviting atmosphere for eating, drinking, and dancing. We loved having our entire close family and wedding party staying with us at the inn, it made all of the weekend events that much easier. Our two dogs were also allowed to stay on site and attend the ceremony, which we and guests loved. Amie was so relaxed and laid back during the planning process. It was all so simple! The only miscommunication we had was when we thought the venue staff would be setting up the centerpieces, when in fact some male cousins arranged it all the morning of the wedding. (We prepared a detailed diagram so that was fine) We also tried to communicate the high level of drinking that would be happening with our rowdy crowd, but still we managed to run out of signature drinks during cocktail hour and needed to bring on extra bartenders for the reception to alleviate the bar line. The woodfired pizza for the rehearsal dinner, all the breakfast and brunch meals as well as our cocktail and reception food was delicious. We could live on the pizza crust alone, the cornbread stuffing, cheesy potato casserole, and the pumpkin pancakes. Amie and her chef made sure to take care of each guest with dietary restrictions without a problem. We stayed an extra day after the wedding to decompress and the inn had no trouble accommodating us where we could stay with our dogs. All in all we had a magical experience in Southern Vermont and urge anyone looking for a barn-style wedding to check out West Mountain Inn!
