Every Detail Covered

I recommend Candice to all of my engaged friends, and my husband and constantly talk about what an asset she was on our wedding day. We started working with Candice a month out from our wedding and she helped us perfect our already existing planning, guided us through things we hadn't even thought of, and shared her expertise and wisdom when we had questions or concerns. We were lucky to already be working with Candice when I unexpectedly broke my wrist and had to have surgery a week before our wedding. To say I am thankful for Candice would be an understatement. With only one good arm, abnormally cold April weather, and lots of friends and family pitching in to help on our wedding day, she handled everything with grace, efficiency, and a matter of fact manner. From making sure we always had a fresh drink in our hands, to packing up a meal for us to have at the end of the night, Candice thought of every single detail and I can't imagine what our wedding would have been like without her.

The story of our experience with Candice as day of coordinator from Sweet Events TX is perhaps unique. Our son became engaged on Christmas Day 2016. He and his fiancee began planning an intimate wedding in California for the following August. They asked that we plan on giving them a bigger Texas reception in May 2018 for many more family members and friends. Naturally, we agreed. Immediately we began to secure a venue and vendors. The thought of handling everything in a city in which we did not reside prompted us to hire a coordinator. In July 2016 we did that. From December 2016 to March 2017 we had enornous difficulties communicating with this coordinator who left us in the lurch when we realized she had left the state without refunding the money we had paid. Quickly we researched coordinators and contacted Candice. She spent 90 minutes in a detailed phone conversation with us and then spoke long distance to the couple in California. From the moment we hired Candice we all had confidence that she had the qualities we needed. From March until the event in late May, Candice was always quickly responsive to every phone call, text or email. Her organizational skills were apparent and very comforting to us and to the bride, a definite type A personality. After contacting all our vendors she helped us secure the last vendor needed, a florist. A detailed timeline was produced which allowed the bride, the groom, us and all vendors to know exactly what was expected and when. The day of the reception we felt very relaxed that everything was under control. The hiccups were few and far between and very minor. Our son and daughter in law and our guests all had a great time with great Texas barbecue and a terrific DJ in a beautiful venue. Best of all, my husband and I were relaxed the entire evening and enjoyed every aspect of the party. Candice deserves a five star recommendation.

When I began planning our November 2017 wedding I thought I could handle everything on my own. The closer we got to the actual day, I realized how overwhelmed I was and how planning one of the happiest days of my life was actually causing me stress and anxiety as it approached--not how a bride should feel! As soon as Candice joined our team I felt instantly better. She is so organized and thinks of every detail right from the start. The few months leading up to our wedding were smooth and stress free and I owe that to Candice. Best money you'll spend for your big day.
