Our wedding was everything we hoped for, and we couldn’t have done it without Strange Events. We had a dream team consisting of the owner, Renee, our coordinator, Lisa, and the officiant, Marianne. Renee’s attention to detail is second to none; she has everything down to a science and knows exactly what needs to be done and when. We can’t express how appreciative we are of having her guidance and structure. You can tell that she puts her heart into her work and genuinely cares about the couples she works with, as well as her staff.

We absolutely loved working with our coordinator, Lisa. She was exceptionally organized, communicative, and flexible. We appreciate that her personality perfectly balanced our nervous energy and kept us calm and reassured while making sure everything was taken care of. We had just one concern throughout the process, which Lisa and Renee resolved promptly. We genuinely felt supported leading up to and during our wedding day. If anything did go wrong, I had no idea.. and that’s how it should be!

Last but not least, a shoutout to our officiant, Marianne Vold. My husband and I can’t emphasize how wonderful Marianne was. She joined us later in the process but we instantly connected! She truly took the time to understand us as a couple and crafted a ceremony that felt so genuine and heartfelt. She is not only a wonderful person but also a talented writer. Seriously, the script she wrote was like poetry. We couldn’t have asked for a better person to guide us through such an important moment.

To start...Renee (the owner) is AMAZING. Despite being given her contact info less that 6 weeks before our event, she went above and beyond to help us out and was so incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Our wedding would have been a mess had Renee and her amazing team was involved. I am literally filled with gratitude and awe for both Renee and her amazing team. Our family and friends absolutely adored the staff and could not stop talking about how incredible they all were (myself, the bride, included). The team took what I displayed on one table and made it even better. They improvised because I was a less than great communicator (I was super overwhelmed), but the team took it in stride and made things look better than I ever could have envisioned. I feel so blessed to have found Renee and her wonderful crew.
When I booked the venue and the foodtrucks 18 months prior to the wedding, I had no concept of all that I wasn't considering. Strange Events and Renee and her team saved the day. Love these folks so much and feel that despite my 5 star review, they deserve an even higher review (if the platform allowed it).

We cannot say enough good things about Renee and her team at Strange Events. Renee helped us through the planning process for our wedding, answering my incessant questions from things like what decor to use to achieve our vision to logistics about transportation. She was a grounding presence throughout, and proved invaluable throughout the weekend. We hired an assistant, Ali, who helped Renee given the size of our event, and she was just as awesome.

They were so attentive to detail, helping us with setup so that everything in our space was perfect and we could relax on the morning of our wedding. During our venue walk through the day before, we mentioned how we wished one of us had ordered the pasta dish because it sounded so good--during the reception, guess what was waiting for us?! A dish of pasta along with our entrees that we had ordered.

That is just one of many examples of how Renee and Ali listened to us and made us feel SO special on our big day. Everything ran smoothly, from our ceremony at the church to the events of our reception. If anything went wrong, I didn't know about it! They helped with venue breakdown as well so that the next day, our families could just go grab the boxes of our decor and didn't have to worry about clean up.

Long story short, Renee was an absolute pleasure to work with and made our wedding weekend stress-free and truly magical. Should I ever have any event planning or staffing needs in the future, I will be using Strange Events! Truly a great value an wonderful experience. Thank you, Renee!

We hired Strange Events day-of coordination and bartending/event staff for our wedding, and they were a pleasure to work throughout the entire process. Renee’s verbal and written communication was great, and she gave us crucial feedback that helped the event reach its full potential. Our day-of coordinator Wendy and the event staff were all pleasant and professional, and the wedding went off without so much as a hitch. It was the proudest day of our lives, thanks in large part to Strange Events!

We are a wedding catering service and we hired this company to help us with the wedding, as it was a bit outside of our normal range. The team was great!! I would definitely work with them again.

Lastly, we used SE bartenders for our cocktail hour and reception and multiple guests commented on how great they all were.

I needed some additional help for my wedding but found out about a month before the date and they came in at the last minute and saved me! Unbelievably kind and easy to work with. Can’t recommend them highly enough!

Without a doubt: our wedding would not have happened without Renee, Dahneshia, and Strange Events. Lifesavers, superheroes, geniuses - whatever you want to call them, they made our wedding weekend as magical as it was!! We live in Los Angeles and had this grand dream (delusion?) of a camp wedding weekend in Maine (where neither of us are from), and Strange Events made it the smoothest, easiest planning process it could've been. They were attentive, communicative, and eager to help; any question we had about a vendor or a location, Renee was quick to offer advice and guidance. She has solid relationships with vendors in the area, which made coordinating a lot of moving parts so easy because not only could she recommend companies, she could get in touch with them if we were having issues. We felt we were in safe hands the entire time and can't express how grateful we were/are because of it. So many people talk about how planning a wedding is so stressful, and we're constantly saying, "Oh really? We're having a blast! Find yourself a Strange Events!!" And their staff!!! Dahneshia, our month-of coordinator, was the absolute BEST. Lovely, funny, engaging, warm, but also incredibly organized and diligent. We felt like we were hanging out with a friend, one who wanted our weekend to be exactly what we imagined. She kept everything calm and fun, and did a great job of allowing us to be in the moment throughout the day. We also hired event staff through Strange Events and they were brilliant. They knew where to be, how to help, and any questions or concerns we had, they addressed with smiles. They made the dreaded clean up go so quickly, and helped handle any of the residual *stuff* so we didn't have to worry in our post-wedding bliss. The bartenders were just as great!! Organized and professional, but also friendly and fit right into the vibe of the night. We can't gush enough about this special group of people. If you're debating whether to get a coordinator, DO IT. If you're debating whether they should be through Strange Events, DO IT. Thank you to Renee, Dahneshia, and co for everything!!!

I hired Strange Events to provide Event Staff Services for the day of my wedding. Renee's team was AMAZING!! From setting up to taking down at the end of the evening her team DID NOT STOP! Gabi, Danielle, and Aloyoise made sure everything was perfect for our day- they were so kind and patient with this nervous bride. Renee and her team are AMAZING!! 4 days before our wedding we found out our caterer got COVID and they didn’t have a plan B for us. Renee and Dahneshia swooped in and saved us! At first with brainstorming and advice and then ultimately finding a restaurant to replace our caterer in less than a week which is literally a miracle. Not only that but they were able to find Bartenders and staff for us (which our caterer was also going to supply) last minute during peak COVID and hiring shortages. I still can’t believe we pulled off our wedding and it was 100% because of Strange Events. Before this craziness Renee was amazing with answering lots of questions, recommending vendors, putting together a timeline for us, doing a site visit, helping us navigate COVID and calming my nerves. As soon as we hired her the planning got SO much easier, my only regret was that we didn’t hire her sooner!! Dahneshia was amazing day of the wedding taking care of all the details so I didn’t have to worry or answer questions from anyone. I literally can’t recommend them enough, hire them immediately!! :)
