Stonewall Golf Club

The best location!!!! We wanted a location that was a little bit away from the city and was full service and Stonewall delivered. We had the most picture perfect day at the club and everything was amazing! The food, service and staff were all incredible and cannot recommend enough!! Alexis was fabulous in making sure everything ran smoothly and everything was under control. We had 175 guests and the entire Stonewall team made sure everyone had what they needed. From the beginning stages of planning and visions, the team made sure we had a clear vision of the timeline, layout and design. It made planning the wedding very stress free not having to worry about the details. Highly recommend to anyone getting married in the NOVA area!

Alexis and the rest of the crew at the Stonewall Golf Club were crucial to making our wedding day as perfect as it was. For the purposes of this review, I'll be splitting my opinion into four categories: the price, the venue's location, the food, and the personnel/accommodations.

The Price: While the facility's cost is slightly higher than at other venues, the results and quality of service cannot be denied. When you pay for this venue, you are not simply renting out the space: You are signing a contract that the venue and its team will strive to make your wedding/event exactly as you envisioned.

Location: Stonewall Golf Club is a beautiful clubhouse located just off the golf course. It comes with a side restaurant that can be bought out for extra floor space and an outdoor seating area where you can hold the actual ceremony. The multiple ceiling fans ensure that even on hotter days, the guests underneath will be cooled off. Once our ceremony was over, we were guided by Alexis, the event coordinator, in a golf cart to a bridge by the lake, where we took some amazing pictures.

Food: Stonewall Golf Club offers a wide array of food, all of which can be arranged for a tasting. My wife and I were hard-pressed to make a menu for the wedding, as all of the main dishes we tried were delicious. The venue also takes allergies of all kinds into consideration, including gluten. My uncle has Celiac disease, so gluten of any kind can make him sick. The venue accommodated this restriction by offering a wide range of gluten-free dinner options. They also allowed us to store our wedding cakes in their kitchen refrigerators on the wedding day.

Personnel/Accommodations: I cannot give enough praise and kudos to Alexis and the rest of the crew at Stonewall Golf Course. From the serving staff to the kitchen staff to the bartenders, every single member of the team was courteous, friendly, and efficient. Our wedding day was only as perfect as it was because of their professionalism and hard work. We were even allowed to store decorations/props from the wedding day in the bridal suite to pick up the next day, since we were completely exhausted on the day of.

I can think of no negative points to list for this venue. Communication from the staff, their hard work, and the accommodations they made for us ensured that the overall product/event went over without any hitches whatsoever. This place deserves your business, and I couldn't recommend it more.

I recently hosted my daughter's wedding reception at Stonewall Golf Club in Gainesville, VA, and it was absolutely everything we could have hoped for. From the very beginning, Sarah and Alexis guided us every step of the way, making the entire planning process smooth and stress-free.

The reception was perfection — every detail came together beautifully, and our guests had the most wonderful time. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection, and the staff was incredibly accommodating and a joy to work with throughout the entire event.

Alexis deserves a special shout out for masterfully managing the flow of the evening from beginning to end. I placed my complete trust in her, and she delivered beyond expectations — not once did I have to worry.

And if you're planning an event here, do not skip the Mashed Potato Bar. It was an absolute hit! Interactive for guests, loaded with wonderful toppings, and so delicious — it was one of the most talked-about highlights of the night.

So so grateful for the Stonewall team for making our wedding so special. Sarah and Alexis are wonderful. They made the process very easy and enjoyable. All our guests keep talking about how good the food was! Highly recommend!

My husband and I had our wedding at this venue on 9/13/25 and it was beautiful. The golf course is a beautiful background for photos and the venue provides almost everything that you need to host a wedding it made the planning so much easier. Our day of coordinator was excellent, she helped with decorations and even helped with getting the bridal party ready and outside for the ceremony. The food was excellent and they had such a variety of foods to choose from. Our experience was a 10 out of 10. I would recommend this venue to anyone planning their wedding.

Stonewall really has it all - gorgeous scenery/grounds, amazing on-site chef/kitchen, and fantastic planning staff and resources.
The value is great considering how few extra things you need to add in. You will only need to hire vendors you’d probably want to on your own anyways: the photographer, videographer, flowers, DJ, officiant, and cake/dessert (and Stonewall can now handle some desserts for you as well). Caroline was a newer addition to their staff but was amazing at answering questions and responding in a timely fashion once you book with them. They have a great selection of linens, chargers, and other things you may need to stress about providing yourself at other venues.
You’ll want set-up and clean-up to be the last things on your mind on your wedding day - Stonewall will take care of all of it, as well as set aside any personal items for picking up the next day or so. We had some leftover desserts they held in their fridge for us as well.
They are very well organized when helping plan out the timeline. Caroline was also our day-of coordinator which is a must for a minimally stressful day!

Had my wedding in and it was the most amazing day. Service, food, drinks, everything was perfect. Bethany was amazing to work with! Highly recommend having a wedding here. It is also just BEAUTIFUL!

We recently got married here and couldn't have had a better experience. From the moment we toured this venue and met Sarah we knew we wanted to get married here. Being able to have our ceremony on the 18th hole was a dream. Sarah and her team from start to finish made our day flawless! Everyone raved about how amazing everything was and I didn't have to worry about a thing the day of! If you are thinking of getting married at a golf course in the Northern VA area I highly recommend Stonewall Golf Club!

We just got married there last month and had an amazing experience! Bethany was on top of everything and was very easy to work with. She was flexible with our wishes and also gave good recommendations to us to help the day go smoothly. The venue is beautiful with lots of great places for photos. The covered pavilion was my favorite aspect of the place since we had a pretty outdoor ceremony but were still protected from the sun/possible rain. We were very happy how our wedding turned out!
