I recently hosted my daughter's wedding reception at Stonewall Golf Club in Gainesville, VA, and it was absolutely everything we could have hoped for. From the very beginning, Sarah and Alexis guided us every step of the way, making the entire planning process smooth and stress-free.

The reception was perfection — every detail came together beautifully, and our guests had the most wonderful time. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection, and the staff was incredibly accommodating and a joy to work with throughout the entire event.

Alexis deserves a special shout out for masterfully managing the flow of the evening from beginning to end. I placed my complete trust in her, and she delivered beyond expectations — not once did I have to worry.

And if you're planning an event here, do not skip the Mashed Potato Bar. It was an absolute hit! Interactive for guests, loaded with wonderful toppings, and so delicious — it was one of the most talked-about highlights of the night.

So so grateful for the Stonewall team for making our wedding so special. Sarah and Alexis are wonderful. They made the process very easy and enjoyable. All our guests keep talking about how good the food was! Highly recommend!

My husband and I had our wedding at this venue on 9/13/25 and it was beautiful. The golf course is a beautiful background for photos and the venue provides almost everything that you need to host a wedding it made the planning so much easier. Our day of coordinator was excellent, she helped with decorations and even helped with getting the bridal party ready and outside for the ceremony. The food was excellent and they had such a variety of foods to choose from. Our experience was a 10 out of 10. I would recommend this venue to anyone planning their wedding.

Stonewall really has it all - gorgeous scenery/grounds, amazing on-site chef/kitchen, and fantastic planning staff and resources.
The value is great considering how few extra things you need to add in. You will only need to hire vendors you’d probably want to on your own anyways: the photographer, videographer, flowers, DJ, officiant, and cake/dessert (and Stonewall can now handle some desserts for you as well). Caroline was a newer addition to their staff but was amazing at answering questions and responding in a timely fashion once you book with them. They have a great selection of linens, chargers, and other things you may need to stress about providing yourself at other venues.
You’ll want set-up and clean-up to be the last things on your mind on your wedding day - Stonewall will take care of all of it, as well as set aside any personal items for picking up the next day or so. We had some leftover desserts they held in their fridge for us as well.
They are very well organized when helping plan out the timeline. Caroline was also our day-of coordinator which is a must for a minimally stressful day!

Had my wedding in and it was the most amazing day. Service, food, drinks, everything was perfect. Bethany was amazing to work with! Highly recommend having a wedding here. It is also just BEAUTIFUL!

We recently got married here and couldn't have had a better experience. From the moment we toured this venue and met Sarah we knew we wanted to get married here. Being able to have our ceremony on the 18th hole was a dream. Sarah and her team from start to finish made our day flawless! Everyone raved about how amazing everything was and I didn't have to worry about a thing the day of! If you are thinking of getting married at a golf course in the Northern VA area I highly recommend Stonewall Golf Club!

We just got married there last month and had an amazing experience! Bethany was on top of everything and was very easy to work with. She was flexible with our wishes and also gave good recommendations to us to help the day go smoothly. The venue is beautiful with lots of great places for photos. The covered pavilion was my favorite aspect of the place since we had a pretty outdoor ceremony but were still protected from the sun/possible rain. We were very happy how our wedding turned out!

When we were searching for wedding venues, it was important for us the food, wedding coordination on-site, ambiance, nature elements, and that we had to add minimum decor to the venue. And Stonewall Golf club checked all our wishlist, and most important of all in our budget. Sarah was the 1st person that got in contact with us for our first visit to the site, we love her clear and direct communication. After the first visit we fell in love with the place! But, we had to try their food, and went to the Cannon Brass rest. which the chef is the one in-charge of weddings and there food was amazing! Once we signed contract, Bethany took great care of us as wedding coordinator. She went above and beyond to make sure our wedding went as planned. It mean a lot to me as a Bride because I was doing everything by myself having my family far away. Bethany help us with food tasting to choose our guest menu, timeline, vendors and go over wedding details, decor like linen, napkin color, table number, wedding arch, place cards, champagne tower, bridal suite, etc. Also, I have to include the staff that work that day during our event. They did an amazing job serving food, bartender, cleaning, organizing chairs/tables, they make seem everything effortless. Forever grateful with Stonewall for making our special wedding day a eventful one. We hope to celebrate more memories with them soon! Do yourself a favor and hired the amazing team at stonewall golf club for your wedding!

Everything about this venue was perfect! The club is stunningly beautiful, and the event spaces that were available were perfect for the size of our guest list (~160 people). We had the steak and swordfish as our entrees, and honestly I would eat the swordfish daily if I could - it was so good! But the chef was so accommodating with food allergies, diets, and they even brought in authentic Filipino food instead of making it themselves when we asked for that special food to be included in our app choices! The service on the day of was phenomenal, and every guest had wonderful things to say about the staff. Regarding wedding planning, Bethany was an amazing coordinator to work with! We loved the fact that a lot of things were handled in-house by Bethany and her team - we definitely paid for it, but it was absolutely worth it to have her be in charge of things such as table and chair setup, food prep and setup, coordinating with the vendors the day of, etc. She also provided fantastic recommendations for vendors they frequently work with – we used many and were extremely happy with our decision to trust Bethany and her team! Bethany was super responsive and helpful throughout our entire experience. There were a few times when we had miscommunications, as anyone would, but she was 100% professional and understanding and striving to find a solution to the situation no matter what, which we really appreciated. I was never angry or upset with anything she did when representing Stonewall Golf Club. The price to rent the club was expensive without the food and drink costs, but because we had such a large party we were able to get a discount since we required use of both rooms within the club - the ballroom, and the restaurant. The restaurant has an elegant, midwest supper-club vibe to it, which I absolutely loved! We were able to keep the wooden chairs in the room which kept to that theme. And the ballroom was beautiful! Because of our large party Bethany had the DJ set up in the restaurant with the bar, and the dinner was served in the ballroom. Additionally, we had access to the covered patio and the green space up by the clubhouse outside. We were able to put up our giant "VA is for Lovers" Love sign, which was the theme of our reception, and it created a beautiful photo-op next to the patio. Overall, we were able to have the entire event space for 6 hours (we paid for an extra hour so that we could have a private dance after the send-off). Sparklers are allowed outside, which was definitely a plus! The TVs were left on during the entire 6 hours, which I was frustrated to learn about later after our honeymoon, but honestly I didn't notice on the day of. They have a strict no shots policy which I was definitely ok with - we had enough alcohol there since we had an open bar, and when people brought in outside alcohol Bethany and her team handled the situation with professionalism and poise. Also we had access to the back room for the entire day which was amazing! And being able to drop off items the night before AND pick up items the day after was a HUGE plus! Overall, choosing Stonewall was the most cost-effective option we were considering, and we think it's the best wedding venue in the area! Thank you Bethany and the entire team at Stonewall for making our wedding day absolutely perfect!

From the food to the space to the day of coordination, stonewall is amazing!

I could not say enough incredible things about my wedding experience at Stonewall. Sarah Puckett, is one of the best in the business and truly cared about every single tiny detail that made our wedding the best day. She was extremely knowledgeable in all things weddings and had incredible advice about table decorations, guest numbers, food decisions etc. The entire staff was so welcoming and worked extremely hard to make sure that we were taken care of the whole day. This venue had everything we could ever ask for: phenomenal food, a beautiful location, and fantastic staff. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would.

When my now husband and I first got engaged, we toured so many different venues during our search. After walking into Stonewall, we knew it was the one! We loved the large windows and how much natural light came into the ballroom. You also cannot beat their view overlooking Lake Manassas! It's gorgeous. Sarah was fantastic in explaining the different packages/options to us and answering all of our questions upfront before we decided to sign the contract! We met Savannah, the special events coordinator, during our tasting day, and she is THE ABSOLUTE BEST. I have a very Type A personality, and Savannah put my mind completely as ease. She would answer my ongoing lists and lists of questions, have additional calls or meetings with us when requested, and she was so professional throughout the whole process. (We had an email thread of over 70 emails to give you an idea!!) Not only did she do an amazing job leading up to the big day, but she (and the rest of the Stonewall staff) executed our vision so well on our wedding day! Our guests told us multiple times that they loved how all the décor was set up. If there were any issues with the other vendors or anything at all, Savannah took care of everything for us. My mom made it a point to tell me how much she liked Savannah as well. I cannot recommend Savannah and Stonewall enough -- you will be in good hands with Savannah and the rest of the Stonewall staff on your big day!

The Stonewall Golf Club staff gave us a beautiful wedding day. It was the wedding of my dreams with a mixture of my favorites: beautiful lakes, golf, blue skies and a banquet hall touched with elegance. Sarah, the lead planner teed up the event and Savannah, the second planner, knocked it out of the ballpark. What a day! I highly recommend this this beautiful location and their team.

We had the most seamless and effortless experience with team and staff at Stonewall. They were extremely helpful and guided us all the way from planning to the day of - and made sure to address all of our needs. The food was amazing, the staff was perfect and the only thing I wish is that we had more time in the day.! I highly recommend this venue - we even got married in January and were still able to find a couple of spots outdoors for some sunset photos.

We would highly recommend this beautiful venue for your wedding! We had no complaints throughout our 14 month planning process. Sarah and the staff were very helpful. If there was an issue on the day of, it was handled and we had no idea! The ground are beautiful and make pictures 10 times more gorgeous. The staff was great! During the reception, our drinks were never empty and our bridal party was taken care of as well! 10/10 would recommend this amazing venue!

SGC was just pure amazing, I can list out every good thing about this venue but this review would be pages long. In short, here is a summary of why this venue deserve a 5 stars (more if I could).

My original international wedding was cancelled and I needed to re-plan a whole wedding locally within 6 weeks. After contacting multiple venues and losing hope, I contacted SGC. After hearing my story, SGC was willing to take on my wedding when they weren't planning to host 2 events in 1 day. SGC was able to put together a wedding within 6 weeks and make it look and feel like a wedding that took a year to plan. The food was amazing, the staff was bomb, and both Savannah & Sarah were just great. The communication between Savannah & Sarah was on point, I never had to wait to long to hear back from them about details or answers to my questions. Long story short, SGC just cared about us and did everything they could to ensure I had the wedding of my dreams. They literally went above and beyond any expectations I had and literally gave me a wedding I will never forget.

If you want a venue and staff who cares about you and your wedding, go with SGC.

Stonewall Golf Club was the best wedding venue my husband and I could possibly have chosen! Not only is the ballroom and terrace absolutely gorgeous, but the land surrounding it is well-maintained and breathtaking also. From the moment we walked in to meet with the wedding coordinator, we were greeted promptly by the staff in the restaurant and offered a drink (in our opinion, a very classy gesture and one which gave us a foreshadowing of their excellent customer service skills), Sarah and Savannah were both so wonderful to work with while planning our wedding. They listened to our ideas and were always positive and willing to accommodate and help us execute them. Throughout the entire process, the communication with them was amazing--always responsive and positive. Our reception was absolutely perfect! It was so nice to trust these women with helping us on our special day. We are so grateful to have worked with them and would HIGHLY recommend this location to other couples looking for the perfect venue.

The team at Stonewall Golf Club is absolutely amazing. When my previous venue cancelled on us as a result of covid, Sarah was able to save the day and we booked a week after talking with her. She was very thorough and responsive during the entire process. I also had the pleasure to meet Savannah closer to my wedding date who made sure I was organized the entire wedding day. I did not stress at all thanks to these two. Also the venue is absolutely beautiful! My guests raved about how beautiful the ceremony and reception areas were. Also the food was sooo good! I received so many compliments from my guests about their entrees. Don’t look any further than Stonewall Golf Club!

Sarah snd Savannah .. I can not put into words how THANKFUL we are to have you guys help with our wedding!! You guys went above and beyond to make sure I didn’t have to worry about a thing. Sarah you always answered all of my emails and all my concerns in a timely matter , you catered to my every need and that’s why I never had to turn into Bridezilla LOL! Sarah at Stonewall offered us an amazing site for our daughter’s wedding reception! She was prompt, professional, and courteous throughout the planning process and tended to our every need during the event itself. We highly recommend this venue! Our guests gave rave reviews. The club is a beautiful location, indoors and out.

Words cannot I describe how much we enjoyed working with Sarah, as she was very accommodating throughout our wedding experience! Not only is she knowledgeable about vendors, decorators, and florists, she always went above and beyond to ensure that we were comfortable, and happy.

Our guests raved about the venue, especially the beautiful views of the golf course and lake, as well the natural light that flooded the reception room. The waiters and bartenders made the guests feel welcome, and added to their overall dining experience. ☺️

My fiance and I decided to get married during COVID-19. The staff at Stonewall was amazing. First, they worked with us to create a "Mini-wedding" package that fit our needs. Then, two weeks before the wedding, when the capacity size was reduced again, they met with us to ensure we had the ceremony we wanted. The space in general was amazing. The inside was great, then we were able to take pictures outside and on the golf course. It was around the holidays so we were able to use their Christmas decorations. They were exceptional!!

Stonewall was my number one choice! Not only only are the views of Lake Manassas breathtaking but it's the perfect location from a logistics standpoint (hotels, shopping, after-party spots located about 1 mile from the venue at promenade at Virginia Gatewate). Although COVID put a wrench into those plans -- wedding size reduced from 125 to 40 -- I still couldn't have asked for better day! It was a beautiful 75 degree Fall day and the colorful leaves looked amazing in the backdrop of most photos. The Staff went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly -- one of the servers even came out onto the 18th green to bring my husband and I hors d'oeuvres while we took wedding photos during cocktail hour! If you have a larger group, definitely consider renting the Brass Cannon restaurant -- we had planned to do so because it is so warm and inviting. I believe they just did renovations which makes it look even nicer. Hands down wouldn't change a thing -- beautiful venue and logistically easy to plan the little things surrounding the big day (hotels, rehearsal dinner, after party -- everything is literally right around the corner)!

Stonewall Golf Club was the perfect place to have our wedding, the staff were kind and organized, pictures turned out amazing, and overall, the night was perfect. It was very stressful to get married during a pandemic, and after our original venue decided to remain closed during the pandemic we were scrambling for a new venue on the same date. Despite the challenges and the decision to go from a large wedding (150 people) to a very small wedding (15 people max, bridal party and vendors only), Stonewall Golf club was flexible and made it feel safe and normal, despite having to completely change the vision of the wedding. The staff were amazing, offering to work with us to make sure the day was perfect, the menus were exactly what we wanted, and they helped us to have the best (and incredibly fun) wedding. Samantha Bishop was the original wedding planner that we worked with, and she is absolutely amazing, we could not thank her enough. Stonewall now has a new wedding planner, Sarah, and she is also wonderful and was there with Samantha during our wedding. They ensured the day went flawlessly. They made sure any possible issue was resolved without notice, which I found out when my bridesmaids mentioned a few weeks after the wedding that they helped them when their shoes gave them blisters (and I didn’t even notice)! Everyone who worked the event was amazing including our bartender and Lisandro who was super helpful and nice. We HIGHLY recommend this venue!

We looked at many venues, before choosing Stonewall Golf Club in Gainesville, VA. We are very happy with our decision from start to the end. Samantha Bishop and her team were wonderful to work with.

Stonewall Golf club and their whole staff are absolutely amazing. Being a bride during COVID-19 times has had many hurdles to overcome. After planning a wedding for 7 months, our venue decided to cancel on us two weeks before our wedding. Stonewall Gold Club and Samantha Bishop came to our rescue and became our heroes to allow us to get married on our day at their venue. We called them in tears after learning the news of our original venue. Within a day we were under contract and Samantha jumped to make this wedding exactly what we had wanted even down to offering the same meals our guest had picked to eat at our original venue. The staff was very professional and made all our guest feel comfortable. Sandy the chef created master pieces and everyone raved how wonderful all the food was from the appetizers, chicken piccata and filet minion to our late night eats. Samantha even offered her staff to help with us zooming our wedding to allow relatives not able to cross state boarders be a part of our day. We also did a brunch there the morning after the wedding and guest raved about the food, especially their famous bacon. I encourage every Bride and Groom to check out this venue if in the market for a great venue where everything will be taken care of down to the little details allowing you to enjoy your day! It is very important for my wife and I to provide timely feedback on the excellent experience we had with Stonewall this past weekend with our daughter’s wedding. With a 7/18/20 event scheduled with a different venue, we were informed 2 weeks prior that is was cancelled. Stonewall was the initial desired venue but the original guest list quantity had us go elsewhere. This was of course prior to the pandemic which reduced the quantity quite a bit. Upon receiving the call we immediately called Stonewall and within a day we were able to book and they were flexible to recreate the entire planned event schedule. The event was exceptional from the adherence to set schedule by Samantha (event coordinator who was wonderful the few day leading up to the event through the celebration), Greg (Manager) for ensuring adequate staffing with friendly and highly qualified staff and Sandy (Chef) in overlooking the preparation of all the appetizers and dinners that all in attendance raved about. My wife and I might be a little biased since we frequent this establishment frequently but the feedback from all those in attendance confirmed our experience. We would like to thank the entire staff for an outstanding event and would highly recommend others making plans for upcoming events to reach out to Stonewall see what they have to offer and sample something out of Sandy’s kitchen.

Samantha Bishop made me feel heard and wanted at that venue. She made me feel like I had the absolute control over what was gonna happen on my wedding day! I loved it, everyone loved it!

Stonewall golf is a great venue and has the perfect absolutely most stunning backdrop. Jeanna and Erin were so extremely helpful and more than accommodating. The food was a hit the guest were raving about the Crab Stuffed Flounder. During cocktail hour we had displayed and passed hors d ’Oeuvres that we the Newlyweds didn’t get any of because we were taking pictures but were told by guest that everything was delicious. I have nothing but great positive things to say about this venue and their professionalism and making my day perfect! Thank you Stonewall for making my dreams come true.

Jeanna and Erin plus all the kitchen/wait staff were terrific. The food was absolutely delicious. Fillet mignon and roasted chicken ---cooked perfectly. We received many compliments. At cocktail hour we had table displays and passed appetizers. Everyone enjoyed each option. Jeanna and Erin worked with me and my daughter and her fiancé to make sure everything was perfect fir their special day!

We didn't originally choose Stonewall as our wedding venue, but we ended up here after our first location (another golf club a few miles away) came under new management and decided to renovate. Needless to say, we were extremely frustrated and concerned, but Jeanna at Stonewall reached out to us and made the transition quick and easy. We wish we would have chosen Stonewall right off the bat!

Megan, who was our on-site coordinator, was very patient and responsive. Throughout the planning process, she had quick answers to all of the questions I bombarded her with :) During the wedding itself, she was on top of everything, from watching the weather, setting up the ceremony and reception exactly how we wanted it, bringing us a plate of appetizers since the groom and I missed cocktail hour, giving cues to the DJ, and making sure everything ran smoothly in general. She also helped organized and run our rehearsal and rehearsal dinner, including helping me up set up a slideshow I prepared and making sure we stayed on track schedule-wise.

The food here is delicious, and Stonewall is very accommodating to changes (we added a sauce that doesn't normally come on one of their dishes). We got several compliments on the entrees and apps.

I definitely recommend Stonewall to all NoVA/DC brides!

Jennifer was absolutely amazing during the whole wedding process. She promptly responded to every email I had. The wedding was gorgeous and the view was spectacular, everyone had a fantastic time. They took all of the stress out of planning the wedding....I would recommend this venue to anyone!

From the staff to the breath-taking setting of Stonewall Golf Club, we were absolutely ecstatic with our day! Jeanna Hilton, Jennifer Heflin, and the rest of the Stonewall Golf Club staff were such an incredible team to work with. They were attentive, responsive, professional, and also so much fun to work with from our initial meeting to the execution of our wedding ceremony and reception. One of our guests even commented that the venue, service, and food was 5-star. The staff's attention to detail is impressive, and they really make you feel like you are their only client with their responsiveness. We were also able to get exposure to other vendors such as our photographer, cake baker, and florist by attending different events at Stonewall. If you want an outdoor wedding in a space that feels intimate and welcoming, and you want a place that you can have to yourself and all of your guests, Stonewall Golf Club is the place for your wedding.

In one word- WOW! My husband and I had our wedding reception at Stonewall Golf Club and we couldn’t have been happier! It’s such a beautiful venue and more importantly, the customer service we received from all of the staff was second to none! Jeanna (sales manager) and Jennifer (catering manager) were both so sweet and so wonderful to work with throughout the entire process! They were extremely professional, organized, responsive, and were patient in answering all of my many questions along the way- not to mention, they were amazingly flexible and accommodating!
On the wedding day, Jennifer was so calm and absolutely on top of everything! Thanks to her, the entire reception flowed perfectly! I never had to ask where anything was or stress about the schedule because she had every detail covered! Before the reception, she set up all of our decorations (picture frames, drink signs, bathroom baskets, table numbers…. etc, etc….) which was such a HUGE help-- and I was so impressed with how nice she made everything look! When my husband and I arrived at the reception, she had drinks waiting for us (ahhh…. thanks Jennifer!) Like many brides and grooms, we spent most of the cocktail hour taking pictures—not only did Jennifer bring us drinks and hors d’oeuvres while we were getting our pictures taken, she also left a plate with a sampling of all of the hors d’oeuvres at our sweetheart table so we could actually enjoy all of the food we had chosen for the reception (oh, and a doggy bag to take home for late night munchies)! Speaking of hors d’oeuvres —our guests STILL rave about how delicious they all were! After all the toasts… special dances… and cake cutting were done, I was actually a little sad when it was time for Jennifer to leave—she played such an important part in making that day so special (and stress-free!) for my husband and me—and we are both so grateful to her for that!

Everything was incredible! Jeanna & Jennifer are amazing. They led our rehearsal when our officiant was an hour and a half late. Jeanna made everything run smoothly the day of the wedding. Everything was absolutely perfect. I don't know what we would have done without her. Stonewall is a beautiful venue and the food was fantastic. I have zero complaints!

I loved our reception at Stonewall Golf Club. The atmosphere was just what I wanted for my guests: semi-formal without being stuffy or tense. The magnolia room has large Arch windows expanding two of the four walls, which let in so much light and you could see the lake from the room and terrace. The wait staff were responsive and quick. The food was delicious and well taken care of. Jennifer did an amazing job organizing the flow and keeping the momentum going throughout the night, I don't know what I would have done without Jennifer, bridal coordinator. The led up to the wedding went very well. I enjoyed meeting with Jennifer and Jeanna to go over wedding details. They would spare me a moment whenever I was able to come by and respond to my email inquires by the next day. The week before Jennifer and I went over how I wanted the front table set up and I was able to drop off wedding favors and decorations. Everything was set-up like I asked, I was so impressed and happy. They even took the wrapper off the favors for me. So what I'm getting at is, It was what I wanted and needed for my wedding.

Where do I start? We just loved everything about the Stonewall. Our guests raved about everything the whole night! We had our ceremony and reception there and everything was flawless. The wedding coordinator, Jennifer, is so sweet and extremely easy to communicate with prior to the wedding, she answered all my questions immediately. The food is fantastic from the appetizers to the salad and main course. I felt like I was at a 5 star restaurant. The atmosphere is just perfect. The patio where the ceremony was held overlooks Lake Manassas which is gorgeous. It is the perfect size patio, it fit 135 guests just right. The lake and beautiful building and golf course all provide the perfect back drop for pictures. The Brass Cannon room has a big beautiful bar and has a very classy yet cozy feel. It's a perfect place for cocktail hour and then during the reception it is a great area for people who want to sit and talk away from the music. They have Guinness on tap which made my groom very happy! The reception room was exactly what I've always dreamed of, it was very elegant yet fun and lively with large windows, a good size dance floor and beautiful decorations. The service was top notch throughout the entire experience from the wedding coordinator (Jennifer) to the bartender and wait staff. We felt that we got exactly what we wanted and the price was not even all that high considering how all the other venues compared. The Stonewall gives you a lot of options so we were able to stay within our budget. I would definitely recommend them! We will remember that evening for the rest of our lives as being so wonderful thanks to the beautiful Stonewall and all their professional staff.

My husband and I really appreciate how well everything went for our wedding. Jennifer Mott and Jeanna Hilton were fantastic, and the venue was breath-taking. Before the ceremony, Jennifer and Jeanna let me come onsite with my photographer in order to plan wedding day logistics. Once you book with Stonewall, you are invited to a dinner tasting. It’s so much fun because you get to see the venue setup for an event.

We received rave reviews from our guests about how the food was the best they've had (Filet Mignon and Crab Cakes) and I keep getting asked for the types of champagne and wine served. Guests felt like they were given plenty of appetizers and that the logistics of the wedding went like a gentle breeze. If you choose Stonewall Golf Club, you get the beautiful view of Manassas Lake and two incredible wedding planners.

My ceremony and reception at Stonewall was amazing and I couldn't have asked for better. Stonewall is located in a beautiful area with a great backdrop for photos. In addition, the catering, service and value could not be beat. I have to say that the best part of the venue was the catering manager, Jennifer. She was AMAZING, and my wedding went off without a hitch because of her and her team. She was extremely responsive, so calm and reassuring, and very very nice. I was in constant contact with her and she was extremely professional and organized. We even had to decide last minute whether to hold our ceremony outside because of the weather, but she made us feel less panicked about our decision. She also kept things moving very smoothly during the entire wedding, and even got my husband and I a drink in the boardroom before introductions. She also took teh extra step of making sure that there was a plate of the food from the cocktail hour put aside for us, since we were out taking pictures and wouldn't otherwise have had a chance to taste that food. If I had to do things over again, I would not change a single thing. Jennifer made me feel confident that things would be wonderful, adn they were. All of our guests had an amazing time, and raved about the food, the beautiful decor, and how kind the staff were. Love Stonewall - highly recommend!! Thanks Jennifer for everything!

Jennifer and her team were amazing! During the whole process leading up to the wedding she was so responsive and such a big help! The cocktail hour, reception, service, food and decor was all FANTASTIC!! The location is absolutely beautiful and guests loved how they could go outside and enjoy the scenery. Stonewall was the perfect place for our wedding,thank you so much!!

I am so happy that we found this place for our wedding. We planned our wedding in less than 3 months and the customer service that Stonewall provided made this a stress-free experience. Jeanna and Jennifer were extremely responsive and helpful and always returned our e-mails/phone calls within the same day throughout the planning process. We were also on a very tight budget and Stonewall was the only venue out of all the venues we looked into who would work with us to accommodate our budget. We were able to have a beautiful wedding at a fraction of the cost that is typical of weddings these days. The food was excellent. Our guests RAVED about the filet mignon-many said it was the best steak they've ever tasted. Everyone at the venue provided the best service we could hope for throughout the entire duration of the event. The patio made for a lovely ceremony and there were many good photo ops outside. I could not have asked for a more perfect wedding day!

I did the planning for my daughter's recent wedding and was so happy to have found Stonewall. We were able to get the cocktail hour, the ballroom, the food, and complete set up all in one contract and working with one contact. Jennifer and Jeana were so helpful and flexible to make it possible for us to do everything exactly as we wanted it. Their advice was great. They were so sensitive to all our needs and had suggestions to coach us through every little issue. So many guests passed along their surprise at how smoothly everything flowed and how delicious the food was. The biggest rave was the hot hors d'oerves during cocktail hour, and the great view out the back wall of windows.

We were very happy with Stonewall. The venue is lovely. We got awesome photos at the lake. The food was really good. It didn't break our budget. And the staff were really great. I was happy throughout the entire process with everyone we worked with.

Jeanna and Jennifer were absolutely wonderful to work with!! They were so patient with me in answering my many many emails full of questions, and they were always so quick to respond. They were flexible with meal changes and dealing with allergies.

Jeanna was there on the day of my wedding, and she was amazing. She was so hands on and helpful! She made sure that my wedding followed the timeline and ran smoothly. When we were taking pictures she made sure to pull appetizer's for the groom and me and she also brought us a drink for our trip to the 15th hole. I forgot a sign that I wanted to use for pictures and without hesitation she ran inside and grabbed it for me. I had a lot of decorations with directions and Jeanna didn't bat at eye at all the instructions. She did a fabulous job when I walked into the ballroom it all look perfect. I couldn't have pulled it off with out her! Thank you so much!!

Like many brides, I was trying to be very cost effective and budget conscious when I was planning for the big day, but I still wanted a day to remember. Before visiting anywhere, I checked every local venue out online. I was amazed at how expensive places were and when I saw Stonewall online I assumed it would be out of my price range. However, I could not have been more pleasantly surprised. This location was probably one of the best decisions I made about the whole day.

Jeanna knows tons of other vendors so we were given a huge list of people to contact for music, flowers, cakes, etc. And, we didn't have to use any of those vendors if we didn't want to so we were able to pick and choose. Then, I received an email from Jennifer and we were able to go (my husband, his parents, my parents, and myself) to an open house where we saw the room all set up for a wedding, we got to taste a variety of apps and main courses, and we got to see floor plans and table settings. My husband, as a chef, was really concerned about the food and had tried a dish at the Brass Cannon Restaurant he loved. Even though it wasn't on the list of normal meals, Jeanna asked the chef and he agreed to make it for our wedding; the food was delicious. There was no guess work. Jennifer sent me multiple floor plans and helped me move things around before the actual day.

Plus, you have the added benefit of the outdoor patio area. Obviously that depends on weather, but we were so lucky and the weather our day was in the mid 80's and beautiful. I'd say about half our guests spent the majority out on the patio enjoying the company and relaxing. The other half got to stay inside and enjoy the dance floor. It was the perfect combo and there was something for everyone.

When my husband and I arrived that day, Jeanna took us into a side room, brought us a plate with an assortment of the apps, brought us both drinks, and we got to take a few minutes to just breathe. Then, she perfectly orchestrated our grand entrance and even brought us plates of food when dinner started with a little bit of everything. Talk about service! The venue is beautiful, the view of the lake and greens is breathtaking, and the service is unbeatable. Do yourself a favor and include this on your list of places to see.

Venue was the first of my decisions and once I saw the venue, I was hooked. The setting was beautiful and the food was delicious. We opted for the action stations for the food - we selected prime rib, mashed potato martini station and pasta station. My guests have not stopped talking about how wonderful the food was.

We did both the ceremony and reception there and it was absolutely perfect. Jennifer was a pleasure to work with and accommodated specific requests (Caesar salad for the groom, diet mountain dew for one of the guests, non-alcoholic beer for one of the guests).

I highly recommend this location - absolutely gorgeous setting and delicious food!

I have nothing bad to say about Stonewall. Jeanna was so helpful and made sure the entire process went smoothly. The atmosphere was perfect and the staff made sure all of my guests felt welcome. I would definitely recommend this venue to any bride!

The staff at Stonewall Golf Club was phenomenal during out wedding reception. They were incredibly flexible with our date having to be changed, drastic party size changes, and inclement weather on the day of. Jennifer and Jeanna are a great team and should be applauded for their professionalism and helpful, friendly demeanor. I would recommend this venue to any bride seeking a quality reception experience.

The team at Stonewall Golf Club (Jeanna, Audrey, Jen, Andrew, etc.) was absolutely amazing to work with as we planned our August wedding. They really helped me make my vision for the day come true, and were a pleasure to work with throughout the planning. On the day of the wedding, they did so many little (and big!) things to not only make the day beautiful for me, but they also focused on helping me really enjoy myself. Something as simple as bringing me my own private appetizers before I entered cocktail hour to make sure I had some and ate was something I truly appreciated Jeanna thinking of. The location is absolutely breathtaking, and the Magnolia Room is a fantastic venue for a wedding around 120 people, which is what we had. My fiance LOVED the beer selection (we did beer and wine only), and my guests are still telling me about how wonderful the service and views were. I couldn't be more pleased, and would recommend Stonewall to ANY future bride. Thank you Stonewall!!!!

I started out working with Karon Cannon & Jennifer (not sure of her last name), but they both left SGC prior to my wedding. After they left I was working with Jeanna Hilton & she & her staff were wonderful. She returned all my (million) emails promptly, was very patient when I was like an hour late dropping everything for the reception off on the day of the rehearsal, and she had the reception set up beautifully...just the way I envisioned it on the day of the wedding. The Food Mgr @ Stonewall was also very professional & helpful the night of the wedding...and the venue is GORGEOUS! Everything was perfect & just the way I wanted it...I would absolutely recommend SGC to anyone planning a wedding in the NOVA area!

One thing to mention, if you have drinkers @ ur wedding (& we def did)...just go for the open bar....we did a tab of $1500 & that was blown about 2 hours into our 4 hour reception (plus a 1 hour cocktail hour)...we ended up adding another $500 & honestly it was almost the same cost as doing the open bar plus once the bar shut down, everyone started leaving & we ended up having A LOT of cake left & had to end the reception an hour early...ppl who leave /c there are no more free drinks SUCK! Jeanna tried to change our minds to switch to open bar but we were tryna save $$. :o/

Stonewall has the atmosphere to make your guests oooh and aaah and the food to make their mouths water! As a wedding planner, I know that sometimes it is difficult to choose a location that is affordable. Budget was a large concern when my husband and I began planning our wedding. We wanted a beautiful location with a view in our price-point. We found both of those things - and more - with Stonewall Golf Club. All of our guests said that ours was the best wedding they had ever attended! The food was amazing and everyone couldn't stop talking about how great it tasted. Everyone was dancing and enjoying themselves until the final song - so much so that I had to ask them to leave because the event staff had to clean. My husband and I couldn't be happier with the way things turned out!!!

We were very happy with our choice to have our reception at Stonewall. The service was great. They were very flexible with arrangement, head count, set up...all the details. The food was also amazing. I got many compliments from our guests saying they had never had such a great filet mignon they could cut with a butter knife. Excellent!

I love Stonewall Golf Course! Karen Cannon who is the event planner there is super helpful as well as her assistant Jennifer. They were both very knowledgable about what to do and what not to do with the reception.

Stonewall Golf Club is amazing for many reasons. There scenery and back drop over the water on the 18th hole of the golf course and outside patio made it an excellent setting for our outdoor wedding. We had our reception at the same site and was beyone impressed by Karon and Jennifer and their courteous and helpfulness throughout the entire process. We did a lot of items ourselves, favors, flowers, programs, etc. and when we walked in the day of the wedding we were both just in awe it looked beautiful. The day of the wedding Karon and Jennifer were so helpful with getting ready, making sure that everything was perfect and just being there the whole time. Stonewall Golf Club is an amazing setting for a wedding with wonderful professional people to helop. They even provided lists of vendors and recommended the DJ who was great as well. Thank You Stonewall for a perfect wedding day. :)

This was the best decision we made! Karon was absolutely wonderful to work with! She had a great team together on the day of to help everything run smoothly. She worked well with all of our vendors and made me feel so relaxed! She provided anything and everything we needed, when we needed it. She held a wonderful rehearsal the night before keeping everyone in line and on their toes. The food was excellent and the price was right. The weather was beautiful and the staff was incredibly friendly.

We found out our original reception venue was under massive emergency construction 6 weeks before our wedding. Stonewall not only had availability for us at the last minute, but they gave us discounts and treated us like royalty. The head of sales there, Karon Cannon, is a sweetheart and a true professional. Everyone raved about our beautiful and elegant reception...I'd recommend it to anyone.

I was blown away by the quality of service that Stonewall provided for our wedding reception. Karon was absolutely amazing and did everything she could to ensure that the reception went smoothly. I had a lot of last minute changes to the guest list the week of the wedding and Karon was more than happy to accomodate these changes as best as she could. On the day of the wedding, the reception site was decorated exactly as I had hoped and the reception went flawlessly. Everything was on time and the staff was very professional. The food was delicious and I received numerous compliments! Also, Karon was able to obtain a chocolate fountain for us at a reasonable price. I simply cannot rave about Stonewall enough and I highly recommend them!

I am so glad that we used the venue. We were 100% pleased with the service and professionalism that was provided. I would recommend this venue to all of my friends.

I would recommend anyone to have their wedding at Stonewall Golf Club.. the place was absolutely beautiful and the folks there (Jeanna and Jennifer) were absolutely amazing to work with. They definitely know how to work with a bride that has a million and one questions like myself! Everything was pulled off just the way I imagined it. I live about 2 and a half hours away from Stonewall so most of the prep work was done via email - they took the time to send me very quick responses and/or templates, pictures, etc to make sure I had all the information I needed to make decisions. The only negative thing i could say about Stonewall (and for a wedding day where soo many things could go wrong, this is very minimal) was that they stayed until we cut the cake - but I had to find someone in the Kitchen to actually do the cutting of the cake. Other than that, everything went off without a hitch! It was such a great day and they made it very memorable indeed. I love all my pictures from Stonewall :) Very impressed by Stonewall and would absolutely recommend to a friend!

Stonewall was the first venue out of many we looked at and every venue we went to we compared it to Stonewall. Jeanna Hilton and Jen Mott were great. They were very easy to contact, I would email them and I'd get an immediate response. They worked within our budget and gave us the wedding of our dreams. The setting is absolutely beautiful and we had a gorgeous ceremony on their patio. We got to have pictures on the 15th hole also. All of our guest raved about how great all the food was (appetizers and main course). The best decision we made was renting out the Brass Cannon also. We wanted a back up plan for our outdoor ceremony but we also wanted a separate room for our cocktail hour and neither one of us is a fan of the "bar in the corner" and we wanted the nice wood bar. It was well worth the extra cost and we'd recommend that to anyone. We also want to thank Jen for rushing around the last hour before our ceremony...rain came through and we weren't sure if it was going to actually happen outside but it did and Jen and her crew came through, got everything dry and we had an absolutely beautiful outdoor ceremony. Also, since we were taking pictures during cocktail hour they provided plates of all our appetizers. We would highly recommend Stonewall.

This review is long overdue. My husband and I got married at Stonewall September 2009 and it was truly a perfect venue for us. We had a relatively small wedding of around 90 guests and I think Stonewall is ideal for that size wedding. We were also blessed with a beautiful weather so we fully ultilized the outside terrace for the ceremony and cocktail hour. I do agree with another reviewer in that, if it rains, your only option is to have the ceremony/cocktail hour/reception in the Magnolia room. I also agree that the cost to rent the Brass Cannon room for cocktail hour was steep however it is understandable since you are asking them to close the restaurant. The only work around is to have your ceremony early in the day, then I believe you can use the Brass Cannon at no cost.

Aside from the beautiful venue, the staff is the true reason I rated Stonewall so high. Jeanna, Katy and Andrew definitely understand the craziness that is associated with wedding planning and execution. Jeanna and Katy were very responsive and flexible to my personal requests. Andrew was there to help execute the schedule and made sure everything happened as planned and on time. He was a huge help! I would highly recommend Stonewall if you want beautiful scenary and great service.

Stonewall was great to work with. We had the ballroom and the Brass cannon restaurant, and it was great. We were married on the terrace which was beautiful. I worked mostly with Katy, who was fantastic to work with. She answered all of my questions, and even worked things out with my DJ for me when we started having issues.

We really enjoyed working with Stonewall. Both of their event coordinators, Karon and Jennifer, were very helpful. They knew what needed to be done, and when and how. They really helped make our big day run as smoothly as possible.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Stonewall Golf Club, Samantha Bishop, and the staff! The venue was perfect for our wedding - the reception room and views are gorgeous!  Sam was extremely helpful with our budget as well as meeting our requests.  This included having our pup in the ceremony and helping me pull off a surprise for my husband!  The food was delicious and guests agreed!  I highly recommend Stonewall!

I thought the venue was beautiful! I especially liked taking photos out at the 15h hole. Everyone was very responsive and friendly. They only lose points on food. We do not consider ourselves foodies, but my husband thought his steak was overcooked and hard to cut. The asparagus was a little overcooked as well. However, the appetizers were pretty good as well as my chicken entrée. Everything ran smoothly without a hitch and I highly recommend this venue for the location and service.

Our wedding turned out perfect. The venue was beautiful. The outside ceremony in the fall was breathtaking. We would highly recommend using Stonewall for you wedding. Jeanna and Jennifer were very helpful and responsive both leading up to the wedding and on the actual day. The food was great, much better for the reception than the actual tasting. Our guests were very happy with everything. The grounds made for some great wedding pictures as well. The only suggestion I will make is to discuss the rain backup plan in detail before hand. We did not want to rent the Brass Canon in the event of rain for our ceremony so in the event of rain we would have been getting married inside the ballroom. What we didn't know until a few weeks before was that most of our guests would have to watch the ceremony from their tables instead of in chairs like the outside ceremony. Luckily the weather couldn't have been better. Everything else was great!

Stonewall was an amazing place to have my wedding and reception. I got many compliments about the both the location and the food, especially the fillet! Jeanna was amazing in answering my many questions, I usually got a response within a couple hours. There was a miscommunication with what time I was getting there, so just make sure everything is clear up front. The I would definitely recommend Stonewall to anyone looking for a venue!

Karen and Jennifer were magnificent. They explained every detail, responded to questions quickly, made adjustments as asked (and we made several changes along the way!), and served as "wedding guides" during the ceremony to que the wedding party.

Our wedding ceremony and reception were held at Stonewall and everything was perfect - my family are still talking about my storybook wedding. Karon Cannon was amazing and so helpful. I was ready to decorate the reception room for the wedding day and Karon did not let me lift a finger. She told me not to worry about it and she did everything - I was so pleased! The food was amazing - I received so many compliments about the venue and the food. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. The venue is beautiful - both indoors and outdoors. We were very lucky to have found the Stonewall Golf Club!!

Bethany and her team delivered on every aspect of what was promised to us on our wedding day. Having an inclusive venue was important to us and Bethany took care of everything, including packing up our personal décor at the end of the night! The weather gave us a bit of a fright but Bethany made sure I had plenty of options without feeling pressured. The outdoor covered porch is a great intimate setting for a ceremony and the tasteful décor in the ballroom coupled with the gorgeous views made for wonderful pictures and a fantastic time had by all. If things went wrong I was completely unaware as she coordinated all facets of our vendors the day of. The chicken marsala was the star of the dinner, but everyone enjoyed their meals and appetizers thoroughly and the staff made sure my wine glass was never empty.

I really appreciated how she had my budget in mind and how her recommendations saved me hundreds of dollars in the long run while never making me compromise my dream wedding.
It is hard to find wedding vendors like that these days.
The food was amazing, large portions cooked fresh, nothing tasted as if it was sitting around.

We got engaged over the holidays in 2023 and I wanted a fall 2024 wedding date ...impossible it may have seemed until I found Stonewall Golf Club. They had availability but I also did not feel like I was sacrificing any of the other things we wanted in a venue for that availability.

Stonewall has a gorgeous ceremony view over the lake and grounds. They have a covered terrace so there is no need to stress over a rain plan. They had a ballroom big enough for a 150 seated dinner. The staff were well versed, professional and efficient. The food was excellent...one of the best I've ever experienced for wedding food. They were flexible allowing the bridal suite to open as early as 9AM. We were so pleased with the venue!

The on-site coordination that was included in the rental was such a stress relief. Bethany was my POC and day-of coordinator. She answered so many questions quickly and professionally over email for months during the planning process. She helped us at the tasting, rehearsal and made sure the wedding went off without a hitch.

We highly recommend Stonewall and are excited by the idea that for all our anniversaries to come we can revisit the venue by dinning at the Brass Cannon Restaurant on-site. It'll be our new tradition!

My husband and I were married on the terrace and had our reception in the ballroom. Leading up to the event, we worked closely with Gina and Audrey, both of whom were very helpful and flexible about our needs. It is a beautiful location and the event went smoothly.
My only concern is about the wait staff. When we went to cut the cake, I looked around the ballroom and literally not a single member of the wait staff was there to assist us with plates, forks, or the actual cutting of the cake after my husband and I cut it for pictures. I felt very embarrassed and unprepared, as we stupidly sat there waiting for someone to help us. The bar tender, who was next to the cake table, was actually the only one who assisted us after my mom had to ask him for plates and forks. It was pretty embarrassing and I wish that one of the wedding coordinators had spoken to me more about the details of that part of the reception, or at least the wait staff had been more prepared. Other than that, everything went smoothly and we had a nice time.
Also, I would recommend doing the buffet option. The food stayed hot, and it was everything we wanted for our dinner. The food tasting good was important to us, and we got what we wanted with the catering services here.

This was a great setting for a wedding - the grounds and views for pictures were great. The indoor/outdoor ability for guests added a nice touch. The service was great and very accommodating. I was very pleased with this venue - not the traditional hotel reception!

Our wedding turned out beautiful, but not without quite a few "bumps in the road" with our venue... In the year that we were planning and working with Stonewall, they had three different people as the main POC for us. The last one was let go the Monday before our Saturday wedding. As a bride, this made me incredibly nervous. I had been over all of the details with Brandon and we were "good to go". Now, I had to go over everything all over again with someone else whom, come to find out, would not even be there on the day of our wedding. Whew! What a mess! The staff that was there on our wedding day were amazing and were more than accommodating. Just keep great notes for yourself and make sure you're super organized and you'll be fine. Depending on who you work with, you may need to "hunt them down" for email/phone replies at times.

The Stonewall was a beautiful location for my wedding reception. There really isn't a separate place for the cocktail hour, unless you want to rent out the restaurant next to the ballroom ...which in my opinion isn't worth the thousands of dollars they wanted for it. Fortunately the weather was nice the day of my wedding and we were able to have the cocktail hour on the terrace. The food was excellent!

Loved the food at this place so that's why we picked it. One concern that we had was making sure the quantity was there for 100 attendees, unfortunately our fears were validated when we saw people standing in line and the food was nowhere near ready to come out. Some tables had bread, others didn't. Seemed kind of all over the place with the amount of food prepared. Additional food was prepared after realizing there wasn't enough prepared initially, despite having the exact number of guests provided well in advance. The bartenders were great, very accommodating! Our coordinator, Megan, left around 7:30 (wedding ended at 10:30pm) without notice, we didn't see her for the rest of the night and were left with running our own event, I.e. Cake cutting, proper table clearing (cake was taken before guests even had a chance to take a bite), etc. we also provided the kitchen with boxes of international candy to display, long story short we think the kitchen had sticky fingers as we had some displayed, the rest went missing. Basically, I wouldn't recommend this place if food is important to you and your guests. And if you do go with the place, be sure to hire your own coordinator (add that to the budget) because ours that was provided by Stonewall, bailed on us halfway though our event. We did provide this feedback to Jeanna, she offered to treat us to dinner but we didn't take her up on it since that really didn't fix any of the damage.
