Our hunt for a photographer for our wedding was a challenge. Not only did we begin our search at the 11th hour but we couldn't find someone whose style met ours, until we discovered Steven's website. After reviewing his portfolio we knew we had found the right artist! The experience of booking our event went remarkably smoothly. I cannot say enough great things about Steven Fairfield Photography. We choose a package to do our engagement/wedding photos and after the engagement pictures we were pleased, but then we got our wedding photos back, WOW! Steve has an incredible talent and captures the moments that most photographers overlook. He is not one for a ton of posed photos but rather likes to capture the emotions and joy in the most unexpected candid pics. My husband and I are not really in the spotlight kind of people, but Steve made us feel so comfortable and was directive when we needed it. His turnaround time was great as well! He is good about posting one or two pics on Facebook directly following the wedding and then about a week later we had some sneak peek photos before our full collection was complete. Soon after we got to view our full collection on his website (where you can also order prints) and then he sent a flash drive with all of the high-res pictures. This allows us to print through anyone we please, which was awesome! His photography is definitely worth every penny, and we highly recommend!

Steve Fairfield has a very unique ability and talent to capture the genuine, truly special moments of any event. He proved this as the photographer of our wedding and was extremely accommodating and self-sufficient, allowing me and my husband to focus on the wedding with the confidence that we would be able to relive it through his amazing photographs afterward. Steve is very professional and takes the time to understand what you are looking for as a couple. As someone who doesn't love being photographed, I felt extremely comfortable and at ease with Steve, and was amazed by his creative eye when we received our photos. Lastly, Steve has mastered photographing in a way that eliminates cliche and predictable poses, and forced portrait shots, keeping them classy and never cheesy (amen!). We have continued to use Steve as our photographer for events since our wedding, because we know we will always receive the best product from him. I looked at so many different photographers, but as soon as I saw Steve's work I knew he'd be perfect for our wedding. From the day we booked him to the day of the wedding he was a complete joy to work with. Long before Kim and I got engaged we knew that when we finally got married we wanted Steve to capture it for us. As the owner of a local entertainment company we've had the unique opportunity to work alongside Steve on a number of occasions. Over the years Kim and I have followed his work and we've always been blown away by the images he's able to capture. Steve's ability to adapt to the lighting environment he's working in has always stood out to me. But, above that I've always been amazed at Steve's ability to capture candid moments in their sincerest fashion.

So, when it came time for our wedding we knew without a doubt that Steve was going to knock it out of the park. And, he did. We met with Steve during the planning process to discuss the photos we wanted and the locations we'd use to capture them. Steve listened to our ideas, offered input of his own and together we came up with an itinerary that flowed seamlessly. The day of our wedding Steve was attentive and always working hard to capture every detail. There is an art to the work Steve does yet he pulls it off effortlessly. My favorite part of looking at our photos after the wedding was how many times we said 'we didn't even know Steve was there for that.' Steve really does allow you to go about your day in a natural way. I think most people fear having a camera in their face for an entire day. We never felt that way with Steve.

Based on all the photos we've seen through the years working with Steve, Kim and I had really high expectations. Not only did Steve meet our expectations but he far exceeded them. We now have stunning photos to share with our family and friends and we'll always have the ability to re-live our wedding day because of the work Steve's did. Kim and I can't thank you enough. I interviewed several photographers over the phone, as I was planning long distance for our wedding in Maine in August (we live in New York City). After corresponding with Steven and looking through his portfolio, we met with him in person a few months before the wedding and could not have been happier that we had him as our photographer.

His photos turned out beautifully, he was quick to respond to any questions I had, his personality was very laid back but professional and he made everyone feel at ease. We felt like he was a true part of our wedding, we had so much fun having the experience of having him there, it is a great part of our memory of the day!
