  Outstanding!

  Our hunt for a photographer for our wedding was a challenge. Not only did we begin our search at the 11th hour but we couldn't find someone whose style met ours, until we discovered Steven's website. After reviewing his portfolio we knew we had found the right artist! The experience of booking our event went remarkably smoothly. Steven captured so many treasured images of our wedding day - candids that will forever make us smile, portraits to be passed down as heirlooms and sweet moments we can't believe he was able to capture. We can't recommend Steven Fairfield enough!

  I cannot say enough good things about Steve and our experience with him as our photographer. He was a perfect professional from the very beginning, actually calling me in response to my inquiry vs. emailing me back as so many other photographers did. Steve made a point to really get to know us as a couple and individuals, which helped make working with him so effortless. My husband was not looking forward to the photo aspect of our wedding day, but was in awe of how easy Steve made it for both of us and how much fun we all had together. Steve captured each and every detail, moment and feeling of our day. The quality of the photos far exceeded our expectations and I could not be happier with our decision.   I cannot say enough great things about Steven Fairfield Photography. We choose a package to do our engagement/wedding photos and after the engagement pictures we were pleased, but then we got our wedding photos back, WOW! Steve has an incredible talent and captures the moments that most photographers overlook. He is not one for a ton of posed photos but rather likes to capture the emotions and joy in the most unexpected candid pics. My husband and I are not really in the spotlight kind of people, but Steve made us feel so comfortable and was directive when we needed it. His turnaround time was great as well! He is good about posting one or two pics on Facebook directly following the wedding and then about a week later we had some sneak peek photos before our full collection was complete. Soon after we got to view our full collection on his website (where you can also order prints) and then he sent a flash drive with all of the high-res pictures. This allows us to print through anyone we please, which was awesome! His photography is definitely worth every penny, and we highly recommend!

  I looked at so many different photographers, but as soon as I saw Steve's work I knew he'd be perfect for our wedding. From the day we booked him to the day of the wedding he was a complete joy to work with. He knew our venue well (Inn on Peaks Island) and worked with the other vendors seamlessly which made planning the day so much easier.   Steven Fairfield Photography is an excellent choice for your wedding! He is friendly, attentive, professional and his photo quality is outstanding! My groom and I are so pleased with his work, both for our engagement session and our wedding. The photos are incredible and he is a nice person too! Very easy to work with. I am SO glad we choose Steve. He is worth it!

  Long before Kim and I got engaged we knew that when we finally got married we wanted Steve to capture it for us. As the owner of a local entertainment company we've had the unique opportunity to work alongside Steve on a number of occasions. Over the years Kim and I have followed his work and we've always been blown away by the images he's able to capture. Steve's ability to adapt to the lighting environment he's working in has always stood out to me. But, above that I've always been amazed at Steve's ability to capture candid moments in their sincerest fashion.
  
  So, when it came time for our wedding we knew without a doubt that Steve was going to knock it out of the park. And, he did. We met with Steve during the planning process to discuss the photos we wanted and the locations we'd use to capture them. Steve listened to our ideas, offered input of his own and together we came up with an itinerary that flowed seamlessly. The day of our wedding Steve was attentive and always working hard to capture every detail. There is an art to the work Steve does yet he pulls it off effortlessly. My favorite part of looking at our photos after the wedding was how many times we said 'we didn't even know Steve was there for that.' Steve really does allow you to go about your day in a natural way. I think most people fear having a camera in their face for an entire day. We never felt that way with Steve.
  
  Based on all the photos we've seen through the years working with Steve, Kim and I had really high expectations. Not only did Steve meet our expectations but he far exceeded them. We now have stunning photos to share with our family and friends and we'll always have the ability to re-live our wedding day because of the work Steve's did. Kim and I can't thank you enough. We couldn't be happier with the quality of our images, the photos you took and the way you captured our day for us. Thank you, Steve!

He proved this as the photographer of our wedding and was extremely accommodating and self-sufficient, allowing me and my husband to focus on the wedding with the confidence that we would be able to relive it through his amazing photographs afterward. Steve is very professional and takes the time to understand what you are looking for as a couple. As someone who doesn't love being photographed, I felt extremely comfortable and at ease with Steve, and was amazed by his creative eye when we received our photos.   Finding an amazing wedding photographer was one of my highest priorities in the planning process. I must have contacted and researched dozens of photographers and was about to book with one when I fell upon Steve’s work. I was immediately drawn into his photographs because they told a story and showed so much emotion. When Steve and I corresponded throughout the year of planning he was always quick to respond to any questions I had. We met Steve the day of our engagement shoot and my husband and I were both completely blown away with the experience. He was open to our ideas, but also guided us when we saw a great photo opportunity. Steve is very professional, experienced and an easy going guy that gets the job done, and done really well. After seeing our engagement photos we had no doubt our wedding photos would be amazing…and they are. He managed to be invisible throughout the entire wedding day but somehow capture so many wonderful moments. We also booked his photo booth at the last minute and I’m so happy we did. For our guest, it was one of the biggest highlights of the evening, and the photo booth pictures are priceless; aunts and uncles wearing crazy hats and glasses, posing with friends from college and high school. It’s hilarious and I’m so happy we added it to our reception. Of all the photographers I researched, I’m so happy we chose Steve. His beautiful work is something we’ll look back on for years to come.

Steve, is very professional with years of experience photographing weddings. He is always quick to respond to any questions and very welcoming of new ideas. He captured so many beautiful moments on our wedding day in Bar Harbor. I have had many friends and family comment to me regarding the amazing shots that Steve captured. He is an absolute delight to work with and it is without hesitation that I highly recommend Steve for any photo session.

He was incredibly responsive from our first outreach, and made us feel comfortable hiring him sight unseen. We loved his approachable, relaxed, comfortable style mixed with utmost professionalism. We selected a package that also included engagement photos so that we could meet him prior to the wedding day. We met at the beach for those and had a wonderful time - for two people who don't spend much time in front of the camera, he made us feel so relaxed and we had such a great time. Those photos turned out great - a perfect reflection of our relationship and our love for nature and the outdoors. Leading up to our wedding weekend, Steve was helpful in helping us figure out which "must have" shots we wanted to capture and how to organize the timing of our day, giving us great guidance. The day of the wedding, he captured every shot that we had hoped for, really capturing the ambiance of the day and the trees and water landscape that we loved at the venue.   Loved most of the pictures. Wish we were given more direction when pictures were being taken. Wish we were all more organized so we would of had more time for the pictures. Would of liked the photographer to see the site prior to the wedding.
