Having worked with Amy once before for a large non-profit fundraising event (600+ people), I knew that she was a skilled photographer, with an amazing eye, that was able to find those essential shots despite a lot of chaos. So when our wedding planning began, we considered a number of top notch people in Southern Maine, but settled decisively on Amy.

Amy's work is most definitely THE BEST of the top tier of wedding and event photographers. She captured the joy and the love of our day and of our ceremony. She worked with us to develop a schedule exactly as we asked and made sure that we got it all in. She did it with humility, grace and humor.

Every shot in our portfolio was amazing. Despite a rainy day, and a ceremony moved inside, she was able to make every shot as bright and beautiful as we remember, despite challenging light conditions. Not only did she document what we experienced of the day, but also a lot of amazing details and fun, that we otherwise would have missed.

Amy was referred to us by ESTOccasions/ Engaged CT, a local wedding planning service. I had explained to our planner that I wanted to invest in high quality photos that captured the casual attitude we hoped to achieve at our wedding. To fully explore our options, I do admit that we interviewed two or three other photographers that fit this profile as well. Though her photography skills clearly speak for themselves, when my husband and I spoke with Amy, we immediately felt comfortable with her and knew that she understood our expectations and even our wants. She is lighthearted, funny, professional, did I say funny?, and intuitively understood what we were hoping to accomplish via the engagement session and wedding. She effortlessly guided us through photo sessions – in one case, it was poor weather (that actually worked out in the pictures), and in the other it was unforeseen circumstances the day of our wedding. She is a true professional who handled these developments with ease, and through this process made sure that myself/ the husband/ the photographed guest at hand was comfortable and satisfied. She definitely has an eye for the little details and remained conscious of our list of “wants” throughout the day/ evening. She also rolled with the punches and even found ways to memorialize them.

We will not hesitate to contact Amy for future photography sessions – as a matter of fact, you can bet that we will. Though she is from Maine (technically not “local” as our wedding was in CT), I don’t believe we would have had as much fun or have been as satisfied had we been with anyone else. Amy is incredible to work with. She photographed a fashion shoot for me three times now and every one was fabulous. Each time she asked what I was trying to achieve, listened to everything and captured it perfectly in images. She was also was amazing at helping the models (who were not professionals) relax, focus and deliver!

I have nothing but praise for Amy. We were planning a wedding from far away, and as I was calling various photographers to set up meetings, I had a feeling Amy would be our choice from the very beginning. She is attentive, personable, professional, and an all around amazing photographer. We had so many amazing photos. Our guests were raving about Amy, and even almost a year after the wedding, my mom has friends ask to see the photos to get ideas for their own relatives weddings. I love that she sends all the photos on a thumb drive. There's no way I would have been able to select photos for a professional album. There were just too many amazing ones. I made my own album, and had to add a whole bunch of extra pages. We liked Amy and our videographer (Josh Swan of Media Northeast) so much that at the end of the night, my bridesmaid borrowed Amy's camera to take a photo of us with Amy and Josh. That photo is now in our wedding album. If she's available on your wedding day, pick Amy. You won't regret it.

Amy Salerno is an amazing photographer!!! As two photographers ourselves, hiring a good photographer to document our special day was extremely important to us. We looked at almost 10 photographers and their portfolios before choosing Amy for our intimate, family inspired, garden wedding in Windsor, Maine. We are so glad we did! Amy was extremely professional and personable. We talked on the phone about how our day was going to be planned out and what sort of pictures we wanted. She memorized everyone in our family and made sure we got all of the shots we asked for and more. It was cloudy for most of the day and it actually rained during the ceremony, but all of the pictures turned out beautifully! Amy took amazing photos and captured every aspect and detail of our special day. Many brides don't understand that a true talented photographer posesses an artistic eye and the ability to manipulate the camera to get that pefect shot.....and Amy has that! They also don't know the importance of being a good editor and what a litte editing will do to a photograph. Amy is a fantastic editor! In the 700+ pictures she took, I can't say that I have a favorite. I love all of them! I would highly recommend Amy Salerno to any bride!!!

One of the factors that determined my wedding date, was Amy's availability. I got engaged and called her the next day to find out when she was already booked so I would know which dates were not worth considering. Everyone at my wedding complimented me on my photographer because she was nice, friendly, and she clearly loves what she does. She was amazing at dealing with my aversion to being photographed and I loved the pictures that she took. She made me, the most unphotogenic person ever, look great. She got all the shots that I wanted and a million more. I recommend her to everyone I know who is getting married and they all thank me for recommending her.

Amy is really easy to work with, she was responsive and attentive, but also not too overwhelming - she was such a pleasure! The photos were amazing too :-)
