I spoke with Monica multiple times over the phone and after each conversation I felt more at ease with my wedding planning process, she helped me with creating a timeline, discussed different styles of music, and was even there for moral support when I thought about postponing due to COVID19. We had an absolutely amazing experience with our DJ! From start to finish, everything was smooth and stress-free. They played all the music we wanted and kept the energy up all night—our guests had a blast!

Jorge from Sound Event DJs played at 2 of our son's weddings…our eldest in 2007 and our youngest in 2020. Both times he was the energy of the celebrations and the perfect MC… making all the introductions and announcements…keeping the flow and order of events, and most importantly, getting everyone on the dance floor. So for my husband's 70th birthday party, just days before Christmas, it was a “no brainer” to hire Sound Events DJs. I was thrilled that Jorge made himself available to play for us during this busy season.

What a party it was!! Now a week later and our guests are still talking about Jorge and the great music. Although we had chosen the songs to play on Sound Event DJs easy planning website, only a good DJ knows which ones to actually play and when to play them. Jorge read the crowd really well, and interacted with them. He understood their culture (mainly Caribbean), and knew the timing...when to play the fast songs and slow ones, and when to mix them up to keep everyone on the dance floor. He also made sure he played songs which brought back a lot of memories for us. Kids, young people, old, and single filled the dance floor for every song throughout the night. It was never empty, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

However, Sound Events DJs success, is also attributed to Monica, Jorge's wife and assistant. Monica was always available for questions about the planning website, and spoke to us at length about the time-line of the party. Then Jorge called to confirm and make sure that he totally understood what we wanted. Together they make a dynamic team…ensuring the event runs smoothly, and taking the pressure off of you. Monica and Jorge are the best! They are super friendly, professional and great at what they do! My husband and I got married on May 3, 2024 and selected the package that included the DJ, violinist for the beach ceremony, photo-booth and up-lighting for the dance floor. The lights looked awesome, the photo-booth was a big hit and the music was perfect. The violinist was extremely talented and such a special touch for the ceremony. Hearing the song I selected for my walk down the aisle being played live with a violin was such a beautiful, emotional experience. Jorge really kept the party going the whole night during the reception! He played all of the songs that we requested and really brought the positive energy to the dance floor. We hired Sound Event DJs for our entire wedding day. Our wedding DJ was Rudy and ceremony violinist was Emin. Emin played beautifully, giving the ceremony a romantic vibe that will never be forgotten. Rudy kept guests on the dance floor the entire night and everyone had a blast.
