Top Notch!

There are no amount of thank you’s I can give to Monica & Jorge. Planning a wedding in general is hard, planning a wedding during a pandemic sometimes felt impossible. From the very beginning Monica & Jorge were so responsive and answered all of my questions right away, they helped me find a package that worked best with our style of music, our guests, and most importantly our budget. I spoke with Monica multiple times over the phone and after each conversation I felt more at ease with my wedding planning process, she helped me with creating a timeline, discussed different styles of music, and was even there for moral support when I thought about postponing due to COVID19. Jorge was able to create a song bite for our surprise father/daughter dance that was an absolute hit. On the day of, Jorge knew our crowd, he could feel the vibe and instantly played music that got people up out of their chairs and dancing. So many guests told me how fun our reception and how great the music was. If your looking for a reliable, professional, efficient team of DJs..Sound Event DJs is the best choice. Monica and Jorge were AMAZING! Very easy to work with, very kind and we had the best party! Everyone loved the DJ! They also provided lighting and truly set the tone for an amazing party! They even helped us hang up our neon sign for the night of! Definitely recommend this amazing team!

Amazing !!!

We had an absolutely amazing experience with our DJ! From start to finish, everything was smooth and stress-free. They played all the music we wanted and kept the energy up all night—our guests had a blast!
We also ordered the Photo Booth, which was a huge hit. Everyone loved it, and we got the USB with all the photos that same night, which was such a nice surprise. Everything was super well-organized and seamless.

Overall, it was a fantastic time, and we couldn't be happier. Highly recommend!

Jorge and Monica from Sound Event DJs were absolutely incredible to work with! From our first interaction, Monica was super responsive, kind, and on top of every detail. They have a very cool and easy-to-use system where you can fill in all your music preferences, event timeline, and announcements — it made the planning process so smooth and stress-free.

On the day of the event, everything went perfectly. The music was spot-on from start to finish, the energy on the dance floor was amazing, and the transitions were flawless. Jorge did a fantastic job keeping the vibe just right without being over the top, and our guests had an unforgettable time.

Life of Our Party!!

Jorge from Sound Event DJs played at 2 of our son's weddings…our eldest in 2007 and our youngest in 2020. Both times he was the energy of the celebrations and the perfect MC… making all the introductions and announcements…keeping the flow and order of events, and most importantly, getting everyone on the dance floor. So for my husband's 70th birthday party, just days before Christmas, it was a “no brainer” to hire Sound Events DJs. I was thrilled that Jorge made himself available to play for us during this busy season.

What a party it was!! Now a week later and our guests are still talking about Jorge and the great music. Although we had chosen the songs to play on Sound Event DJs easy planning website, only a good DJ knows which ones to actually play and when to play them. Jorge read the crowd really well, and interacted with them. He understood their culture (mainly Caribbean), and knew the timing...when to play the fast songs and slow ones, and when to mix them up to keep everyone on the dance floor. He also made sure he played songs which brought back a lot of memories for us. Kids, young people, old, and single filled the dance floor for every song throughout the night. It was never empty, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

However, Sound Events DJs success, is also attributed to Monica, Jorge's wife and assistant. Monica was always available for questions about the planning website, and spoke to us at length about the time-line of the party. Then Jorge called to confirm and make sure that he totally understood what we wanted. Together they make a dynamic team…ensuring the event runs smoothly, and taking the pressure off of you. This is what you want on your big day!

We can honestly say that Jorge and Sound Event DJ's were the "Life of Our Party"!! My husband’s 70th Birthday would not have been the hit it was without them.

The Best DJ Team!

Monica and Jorge are the best! They are super friendly, professional and great at what they do! My husband and I got married on May 3, 2024 and selected the package that included the DJ, violinist for the beach ceremony, photo-booth and up-lighting for the dance floor. The lights looked awesome, the photo-booth was a big hit and the music was perfect. The violinist was extremely talented and such a special touch for the ceremony. Hearing the song I selected for my walk down the aisle being played live with a violin was such a beautiful, emotional experience. Jorge really kept the party going the whole night during the reception! He played all of the songs that we requested and really brought the positive energy to the dance floor. I cannot sing their praises enough! I 100% recommend them for any one who needs a DJ for their event! Thank you, Sound Event DJs for a perfect night!

We hired Sound Event DJs for our entire wedding day. Our wedding DJ was Rudy and ceremony violinist was Emin. Emin played beautifully, giving the ceremony a romantic vibe that will never be forgotten. Rudy kept guests on the dance floor the entire night and everyone had a blast.

Made my crazy idea into reality.

Sound Event DJs were not only extremely easy to work with, they also had a ready solution for anything I presented to them. One of our desires was to have our wedding party enter the reception to a snippet of a song that reminded us of them, and with a wedding party of around fourteen people, and a playlist of increasingly random songs, they took my idea and created a moment that our guests raved about. They took our genre requests and song choices and really brought together a set of music that was uniquely our flavor and oh so fitting. A tremendously pleasant working experience and results that speak for themselves.

More than a DJ

My experience was great. Monica & Jorge were true professionals and accommodated me. Also, they are extremely reasonably priced!

They are very detailed in terms of music you want; and since my requests were very specific, they accommodated me in letting me use a google sheet that I created with all of my details for all the music to be played at my wedding. The best part is that I wanted a mashup/(blend) of two songs (You are all I need - Marvin & Method versions) for my ceremony exit and they were able to do that. It was fantastic.

Whatever you are into, whatever music/genre you want played, mixed or whatever, they can do it ( I had about 4 or more genres). I was worried about transitions and they nailed it.

And to make my event extra special, Monica gifted me with uplighting!! It MADE A HUGE DIFFERENCE and it was noticeable!

And Monica does so much outside of assisting her husband. She counseled me throughout the whole process and helped me tremendously organize my thougths/vision. She was checking in with me constantly during the whole wedding to see if there was anything I needed! More than a DJ service. Truly like family! I was impressed.

Crushed it

Our DJ team from Sound Event DJs absolutely crushed it! They were incredibly responsive and easy to connect with, which had a lot to do with why we chose them. Our wedding was very small with only 35 guests and I worried about keeping people on the dance floor, etc. Our DJs really kept the party going and the dance floor was never empty. We had SO MUCH FUN!

Incredible Team

Could not be happier with our decision to go with Sound Event DJs four our big day! Monica was so easy and fun to work with, helping us plan every detail when it came to entertainment. Sound Event DJs was more than amazing. Since the day I started working with them Monica was always there to help and answer any questions. Jorge was our DJ and he absolutely killed it! Every single person was on the dance floor! He made sure to play all my request I made during the planning process. Sound Event DJs also provided our photobooth and let me tell you this was the biggest hit! Seeing the photos afterwards of all our guest enjoying the photobooth really touched our hearts the next day looking at this! Sound Event DJs is absolutely amazing all around!

Monica and Jorge were the dynamic duo that made our wedding reception an absolute blast!

From the moment they started spinning, the dance floor was packed for a full three hours straight. Jorge’s ability to read the room's energy was impeccable, seamlessly transitioning between high-energy tracks to slower jams as needed, and making sure everyone had a chance to catch their breath without ever losing momentum.

What truly stood out was Jorge's skill in catering to our diverse guest list, (my husband's family is American Jewish family while my family is Colombian.) He effortlessly blended Latin beats, classic hits, and our personal favorites, resulting in a night of unforgettable fun. In the days following our wedding, guests of all ages and backgrounds kept reaching out to gush about how much fun they had and how much they enjoyed the music.

Monica was also an absolute gem and a supportive presence throughout the day. From checking in on me, the bride, to ensuring everything ran smoothly, her warmth and support made such a difference.

Best DJ/Sound Team

Monica and Jorge are an absolute dream team to work with. I hired them after having a blast a co worker’s wedding and they were so EASY to work with from the start. Very organized, responsive, and knew exactly what we were going for. The musicians I hired through them were EXCELLENT, I strongly recommend the Jazz quartet. Monica handled my frantic emails and questions like a champ! The DJ, Jorge, was spot on with the music and handled all of our last minute requests and created a BANGER vibe the whole night. Everyone was non stop dancing which is exactly what I hoped for. I was SO happy I went with Sound Event DJ’s and HIGHLY recommend!

Hire sound event DJ's!

SoundEvent DJ's were super easy to work with. We used their DJ services, uplighting, and photobooth and were very pleased with everything. They have a platform where you can send in all your music requests and help plan the day. I met with Monica a few times before who was very responsive and organized. She helped design the photo printout logo for our photobooth, which helped double as our wedding favor. DJ Duni was our DJ for the day and he was great- he kept the party going all night long while still sticking to our song requests. Definitely recommend them for your DJ/lighting/photobooth services!

I cannot say enough good things about Sound Event DJs. We had a very tight timeline for our wedding and Monica was so helpful in keeping me on track to help plan details of my wedding. I even forgot to fill out the event details form on time, and on the night of CHRISTMAS EVE she took the time to help. If that doesn’t show commitment, I don’t know what does. Not only did the DJ keep the vibe going all night, but he was such a genuinely nice person, and I am so happy he was there on the night of our wedding, assuring us and making sure our guests had a great time. Monica and Jorge were the dream team at my wedding this past week! From the start, they had the best DJ/Photobooth package I have seen, and their reviews speak for themselves. I was so confident with my choice that they made it so easy. They give you access to a whole event manager portal where you can input the details for your wedding/event, preferences, song lists (must play, play if possible, do not play), wedding event details, everything. In advance of the event they met with us to review timeline of the event, review our requested details and their invaluable recommendations. They even accommodated some last minutes changes on our end and they made me feel so relaxed the day of. Our guests had a BLAST at the photobooth and the dance floor was going all evening. As the bride I had a perfect day and got nothing but compliments on the DJ team. I highly recommend Jorge and Monica.

Best DJS you will ever find.

Love love love them. Monica is a doll and she's precise and very detailed. If trust her all over again. My DJS were Rudy and Bessie and they rocked the house. Monica and Jorge are amazing and they oversee.
But my DIS Rudy and Bessie never skipped a beat. They were professional and followed everything we wanted to the last detail. We are so happy with this company.

Greatest night of our lives!!

Sound Event DJs made our wedding come to life! We absolutely loved their easy-to-use planning website. We were able to pick and choose which songs we wished to be played at our wedding. Monica and Jorge did an incredible job hosting our reception. Everything from the bridal introductions to the lighting was perfection. Jorge was a very charismatic and entertaining MC. He did a great job hosting our shoe game and making sure the evening’s events ran smoothly. Our guests absolutely LOVED his music selection! Jorge definitely knew how to get everyone on the dance floor. The equipment Sound Event DJs used was clearly top of the line. The intelligent moving lights were able to turn our elegant venue into a rocking night club. It was incredible to see the transformation. Choosing Sound Event DJs for our wedding was the best decision we made! We’re excited to use them again for future parties and events. Amazing people to work with!

I can’t say good enough things about Monica and Jorge. Monica worked with me since day 1 and was always attentive. We got the package that included the lights, and photo booth. The photo booth was epic and it made a great addition to our wedding. We also hired La Hora Loca through them! Our family and friends loved it!!! Our reception went without a hitch because of them. Jorge is a fabulous DJ and the music he played and transitions were flawless. Everything fell together perfectly and they were such a huge part of it. I’m so glad I found them to DJ my wedding. Areas of opportunities
- The ceremony was beautiful! DJ Duni did great with playing the songs, everything was perfect.
- Cocktail hour was good too.
- Reception was nice as well. I did wish to hear more English songs. We had mentioned to Dj Duni during our 1:1 prior to the wedding date that we have a lot of English speaking guests who we wanted them to feel included since majority of the songs were Spanish. We wanted a good balance with English/Spanish, as our Hora Loca was all Spanish songs.
- When it came to being an MC, I would’ve loved for him to have more presence. He would make announcements and my guests didn’t even know he would make the announcements. He would speak over the music instead of lowering the music and then speaking to make the announcements. He made an announcement about deserts being ready and no one knew about it.

Overall everything was amazing. Thank you again for willing to work with me and going above and beyond!

Monica and DJ Jorge from Sound Event DJs were AMAZING! My husband and I are so thankful that we had Monica and Jorge for our destination wedding in Florida. Right from our initial meeting, it was evident that Monica knew her stuff- she has been in the wedding music business for so long and we can tell! She was professional, responsive, and kind. She also provided so many suggestions on what we could do and sent us pictures/videos to facilitate. We also met DJ Jorge over a video call- Monica and Jorge made time during their family vacation to meet with us which was beyond nice! We ended up selecting the package that included a DJ and live musicians (percussionist and sax), and uplighting.

DJ Jorge and the live musicians did NOT disappoint the day of! We had the BEST TIME and I literally did not leave the dance floor to go to the bar once after dinner was served as the music was SO good! Jorge and the live musicians outdid themselves and we are so thankful for them. There were some hiccups along the day with the timeline (unrelated to music), and I remember Monica and Jorge giving me a big hug which I will remember. I don't even know where to begin to explain how perfect sound event dj's was for our wedding. they treated my HUSBAND and I like family. even during the wedding Monica was ready to help me with whatever I needed - music or non-music-related. I was instantly able to trust them upon our first meeting, and they fully understood our vibe and expectations - trust me guys, they are experienced! the wedding party was a BLAST, and out-of-towners even mentioned that they needed to be sure and book my 'miami dj' for their wedding. I danced for 3 hours non-stop, and so did my entire wedding. there wasn't 1 song that was played that had 1/2 the wedding sit down as I've witnessed at other weddings. If I was back at day 1 of being engaged and had to do it all over, I would stick with them. Honestly, stop reading reviews and just book them. you will not be disappointed.

Amazing DJ

I would recommend Sound Event DJs to anyone looking for a good DJ. We hired them for our recent wedding. Monica took the time to answer all our questions prior to our booking Sound Event DJs. My husband and I were provided with a link where we were able to select songs that "must be played", "play if possible", and "do not play", as well as specific songs to be played at certain points (our entrance, first dance, father/daughter dance, mother/son dance, etc.) The DJ, Jorge, not only followed our requests, but also added the perfect mix of other songs, that had the whole room dancing the entire evening. I don't think there was ever a moment that the dance floor was empty other than when everyone was eating dinner. Sound Event DJs also provided uplighting that helped tie together the room. The did not just meet, but in fact exceeded all my expectations for the evening. 10/10 would recommend Sound Event DJs.

Jorge was the DJ for BOTH my sister and brother's wedding. I am the third of my siblings to marry and I knew without a doubt I had to have Jorge as my DJ. He is absolutely AMAZING and TALENTED. He pumps the crowd up, his mixes are crazy good and he is so personable as well as professional. My family loves him and his wife Monica. Monica takes care of business! We used their lighting which was just beautiful during the reception and the misty bubble machine was a perfect touch to our send off. PLEASE hire Jorge for any event! He is THEE BEST! Sound Event DJs - 5 Stars!!!

We booked Monica and her team at Sound Event DJS and Lighting for our wedding at the PGA National Resort 10/22/22. Let me tell you, we couldn't have made a better choice. We booked the fairy tale package which included all the bells and whistles. Monica was extremely easy to work with (our planner Luis loves her) and was very detailed oriented throughout the planning and day of. Monica and her team are professional in every aspect but also bring a fun excitement factor that we appreciated very much. Jorge was our DJ and everyone had a blast on the dance floor. If you're looking for an all in one DJ/sound/lights vendor, then you won't go wrong with Sound Event DJS and Lighting! We loved them!!!

The Best Around!

I came across Sound Events DJ through Instagram and I'm so happy I did! They are the dream team! From start to finish Monica made sure everything was perfect for us. We used their DJ service, photobooth with a GORGEOUS flower wall/neon sign as a back drop, customized monogram, and the first dance on a cloud. EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT!!!!!!!

Amazing services

We used Sound Event DJs for our wedding and used their DJ, photo booth, and up-lighting services. Monica helped answer all my questions before booking. She even sent me pictures and videos of the venue we were using to see their work with past clients and even FaceTimed me while she was at our venue to see their set up live! This really helped me make the decision to book with them since I am a very visual person and appreciated the extra mile Monica went to make sure I had no questions left unanswered. During the planning process Monica was always easy to get in touch with and answer any questions I had. She even helped with last minute additions I requested like adding a guest book for the photobooth and editing some songs for the reception. On the day of our wedding both Monica and Jorge and their assistants were great! Everyone loved the photo booth, the up-lights really helped set the mood, and the DJ played great songs to keep us dancing all night long. While we did have a long list of “must play” songs, Jorge did not play all of them but I think this is because he was trying to keep people on the dance floor and keep the vibe up so he went with some of his own selections which worked out great! We also had a gobo light and personalized picture print outs from the photo booth which Monica was very patient with showing me the many different options for each. I highly recommend Sound Event DJ for your wedding! They helped us have an amazing wedding and party!

Highly Recommend!

You know how they say not everything goes perfectly as planned for your wedding day, no matter how much you plan and organize? That happened with everything during our wedding besides Sound Event DJs. Monica, Jorge, and their team helped to make our day the most spectacular day of our lives!

The pre-wedding communication was excellent and they were completely open to changing anything we wanted. In addition to phone calls and emails, we had a great zoom session with Monica the week prior to finalize all the details and she was an absolute pleasure to work with.

During the wedding, Jorge did an excellent job with timing songs, announcements, and volume exactly as we requested. We had a violinist during the ceremony and we have received so many compliments with how beautiful it was to have the musician before and during the ceremony. We also used the photobooth and monogram options which our guests loved as well!

Monica and Jorge are such a pleasure and made everything turn out so perfectly. We thank you a million times over for making our day so special! Highly recommend!!!

Best DJ Team!

We could not recommend Sound Event DJ's enough! Our main goal for our wedding was to have an amazing party, which includes a packed dance floor, and this team ensured that it was full the whole night. They played a mix of everything we wanted and were able to fill in the gaps with amazing songs that got everyone on their feet. Working with George, Monica and their whole team throughout our 3 year wedding planning process (including 2 rescheduled dates) was not only easy but it was enjoyable as well. They are amazing people and will make you feel relaxed while planning on of the biggest days of your life! We hope to work with them again in the future.

Also, we would highly recommend renting one of their photo booths! We rented the greenery wall with a neon sign and the pictures came out amazing and the flash disk includes gifs of the photos as well which has been hysterical to look back at.

Sound Event DJs does so much more than getting your guests up on the dance floor, they are the ultimate entertainment package. Our wedding at Living Sculpture Sanctuary in Davie, FL was a dream, and I credit Sound Event DJs for creating such an intimate, yet high energy atmosphere. First off, Monica Antonatos is so passionate about what she does and it shows in the quality of work she puts into creating a memorable experience. She went above and beyond to show me new ways to enhance our wedding experience; she is truly an artist! Our DJs, Rudy and Bessy, knew exactly how to get the party started. There was not one moment of the night that the dance floor was empty, and I believe that speaks volumes of the talent of this incredible DJ duo. Our wedding day had several performances that required coordination of equipment and music timings, and they nailed every component. Rudy and Bessy are extraordinary listeners and communicators during the days prior to our event, they knew exactly my vision of the night, and they exceeded my expectations. Also have to give a shoutout to the photobooth operators, it was a great addition to our night's entertainment. The quality of the photos and variety of props were excellent and so much fun! Best DJ ever!

We are so happy we chose Sound Event as our DJ! Music and dancing were super important to us for our reception, and everything from the booking, planning, and day-of was super smooth with this vendor.

Rudy was an awesome DJ and kept our guests on the dance floor the whole night! We got several compliments from guests about how much they loved the music. We also went with the photobooth, which was a hit. Loved that we were able to choose the design of the prints and receive a digital copy of the photos that same night! It was really convenient that we didn't have to hire a separate vendor for this.

During the planning process, Monica was super communicative, reassuring, and best of all, organized. We were able to input must-play songs, genre preferences, and extra details in a digital planner and met to review everything together beforehand. If we ever had any questions or concerns, she was quick to respond and jump on a call regardless of how busy they were!

Sound Event DJ's was truly wonderful to work with and we can't recommend them enough for anyone looking for DJ services!

Sound Event DJs! Wow where to begin?! From the moment I reached out to them to the day of my wedding they made my experience absolutely wonderful! I had the pleasure of working with the amazing Monica and her husband (and owner of the company) Jorge and I must say they did not disappoint! Communication with Monica was top notch and constant, she never made me feel like I was bugging her with my endless questions and changes I was making with our timeline lol
I was never waiting around for her to get things done, she was on top of all the details, helped me make sure all my boxes were checked for my big day. On our wedding day, she kept us on track with our timeline, she didn’t miss a beat and I must say everything turned out even better than I could have imagined. If you want a PARTY, this is your vendor!

Hire this vendor RIGHT NOW if it is important to you that your wedding is fun, authentic and stress-free, and has the BEST DJ! Monica and Jorge are awesome--it felt like I was working with friends and they treated me like I was their only client from the moment I signed my contract. Hiring a DJ was the hardest vendor decision for me because I was worried that a DJ wouldn't have the same energy as a band (couldn't find one that I connected with) and the #1 priority for me was to have a FUN wedding. I spent hours talking to other DJs that just didn't seem authentic (literally every one spent most of our conversation talking about their radio/celebrity/nightclub experience). But, after speaking to Monica my decision was made. I told her what I wanted, what my budget was, what I didn't need and she delivered! Monica and Jorge weren't just trying to make money; they wanted me to have the wedding of my dreams--which it was! This is hands-down the best dj + photo booth in all of South Florida!!! Every single one of my guests couldn't stop talking about how fun the reception was BECAUSE of the music and how sore they were from dancing all night!! 10/10 would recommend!!

Words can't event explain how insane of a job Sound Event DJs did for my wedding. Monica is one of the nicest people I've ever met and her and her husband Jorge are the ultimate power couple. Biggest thank you - amazing family company

Sound Event DJs did an amazing job with my wedding reception! I could not have asked for more professional service. They are more than just DJs, they are sound quality, lighting, and critical behind the scene people that allow for everything to run smoothly! I had several people telling me I needed a ‘day-of’ coordinator; I was pretty set on not using one, but everyone’s comments made me doubt. Sincerely with Sound Event DJs (and my reception venue), it was not needed for me, because they were amazing at coordinating the events of the reception. Monica was in continuous communication with me prior to the wedding. She is easy to talk to and responsive. Once I had the order of events for the evening organized, we had a conversation about it about a week prior to the wedding and everything ran so smoothly on the big day. Their timing of when dances/ speeches are going to happen, the quality of their sound system, the knowledge they have in how many speakers to use for how big the party is, lighting placement, experience at my my reception venue, and of course the music – everything - amazing. I was a bit worried about lighting be right for the speeches and dinner vs for the dance party, the obvious need for different tones needed to be set. They hit it on the nail. Monica sent me pictures before hand of what different color up-lighting looked like at my venue. (I attached pics of my reception). They have a website/ system in which you can in-put requested songs; I also gave them a play-list on a word document, and they stuck to it/ pick up on the vibe of it, and of the crowd. My dance floor was packed all-night! I and so many of my guests really had an amazing time at my reception and I have this company in big part to thank! So, sincerely BIG thank you!!!! I would use them again/ recommend them to anyone in a heart-beat!

Sound Event DJs is not only one of the more financially reasonable DJ options out there but they brought the house down! Our DJ Eddie totally nailed it, he played all the songs we asked for, but also new how to read the room and kept the party going all night long - the dance floor was NEVER empty! The best!!!

So so highly recommend! These guys are awesome! I worked with Monica throughout the planning process and she is nothing short of amazing - So friendly, communicative, dependable.... I could go on and on! She went above and beyond when it came to helping us with the planning and timeline for the evening - we didn’t use a planner so Monica basically took over and walked me step by step through the ceremony and reception and helped me plan each detail. George was our DJ and he was the best! He had the perfect music going at all times and really played stuff that everyone of different ages and music preferences actually enjoyed. He kept the whole flow of the night running smoothly and kept the energy fun! And we LOVED the photo-booth Monica put together for us, the photos from that night are the best. We couldn’t have been happier, wish I could give even more stars!

Amazing experience!!!

If you’re looking for a company that will treat you like family and be there with you every step of the way in your wedding planning experience, stop looking!!! Sound Event DJ’s is a family run business from Jorge our DJ to his wife Monica and their lovely daughter they all made our special day amazing. Monica must have fielded 25 calls from my neurotic fiancé during the year planning the wedding. And she always answered every call and handled every little issue or concern she had, and would even calm her down when she was stressing over other aspects of the wedding planning process. DJ sound Events was especially accommodating when it came to having to downsize the wedding and change venues at the last minute do to the Covid pandemic. Amazing!!!

Monica and Jorge are so amazing to work with!! While planning Monica was so helpful with picking our music and patient with all the requests we had! Having a wedding during COVID is hard, and I didn’t think people would dance but Jorge played just a variety of music so many people danced through the night! They Made Our Night!

My husband and I got married 2 years ago, I've just now gotten around to all my reviews (we had a cross country move and a baby in between). Sound Event DJ's were professional, so easy to deal with (I had a destination wedding and was planning everything from out of state) and were reliable and dependable on day of. Their setup blended in and never seemed in the way. And the music was off the hook! It's two years later and we still have friends tell us it was the best wedding they've been to. I can't recommend them enough!!! 10/10 for me!!

Amazing to work with!

Sound Event DJ’s was absolutely amazing to work with! Having a COVID Wedding is not an easy task, as we had to make several changed in the past few months. However, Monica and Jorge were very easy going and up for anything!! Prior to our Wedding Day we met with Monica a couple times, she talked us through EVERYTHING, gave us a very detailed timeline, and most importantly she tried to understand us and make sure they played everything we loved. All of our friends and family are still raving about our DJ’s and how they had such a great time at our Wedding. They truly made it a party and we could not be more thankful for everything they did!!

Amazing!!!

Sound Events DJs was hands down the best DJ I’ve seen. We had George as our DJ and one too of him playing all the songs we loved, he also was able to take cues and change a song, or play one that matched the moment without even asking!! In addition Monica, their event planner, was the most helpful when it came to asking questions - she was responsive in a timely manner. Not to mention, they also did this in the midst of a hurricane - pandemic! Thank you guys so much, truly!

Fantastic experience!

Monica and Jorge are wonderful! Monica was extremely responsive and helpful along the way. Their wedding app gets you everything you need, and Jorge reviews to make sure he plays the music you're looking for. The live musicians were a real treat and made the evening even that more fun. The photo booth was the best one I've seen in terms of props, execution, etc. Several people commented that the day was the best or one of the best weddings they had attended. Thank you Monica and Jorge for being so wonderful to work with and helping make our event truly spectacular! They are highly recommended :)

Best DJ ever

I have no words to describe how amazing Sound Event is. From day one they made sure all my requests were accommodated. Monica made sure to talk me through everything. On the day of, they kept everyone on the dance floor and the photo booth was hit. So many props and their team is so friendly and helpful. Monica & Jorge are the best for wedding entertainment & decor! From my first meeting with Monica, to the venue walk through, to the easy client portal - every aspect was flawless & easy. Monica & Jorge listened to our requests and came through on our big day! Jorge had to DJ alongside a tipico Dominican band which isn't easy to do but he pulled it off!!! So easy to deal with, and their communication is awesome even though they are booked every week! Sound Event has so many uplighting and extra options (fog machine, monograms, cold sparklers) to make the night extra special! If you don't want to stress about your wedding guests not having fun BOOK WITH SOUND EVENT!

Side note: They are a LEO friendly company!

The best DJ for your wedding.

This is the best Vendor ever!! Monica and Jorge are super awesome and nice. The wedding was so fun everyone can’t stop talking on how the up lights was so beautiful and the led photo booth was so cool!!! All my guests old and young dance all night. The DJ choices of musics was excellent and also there’s an online site where you can also coordinate your choice of songs. All guests kept telling me this was a fun wedding. We definitely recommended to everyone. If you want to have a Lit 🔥 wedding they’re the vendor you need to booked.

Amazing DJ service!

Cannot thank Monica and Rudy enough for helping make our wedding the best day of our lives!!! From the very first time I contacted the company, I was treated promptly and with warmth and professionalism. My husband and I were able to sit down with Monica to go over our wedding details and to learn more about the company. She provided us with a quote during this first meeting and then we followed up with her to schedule the event. Everything was paid for through an online portal, which made it simple and easy. For the day of, we ended up having Rudy as our DJ, and he was amazing! He incorporated some playlists we had prepared, as we had the wedding at home, and it was much longer than most. And then he did a great job of playing other requested music from the company's online planning portal. He even had backup equipment and was able to quickly troubleshoot a microphone issue during the evening. I really could not recommend them more!!!

The perfect party

One of the most important parts for me at our wedding was the DJ. I LOVE to dance, and I wanted everyone of my guest to celebrate by dancing with me. Jorge kept everyone on the dance floor at my outdoor wedding during 85 degree heat in 100% humidity. We were soaked in sweat and still putting our hands in the air all night. While Jorge knew exactly what I wanted to hear based on my entries on his online portal, he also knew exactly WHEN to play what song AND how long. All I had to do was show up and dance.

The Best Experience!

Our wedding was the best party ever because of Jorge at Sound Event DJs! From day one, Monica and Jorge were professional, flexible, and are industry experts! They provided an online platform that was easy to use and provided me the tools to make sure nothing was missed during the planning! They went above and beyond just being a vendor for us. Our original venue cancelled our wedding, and Jorge and Monica were there helping me find a new venue, providing me venue contact information, and checking in with me throughout my planning journey! On the day of everything went PERFECTLY- Jorge and Monica made sure every detail was thought of with the lighting, photo booth, and set up. Jorge is extremely talented in making your special occasion the best party. One thing that stood out when I looking around taking in the moment and both Monica and Jorge make eye contact with me and gave me a thumbs up- is was the best feeling that they are keeping an eye on EVERYTHING! Definitely a Great Experience with Sound Event DJ's

We hired Sound Event DJ's to provide services at our ceremony and reception on 03/28/2019. I worked primarily with Monica during the planning process. Monica was always responsive and made sure that everything was properly planned before the wedding day. She was also in charge of the photo booth (which came from the same company) on the day of the reception. The photo booth services were great and reasonably priced.

The DJ that provided the services during our ceremony was Jorge. He of course was on time and did a great job. I didn't get to work very closely with him, because his services were mainly conducted before I arrived at the ceremony. However, I do know that he is the owner and did everything to specifications.

The DJ that provided the services during our reception was Shamar. Shamar was absolutely excellent in every way. I was able to work closely with him. I spoke to him a few days before the wedding, and he delivered on everything we discussed and more. He was full of energy and went by the book on our requests and provided excellent music choices in the areas where we gave open choice to the DJ.

I would highly recommend this company!

Best dj company!

Rudy & his wife Bessy were a complete blessing! They were super helpful with some of the hiccups that ended up happening with another vender & they definitely kept the party rolling with all the awesome music & kept the guest entertained! Not to mention super accommodating to still have the cocktail hour outside since the outside ceremony ended up getting rained out! Highly recommend this company!!!

Not only a great DJ, but a great MC and great guy to work with

We had the wonderful pleasure of having Shamar DJ our wedding . Shamar did a great job acquiring and playing all the songs we requested (in 3 different languages). He was easy to work with and ended up guiding us through everything we should do since we were inexperienced. He asked all the right questions and because of that our day went smoothly. He arrived in a timely manner and was dressed very appropriately. There is nothing bad that I could say about Shamar. I am very pleased with his work and I know our guests enjoyed him just as much as we did :)

The Sound Events team was AMAZING. They read the room, catered to guests, and got everyone dancing at different portions of the night! The photo booth was an incredible add on. I cannot rave enough about Sound Event DJs. From start to finish they were professional and so enthusiastic about my wedding day. Jorge was the DJ and played exactly what me and my guests wanted to hear. The party was nonstop, and several people told me they have never been to a wedding where they were on the dance floor the entire time. I wish I could post a video!! Monica & Antoinnette were in charge of the photo booth and they brought many fun props, and made the decor very modern to match the theme of my wedding. 5 stars all the way you will not regret hiring them for any of your events!!

From the first point of contact to the actual wedding: everything went smoothly. Both Monica and Jorg are very kind people, took the time to talk things through and were very flexible in adjusting times. At the wedding itself they kept the party going. Jorge and Monica met with us to go every detail for our daughter's quinceanera party. They were both great and very professional. Everyone LOVED the music!!! Jorge got the crowd going and off their feet and on to the dance floor. Our daughter, family and friends had a great time. He arrived and setup on time, was very attentive to the guest and their request and even handed out our party balloons and party foam glow sticks. I love Jorge and his team at Sound Events. My wedding day was the liveliest and most fun celebration thanks to his hard work and dedication to making sure that the music was perfect at every moment. From his online planning tools to his Skype meetings, he made working through our big day and our lighting /sound planning so easy! He gave me options and suggestions to ensure that I could choose whatever I wanted for music and lighting for my big day. Additionally, when little hiccups occurred or the order of the bridal party entrances changed on the day of the wedding, he was easily able to adapt and deliver a perfect introduction. During the reception, he read the crowd perfectly, took requests from guests, and also made sure that every song we asked for got to be played. Everyone was so happy and having so much fun. He also knew exactly when to step in or make announcements and when to be in the background or behind the booth. He is truly great at what he does, and I loved working with him. What can I say about Jorge... Since my first Skype call with him (as I live in NY) I knew I was in the BEST hands for our wedding.. He listened to each request for our variety and love of so many styles of music, offered suggestions on key songs and even helped me do something special for my wedding to honor my Dad on my wedding day.. He is such a wonderful and lovely soul! He was not only talented and kept everyone dancing all night to so many fun styles of music ranging from merengue, 80's, dance, etc but did it with the BIGGEST smile on his face. It took me SO long to choose a DJ as music is my life and passion and I wanted to ensure who we chose knew how to blend music perfectly (a pet peeve of mine when I experience DJ's that can't) and Jorge was without a Doubt the BEST!
I will be forever grateful for what he did for me in ensuring that my Video tribute to my Hero, My father, who's birthday was at midnight on my wedding night and who couldn't be present at my wedding was showcased and it just made the end of our wedding so special. Simply put, Jorge got busy on the ones and twos at our wedding! But for the full story, you have to go back to the beginning of team Jorge and Monica as Sound Event DJ’s providing a completely professional wedding planning experience from start to finish.

After narrowing down to our shortlist of candidates, Sound Event immediately gave us confidence that it would be an easy and professional affair throughout. Their team was extremely responsive and took the stress out of planning the sound for all aspects of our cocktail hour and reception.

Sound Event helped plan the additional lighting, which along with a list of other options were fairly and reasonably priced. Their interactive website helped make song planning for each of the many reception moments an absolute breeze, allowing us to be as detailed or hands off with the selections as we wanted.
