It is a wonderful world out there and in this high technology age there are so many great ways to travel… You can take a boat…. hop on a train…. Fly on a plane…. Take a car…..or even go "up, up and away" in a hot air balloon. But there is one artist out there who feels the best way to travel is by music. His name is Shawn Paris… he is a jazz singer, and he enjoys flying his audiences "To the moon”, taking them on “Route 66” or to “New York, NY”. Maybe even helping them to feel that “Summer wind”, or taking them “Somewhere Beyond The Sea”.

“I am amazed by how transfixed my audiences are when I croon those beautiful old standards” , says Shawn. “In some way those songs not only entertain them but also transport them to another place and time”. “A time when perhaps life was a little more simple, less high paced and maybe even a little easier to understand.”

Shawn believes that in this hectic world more than ever people need a happy place to go to and “Get away from it all”, and he feels that in a special way his music and voice take the them there. “You would be stunned at how many people come up to me after a performance and thank me not only for my music but also for taking them back to the good old days and helping them relax".

Shawn’s voice which has been described as a “vocal martini" made of equal parts “softness” and “smoothness”, with a special "romantic ”, is gaining popularity throughout Central Florida. Home based in Winter Park, Fl he performs at clubs, restaurants, concerts, weddings and public and corporate events to rave reviews and feels that all age groups relate to his music. “One would automatically assume that my audiences are mostly made up of middle aged or senior listeners”, says Shawn “ but you would be surprised how many people in the teens and early 20’s or 30’s really enjoy this music just as much and think it is cool!” “Perhaps there is a timeless nature in this music and sound that makes people “Misty”, is just “Unforgettable”….. and quite frankly “Too marvelous for words”.
