Simply put, Sassy Little Bee is the reason we had our wedding in Southern California, and was the single best decision we made!!! Her experience, thoughtfulness, enthusiasm, attention to detail, amazing list of vendors/friends, and love for what she does didn’t just complement our wedding - it defined it!!

As New Yorkers, for several months after our engagement we flirted with the idea of a destination wedding, but were overwhelmed by the choices and the prospect of managing a list of vendors from across the country. After one conversation with Amanda, our trepidation disappeared and was replaced with pure enthusiasm for what we could do together. With zero hesitation, we signed up for a “Full Service Wedding Planning” package and never looked back!

Pretty quickly into the process, Amanda assessed our vision, and introduced us to a tremendous group of vendors, helped us lock in our venue (Darlington House in La Jolla), and provided a roadmap to help us understand what the road ahead would look like. Each month, for over a year, we had monthly calls with Amanda that were collaborative, productive, oftentimes therapeutic, and in an era of pinterest-inspired fads and whims, kept us focused on our original vision.

One of the most amazing qualities about Amanda is that she communicates extremely well with different personalities, has an instinctive awareness of her client’s needs, and provides room for the process to be as collaborative or as done-for-you as you may want.

Amanda went above and beyond in every regard for our wedding, and her commitment to us having *our* perfect wedding was unyielding. Over the course of planning our wedding, we made a couple trips out to California, not because we needed to, but in part because we were so excited to spend time with Amanda and the amazing vendors she introduced us to.

A few months into our wedding planning process, we were so enamored with and impressed by Amanda, we even asked her to officiate our wedding. This was a testament not just to our extreme trust and faith in her, but how safe she made us feel throughout the process, how well she got to know us, and how obvious it was she was just as invested in our big day as we were. Turns out, it was a great decision; she was a phenomenal officiant — truly magical and so incredibly thoughtful. (Not a surprise!)

Throughout the wedding journey, we met and hired many super talented vendors, and could not have been more pleased with the results, but the singular credit for everything being as magnificent as it was goes to Amanda, her ability to communicate with our team of vendors, unite everyone behind a clear vision, and ensure it was executed precisely, with love and joy from all those who were involved.

When you work with Amanda, you don’t just get a wedding planner. You get a wedding visionary with the ability to take everything up a notch (or 10!) Amanda was the best coordinator I could have asked for. From our first meeting with her up we knew she was the one for us. She was on top of things and made sure our day was special and fun.

I can't thank Amanda enough for her help the day of our wedding and months leading up to it! We knew we had to book her when we saw how detail oriented and resourceful she was during our initial conversation even before we put our deposit down. She offers a variety of different services and we decided to go with the 'You Need It' package which includes coordination for day-of and 3 months prior to the wedding.

The money we spent on our Coordination services with Amanda and the Sassy Little Bee team were the most important and valuable dollars spent for our whole wedding. Being able to hand over our vendors and details for Amanda to handle made the whole planning process seamless and stress-free. Amanda and the SLB team are awesome! Originally we had planned on doing more of the wedding planning/coordination ourselves and only hiring a coordinator for the last month to run our event the day of. However, as we got deeper into the wedding planning process, we quickly realized that the mountain of organization and expertise was going to be more than we could (or wanted to) handle.
Starting with our first conversation, it was apparent that Amanda was great at her job. She was an excellent listener, asked tons of questions and was easy to talk to. I felt so comfortable with her and her abilities, I knew she would be the perfect person for us to work with through our entire wedding journey, not just the day or month of.
From the get go, Amanda kept in good contact with us, and was very responsive to our questions. She was an excellent sounding board to bounce ideas off of and would either give us ways to enhance our ideas or identify potential pitfalls. Her direct and confident nature really helped shape what had just been loose ideas into what ended up being our wedding day. Most importantly however, it always felt like she had our best interest at heart. She genuinely wanted us to have the experience that we had envisioned.
As we got closer to the big day, Amanda kept us calm even when things were stressful. She was organized with our vendors and made sure even the most minor details were taken care of. It really took all the anxiety and stress off our shoulders and on the day of the wedding she and her team made sure everything was pulled off as close to flawless as we could hope for. Our guests had such a great time because of her (and her team’s) efforts and for that we are so grateful!
We had so many great vendors and amazing people help us with our wedding but none of it would have been pulled together in such a memorable way if it weren’t for Amanda and the SLB team. Thank you, thank you, thank you! :)

I would not have wanted anyone else by our side on our wedding day. Amanda is so calm and collected and efficient -- and a true professional in the industry. She will allow you to totally enjoy your day without noticing a single thing that may or may not go wrong. It almost felt surreal to fully experience and take in our wedding day after hearing how easily you get distracted or pulled in different directions. Looking back on the day I felt incredibly present and able to appreciate all the little moments – I genuinely feel Amanda is a big reason why.

Amanda’s nickname, Sassy Little Bee, is totally appropriate – she’s super sweet, quirky and a kid at heart, but meantime she can be tough with vendors and won’t let them get away with excuses. We had a few tiffs with a vendor and Amanda helped me through all the strife and headaches – even at 8am the morning after the wedding.

Most importantly, hiring Amanda gave us total peace of mind. I was confident that her years of experience meant there wouldn’t be a single detail forgotten and I was right (not to mention – have you SEEN her wedding day emergency kit?!). If you’re getting married at Brick – don’t look elsewhere. Amanda knows the venue like the back of her hand and can foresee any disaster as well as expedite approvals because she knows exactly what the venue needs from your vendors.

Bonus – the sweetest touch was her thoughtful, handwritten card left at our table for us to read during dinner, reminding us to savor every moment of the night.

Where do I begin. Amanda pretty much saved our hearts and minds during our engagement. She somehow made our lives bearable. Now I know engagements are supposed to be all about love and happiness and that is true, it’s such an amazing time but I will be totally honest, planning a wedding is STRESSFUL! And you need someone like Amanda to help keep you both keep sane and to take some of the load off from your already busy lives so you can actually enjoy your engagement.
My amazing fiancé and I probably had it more rough than most but Amanda somehow held it together until the end. We never saw if she was frustrated or not during our engagement, she never showed us anything but calm, cool and collected professionalism. To name just a few of the things we went through so you can understand how startling it is that Amanda was able to manage it all; I had some serious medical conditions causing us to postpone our wedding 1 year and cut our budget significantly, 2 parents were in serious condition with long hospital stays, and we had a wedding vendor cancel our contract due to a difference in opinion on a color of paint. Now you can imagine all the late night/ early morning phone calls, texts, and emails that Amanda must have received throughout our engagement. She called our vendors, worked on contracts behind the scenes, dealt with issues so we only had to do what was needed.
Amanda also made sure we were on top of things on our end. She gave us checklists/ to dos to make it simple. Each month, Amanda met with us to made sure we were getting what was needed-done so that to make we could have the wedding we had always wanted.
Amanda had to be tough and yet sensitive, she had to be our support system when no one one else was there and had to be the one on our side, to get our voice heard and to basically, get the job done. If that is what you want during your engagement- Amazing Amanda is the one. She is one of a kind and I will never forget her and all she did for us

There is not one bad thing we can say about Amanda. We were fortunate enough to have Amanda for florals, as well as our wedding coordinator. She was hired for the month of our wedding as our coordinator.

One of our biggest pieces of advice for engaged couples is to get a wedding coordinator! Although she was hired for the month of, she was helping way before. She sat down with us a few times to discuss every detail of the wedding. She is a Type A person’s dream and a Type B person’s savior. Amanda is super organized!! She makes a personalized binder for each couple, which includes many details you probably never even thought of. She has a website where she makes a replica of your reception layout for seating arrangements and where important tables will be. This program allows you to input your guests, so you can assign seating. Huge help!

My husband and I felt the wedding ran smoothly. Days and weeks later, we heard from our guests about minor hiccups that occurred at some point throughout the day. She took care of business during throughout the day so we wouldn’t know of any issues. She brought so much relief and comfort to what could have been the most stressful day for us.

Not only is Amanda good at her job, she is simply a good person. We met with many coordinators and didn’t get a genuine or comforting feeling. Amanda was the first person we felt we could be ourselves around. She is down-to-earth, calming, and nice. My husband and I recommend Amanda as your wedding coordinator. You will not be disappointed!

What I liked the most is that all the staff is professional and will answer all of your questions. Also, they were recommend by HVK Entertainment which made our decision easier because they are too very professional. Our coordinators name is Amanda , and we are thrilled to be working with her . She calls you constantly too make sure your on track and is willing to tell you truth about questions you may have. You can tell she has a lot of experience in this industry .

Sassy Little Bee truly stunned us with their incredible talent, amazing creativity, and impeccable organization! But what we appreciated most was that this company genuinely cares about their clients and does everything in their power to make the day and planning process perfect. Sassy Little Bee is led by Amanda and she is a force to be reckoned with! She kept the entire team on point, on time, but always having fun and enjoying the collaboration. She kept us focused, always moving forward during the process, but also realistic about what was possible and what could get us in over our heads with our budget and vision.
