Ruthann’s Gourmet Bakery is an artist wedding cake bakery for couples in the Bellaire, Michigan area. This team of confectionists create wedding masterpieces for couples that taste as incredible as they look. From traditional wedding cakes to masterful themed creations, this bakery does it all.

Services Offered

The cakes and desserts at Ruthann’s Gourmet Bakery are created using local ingredients and, when necessary, fresh fruit. Couples meet with bakers for consultations and private tastings to determine exactly what they want in their wedding cake. The bakers also create custom designs for couples so that no two wedding cakes are the same. On the day of the wedding the team helps with delivery and setup, providing cake stands to display the decadent dessert. Delicious cake!

Family made cupcakes, but Ruthann crafted our main cake for the wedding -- delicious! Caramel macchiato cake designed like a birch tree was perfect for us!

Nothing leftover by the end of the night!

Ruthann went above and beyond for us! Our wedding was a month ago and everyone is STILL talking about how fantastic our cupcakes and cake were. We got a variety of flavors so there was something for everyone (try her lemon cake. You won't be dissapointed.) Do your taste buds a favor and stop into her bakery. I promise you, she is worth it!!

All desserts were gone by the end of the night!

Wow, wow, wow. Ruthann’s desserts are delicious! I picked Ruthann’s Gourmet Bakery for our wedding dessert display through a recommendation from our caterer. I’m from Los Angeles, so let’s just say I was just choosing in the dark because I couldn’t fly out to do a taste test of the desserts. But I trusted my gut and I’m so glad I did! We ordered 300 dessert items for our display--mini cupcakes including a gluten-free version, cookies, and brownies--and they were GONE by the end of the night. Her ingredients are so fresh and you can tell that it’s really made with love. Also, Ruthann was the absolute best to work with during the planning process. I can’t thank her enough!

Cupcakes and cake

Ruthann’s bakery made our cake and our cupcakes for our castle farms wedding. Everyone is still raving about how good the cupcakes were and how awesome our cake turned out. We will definitely be stopping in to get cupcakes every time we are up north!

Everyone raved about the cake! It was awesome! We also got Michigan cookies to give to our guests and they were a hit!! The cake was absolutely perfect!

I absolutely loved our wedding cake from Ruthie! I heard nothing but amazing compliments from others about the cake and cupcakes as well. Her work is beautiful and she is always so professional. Her cakes not only taste amazing, but you can tell her heart goes into designing your perfect cake! She loves to bake! Would highly recommend her for any event. Can't wait to eat my top layer...I have a feeling it will be eaten before our first anniversary :).

I'm very picky about cake and my wife is very picky about frosting. We looked for a while before we found a baker that we were both happy with, but we were both very happy with Ruthann's cake! And beyond that, she was great to work with and very helpful with flavor combinations and final selections. We're looking forward to having Ruthie do cakes for us in the future, even though we'll have to drive a few hours to do so! :)

What can't I say about this cake and cupcakes? Amazing does not begin to describe the beauty or the flavor. Everyone at my wedding said they have never seen anything so beautiful or taste that great! There is no other cake baker that I would ever deal with in the Charlevoix area!

Our wedding cake from Ruthann's was AMAZING - the best I've ever had. Chocolate hazelnut was to-die-for and the lemon raspberry (with fresh fruit!!) was spectacular as well. The cake was beautiful and Ruthie is a joy to work with. She's kind and accommodating and helped us figure out exactly what to order given our guest count and budget. We loved our cute state-of-Michigan themed cookie favors!

My husband and I loved the cake and cupcakes that Ruthann created for our wedding! We went in to a tasting and emailed her pictures of what we wanted for the cake afterwards, and our choices of flavors. She was very willing to work with us being out of state, which is essential since we couldn't just drive into the shop and speak with her. Also, she was very warm, welcoming and accommodating with our needs. We just left some flowers, Grandmother's cake topper and crates on the table and she worked her magic to make our desert table look beautiful. Our guests complimented the desert table all night long- the decoration and the taste! Definitely a good company to work with!
