Russel and his team were super down to earth, easy to work with and matched the vision we desired for our special day. Knowing his quality of work it was a no brainer to fly him out from San Diego to San Francisco. We have already received our Instagram Teaser and it was edited to perfection and captured all the elements of our wedding. We really loved working with Russell John Films for our wedding. Everything from the intake meeting, to the day-of, and after-the-fact. This team is super great to work with--they delivered superb footage; and we loved the team. Our lead shooter was Gino, and he was a total pleasure to work with. He was kind, got all the shots, and he added (instead of took away from) the festivities. We really loved the color grading, the editing of all of the film, and the digital frame they delivered to us once everything was done. Russell and Mia were awesome to work with on our wedding day! Russell was the lead shooter and he was a calm presence who did an excellent job of making it feel like no one was there filming you. My husband and I are a bit camera shy so this was really nice :) We are so excited to see our teaser video and to have access to all of our footage to experience our big day in the future again. Russell John Films offered the exact style of video we were looking for and their experience with multi-cultural weddings was a huge plus! It was important to my husband and I that each event was covered fully and that our wedding highlight and videos included an equal proportion of the Indian and Western/American events. They did exactly this and we are in AWE over our wedding highlight and teaser. We had a wonderful team led by Sergio and they worked very well alongside our photographers with no issues at any of the events. Their team was on time each day and after watching the footage they sent us, they truly didn’t miss a thing, even getting beautiful drone shots of downtown near our venue! Let me start by saying that I’m a photographer, perfectionist, and hopeless romantic - so you can imagine that I searched high and low before deciding on a videographer for my wedding. :)

I would highly recommend Russell John Films. Russell is an extremely talented videographer, produces high quality work, and created the most beautiful video for us to remember our special day and cherish forever. Brandon is personable, super friendly, and very communicative as he handles the front-end communication with you leading up to the day (and also helped film on our wedding day!).

On our wedding day, both Russell and Brandon made me feel comfortable, relaxed, beautiful, and confident in the work they were doing - and seriously, that’s priceless.

When I was planning my wedding, I knew two things: one, I wanted a videographer, and two, I had no idea how to pick one. Fortunately, I had friend who was a film major. As we looked around, she really liked the style of Russell John Films - their videos told a story, instead of being a “moving wedding slideshow.” I took her advice, and I’m so glad I did!

Brandon handled the logistics, and Russ was our lead shooter. Russ and his second shooter worked seamlessly with our photographer on the day of the wedding. When we received our cinematic highlight, I was really blown away by the color correction. I heard from my friend about the important of color correction in setting the tone and mood of a video, but I didn’t quite understand until I saw it. Our wedding had very bold colors, and the resulting video was so rich and vibrant, it really matched the aesthetic. In addition, the way they interspersed the vows and the footage really told a coherent story. In layman’s terms, they made a movie that looked like a DC film but told a Marvel story.

I will say I had to reach out a couple of times when a video was about a week late, but they always responded promptly to my inquiries, and the deliverables were really not that far off from the contracted due date. We’re so pleased by the finished product, and I highly recommend choosing them for your wedding!

100% worth the investment! They do an incredible job! I wasn't even sure if I wanted a videographer for my wedding however after reading some posts about other brides wishing they had gotten video I started researching vendors. I found Russell John Films and absolutely fell in love with their work. They were a little out of budget for us but I'm SO happy I sprung for their services because our video turned out perfect! Not to mention it was easy and fun to work with Russell. He got all the perfect moments and I hardly noticed that I was being video the entire night. 10/10 would recommend!
