As we were looking for a videographer that was the best in the industry we often heard about Russel John Films. He was specifically recommended by a few family members where he did a phenomenal job. Russel and his team were super down to earth, easy to work with and matched the vision we desired for our special day. Knowing his quality of work it was a no brainer to fly him out from San Diego to San Francisco. We have already received our Instagram Teaser and it was edited to perfection and captured all the elements of our wedding. Communication was excellent throughout the process and also was receptive to all feedback. If you’re looking for the best, do yourself a favor and hire Russel John Films.Russell John Films's reply:

The Russell John team was spectacular. We decided we wanted a dedicated videographer to focus on capturing our special day and are so thankful in making the choice to go with this team. Russell was the lead shooter and was with us from the early stages of wedding planning to make sure we had all our questions and wishes addressed. Their team was extremely professional and kind, giving us confidence that we would be well taken care of. On the day of, Russ and Jeremy were very fun to work with and captured some awesome footage - we have already received our Instagram teaser and love it! Russell John Films offered the exact style of video we were looking for and their experience with multi-cultural weddings was a huge plus! It was important to my husband and I that each event was covered fully and that our wedding highlight and videos included an equal proportion of the Indian and Western/American events. They did exactly this and we are in AWE over our wedding highlight and teaser. We had a wonderful team led by Sergio and they worked very well alongside our photographers with no issues at any of the events. Their team was on time each day and after watching the footage they sent us, they truly didn’t miss a thing, even getting beautiful drone shots of downtown near our venue! We have already recommended to family and friends to go with Russell John Films, and I truly could not recommend them enough. They are professional, detail oriented, and an absolute pleasure to have on your vendor team.Russell John Films's reply:

When I was planning my wedding, I knew two things: one, I wanted a videographer, and two, I had no idea how to pick one. Fortunately, I had friend who was a film major. As we looked around, she really liked the style of Russell John Films - their videos told a story, instead of being a “moving wedding slideshow.” I took her advice, and I’m so glad I did!
Brandon handled the logistics, and Russ was our lead shooter. Russ and his second shooter worked seamlessly with our photographer on the day of the wedding. When we received our cinematic highlight, I was really blown away by the color correction. I heard from my friend about the important of color correction in setting the tone and mood of a video, but I didn’t quite understand until I saw it. Our wedding had very bold colors, and the resulting video was so rich and vibrant, it really matched the aesthetic. In addition, the way they interspersed the vows and the footage really told a coherent story. In layman’s terms, they made a movie that looked like a DC film but told a Marvel story.
I will say I had to reach out a couple of times when a video was about a week late, but they always responded promptly to my inquiries, and the deliverables were really not that far off from the contracted due date. We’re so pleased by the finished product, and I highly recommend choosing them for your wedding!

I'm happy to say that they did not disappoint me at all. They were by far my favorite vendor.... The cinematic highlights trailer has been just so beautiful and and I can't wait to see the full video. You can't go wrong with Russell and his team!!!! -
User1367715 Sent on 10/07/2013Watching their videos online of people I do not even know makes me tear up. I truly love these guys and so does my husband. From the moment we walked in their office, we were beyond excited to work with them. We hadn't even signed papers yet, but Russell and Brandon did such a phenomenal job of walking us through different contracts and even helping us decide on one. They are very professional and really easy to get along with. On the wedding day, they arrived on time, made everything feel very natural and at ease. I recommend them to anyone and everyone. Having them really made the wedding great. I cannot wait to see what they put together.

We were dead set on having a videographer, but many of the other companies we had seen were way out of our budget (cue sad trombone) Russell was recommended by our wedding coordinator and we were blown away by his portfolio and his affordable packages. We had our initial meeting over the phone and then worked over email with the team to make all of our arrangements. When the big day came Russell and his team blended in (many people didn't even know they were there!) and captured our day beautifully. Our family loved the cinematic trailer and couldn't wait for the feature film. We made some minor adjustments to the preview the team of the feature and they were really response and quick to make the changes. We couldn't be happier with the service they provided and would totally recommend them to any San Diego brides and grooms. -

Kendra Sent on 02/16/2012It has been almost 4 months since our wedding and we are still waiting to get the final video. But based on rough-copy they sent 2 months ago, the quality is good.
Just very disappointed that they have not stuck to getting us things in a timely manner.
