Cathy is AWESOME. My partner and I were married by her this past April. I come from a UU background and wanted a ceremony that focused on partnership etc vs. a religious ceremony. My partner comes from an RC background and I didn't want the ceremony to be so unusual that it was offputting to his family.
Cathy did an amazing job of helping guide us through some sample ceremonies to try and get a format that felt right for us. We picked a couple readings and we did a joint plant-watering of a hydrangea we are planting in our backyard.
I highly recommend Cathy- she has an excellent sense of humor and is a wealth of knowledge and ideas. She was so great to work with- she kept us on track without seeming to crack the whip. She asked some really thought-provoking questions about our partnership, strengths and areas that need work. Good food for thought.
I had rave reviews from our guests about the ceremony- from religious folks to not-at-all spiritual, Cathy crafted something that seemed to appeal to everyone. It definitely felt like a great fit for us, and we are so thankful we found her!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Rev. Cathy! My now husband and I had been so nervous about finding someone to officiate our wedding. We were worried that we would never find someone that was the right fit. We happened to be at a public forum and heard Cathy speak about an important town issue and based on her thoughtful comments I went over and asked if she performed wedding ceremonies. She agreed to sit down with us and talk about what we were looking for and we knew right away she would be perfect for us. From the very beginning she was incredibly warm and friendly. Rev. Cathy really listened to us and it was clear that she wanted us to have a ceremony that reflected our beliefs and relationship. She was incredibly helpful in offering us suggestions about designing our ceremony without being pushy or overstepping. For example, my husband has three children from a previous marriage and Cathy made sure they were totally included in our ceremony. She was always professional and organized and was a particularly calming presence during the rehearsal and on the day of the wedding. Thanks to Rev. Cathy our ceremony was everything my husband and I had dreamed of. We are still receiving compliments about how touching and meaningful our ceremony was. When we renew our vows we will definitely be contacting Rev. Cathy!
