Photography was one of the most important considerations in our wedding planning, and my husband and I began our search for the perfect wedding photographer immediately after selecting our venue. We searched through scores of portfolios, but when we came across Pete and Courtney's website, we knew immediately they were in a league of their own. Their style was rich with color and brimming with candid, real moments. Despite over a 250 mile distance between their upstate New York basecamp and our wedding venue on Cape Cod, they agreed to join us as our photographers.

What ensued over the next 16 months of wedding preparation was the kindest, most thoughtful and most professional treatment we received from any vendors during our wedding planning (we had over 15 vendors!). Pete and Courtney's care for us throughout the preparation and the wedding itself felt like friendship. They got to know us, congratulated us, sent us gifts, calmed our nerves on the big day.

This process of care resulted in photographs that truly reflected us as a couple and surpassed all of our expectations. Our photographs are simply beautiful. Over the last four months since our wedding, my husband and I have looked and looked and relooked at every single image Pete and Courtney shot and curated for us tens of thousands of times. There is an incredible range represented in what they've given us - from the deeply colorful formal portraits to whimsical environmental shots that encapsulate what it really felt like to be there on our wedding day. There is no artificial gloss or veneer to these photographs - they are beautifully honest, attentive and joyful.

It is clear from their photography that Pete and Courtney share a deep sensitivity and that they were feeling their way through not only photographing our wedding but curating our images to the final collection. We feel truly blessed that we discovered Pete and Courtney and that they agreed to travel to share our wedding day with us!

Courtney and Pete made us feel comfortable from the first frame with their charm and humor, and were able to capture some truly special moments between my husband and me (I didn't even know they were photographing us for some of them)! While their aesthetic is a perfect blend of modern, hipster and cool, they keep the core photography fundamentals of good light and interesting composition in mind so I know our photos will be timeless!

We have *** loved *** working with Courtney and Pete. We found them online and saw examples of their photography, and immediately knew we wanted to book them for our wedding. We met them a few months back for our "engagement" photo shoot, which was so much fun! We had asked them to suggest a location that was outdoors-y and they picked a great spot near the Lake George area called Clay Meadow. It was a beautiful space, and we instantly hit it off with them. They are super laid back people and fun and relaxing to be around (which is exactly what you want on your wedding day). It felt like we had known them for a long time, and when they came to photograph our wedding it felt like they were friends who were there because we liked them and invited them (rather than coming as wedding vendors). We loved the photos they sent us of the engagement, and they used the feedback we gave them to have a better sense of what we wanted for the wedding day. Within a few days of the wedding, they sent a preview and we LOVED it! They are very talented and creative people, and I can't wait to see the other photos when they are ready. We would recommend them to anyone!!! GREAT experience!!!!
