How do you make a wedding more fun, hire a talented group of music professionals who will uplift any gathering! Our re-scheduled 3 times wedding was now a Covid safe small family affair, so we gifted and surprised the less than 30 person wedding with "Parlor Noir", we came from Texas for our Son's wedding and boy they did not disappoint, they surprised everyone with a walking entrance (New Orleans 5th Line style) playing awesome trad jazz, this awoke our joyous gathering and took it to another level of celebration and dancing entertainment. Fast Songs, slow romantic songs, even the exceptional modern pop song done Trad Jazz style. This band is a must! If we ever gather back near Philly (son lives in Baltimore) I would hire them again just for a summers day party!

We hired Parlour Noir to play our pre-ceremony, ceremony, and cocktail hour for our October 2023 wedding and they were incredible! From the time we booked them for the wedding, they were committed to making sure they played music that reflected us. We had multiple calls and emails before the event to discuss our preferences and they even learned a few songs outside their normal setlist specifically for our event. During cocktail hour, they moved around the space so that nearly everyone got a mini private concert while they had drinks and appetizers. I'm just sorry I didn't get to hear more of their music during the wedding (it was a busy day!). Having the live band made our wedding unique and these guys really know how to work a crowd!

I can't say enough wonderful things abour Parlour Noir. We had our wedding at a local distillery, and we wanted the music to match the intimate vibe. Parlour Noir was a crucial part of how special the day was. Live music alone is amazing, but the swing/jazz genre was so much different than many other weddings I've been to. They kept it fun and the dance floor full for the full evening, and even walked through the crowd playing their instruments, which was such a blast. They are all incredible musicians, I can still hardly believe I was lucky enough to have them play at my wedding. Not only was the music fantastic, but they were all so lovely to work with, from start to finish. I communicated with Adam, who is such a doll. He is incredibly responsive, and flexible. I had to move up my wedding date by several months due to a family illness, and he was incredibly kind and accommodating. I think it's really neat that you can customize the band, from 3-10 pieces, and they each play multiple different instruments. I had a great phone call with Adam to talk through the process, what kind of sound we wanted, and he suggested which instruments to go with. They showed up early, and were very flexible in switching spots with the ceremony DJ, which made the party seamless. So many guests commented that the music was incredible, and made the evening truly special. Do not hesitate to hire Parlour Noir for your event, they will make it a night to remember!

Booking Parlour Noir was the moment for us that felt like we really had a wedding. The band was communicative through email and phone calls from the first point of contact. These conversations gave us so much peace of mind amongst the other wedding stresses and variables. The only thing for us to do was to practice our swing dancing steps in anticipation of our big day. All of the members of Parlour Noir are true musicians - “players.” Improvisation and dynamics are often overlooked in the role of a band at a wedding and the players in Parlour Noir have these vital skills in spades. Parlour Noir’s jazz sensibilities saw the band softening their volume during tender moments and turning up the energy when the dance floor needed a boost across multiple sets throughout our reception. They brought their unique style to each table by moving throughout the venue with their instruments, and even used one of their dance sets to show our guests some swing dancing moves! We asked them to stay for a drink at our after party and by the time the night was over, they all felt like friends. There is no doubt that Parlour Noir was a hit with our guests and a highlight of the reception. But what we find most special about having had Parlour Noir at our wedding is the fact that we can hear them again and again long after we said “I do.” Whenever we see they are playing a gig, we go out of our way to see them just so we can relive the magic they brought to our wedding!

My (now) wife & I hired the band for our wedding this past weekend (3 piece setup) and the band was Amazing!

We had them play the ceremony & cocktail hour, which everyone raved about! Each of the band members truly put on a show that kept the guests engaged, dancing, and simply soaking in the ambiance.

Finally, they were easy to communicate with, and connected with the coordinator relieving us of a little less stress. Overall Dynamite experience!!!

My wife and I knew Parlour Noir from swing dancing circles, but all our guests loved their performance, and more than a few guests who claimed to have "two left feet" found themselves absolutely enjoying the dance floor! An amazing, lively band that will excite and entertain everyone!

These guys put on a phenomenal live show! Our venue said its the best live music they've had on the property in years, and had already added Parlour Noir to their recommended vendor list by the time we left. The band was communicative and flexible throughout the planning and booking process. They were so friendly, and our guests enjoyed chatting with them between sets. We will be seeking out another opportunity to see them play as soon as we can!

We loved every note of music. The swing tunes were the perfect match for our evening, playing off of the day's spontaneous joy. Parlor Noir added a wonderful, classy element to our dancing and couldn't be easier to work with. 5 stars!!!

We just booked Parlous Noir for our October 2022 wedding (so I can't yet speak to their performance, though my fiance and I went to see them play live over the weekend and they were every bit as entertaining and energizing as their videos show!). I decided to write a review now because I am just astounded at how professional, responsive, and flexible Adam has been through the whole process of figuring out what we want to do. He and Paul (clarinet) seem genuinely excited to figure out how to make our wedding a really creative and memorable event!! I can't recommend them highly enough- so easy to work with, and SO TALENTED!! They can literally play anything.

It was such a joyous occasion with the right music. Our wedding reception needed that something special and we found it with Parlour Noir. Love you guys!
