Our journey with Christman Photo started back in 2021 when we had our engagement session. From the start they were amazing to work with. Patient, creative, inquisitive and just fun to be around; they made our session so enjoyable. My now wife and I are easy going people and did not have much in the way of photo or location ideas for our engagement session. But from our survey answers Preston and Laurette were able to create an amazing session that gave us both romantic and fun photos to reflect our engagement on. On that day, we did not just solidify our choice in wedding photographers, but as some new friends as well. They were so easy to work and talk with, that it seemed as if we knew them from some time.

Jumping to our wedding in Nov 2022, we had the same amazing experience with Christman Photography. From the start of the day to the sparkler exit, Preston and Laurette were professional, timely, creative and most importantly, showed interest and drive for their work. We had some ideas for photos throughout the day, and Preston delivered, but we also had rain, which means a good portion of our ideas would not happen. Here is where you want to make sure you have a professional doing your photos; Preston and Laurette had creative ideas in mind, and all we needed to do was trust them. Let me tell you, the rain photo they captured is one of my wifes and my favorites!! We would not have been able to think of that photo at all, and are so glad that Christman Photography is so dedicated to their craft!

But their professionalism and creativity doesn't stop there; we opted to get an album from them as well. They curated a story in photo form. From the start of the day, right down to the exit; our wedding is now immortalized in a gorgeous album that we cannot stop showing off.

We absolutely loved our experience with Christman Photography and would highly recommend them to anyone who wants a personal, professional, and unforgettable photo experience.

Where to begin…the winter of 2020. I got engaged and out of nowhere I was throwing our names around to win an engagement session giveaway with any photographer (it was around Christmas time hence the reasoning for the giveaways). Then one morning my mother-in-law sent me a Facebook engagement session giveaway with Christman Photography. I read the recommendations and all I had to do was tell my husband and I’s story. So that is what I did and within the next couple of days we had a zoom meeting with Preston Christman. We got to know each other and everything Christman photography had to offer, and we were one in many people who put our names in for this giveaway, so we thought there was no chance we were winning. But we watched the live feed of Preston and his wife Laurette announcing the winners of the giveaway and we were selected. We were so excited to being able to work with such a fun person from the first encounter we had with Preston over zoom.

We ended up having our engagement session on October 2021 at Lockridge Park. We have never been to this park before, but I wanted a fall themed engagement session, so I trusted Preston Christman with giving me a couple options to pick from and I was stunned with how these pictures turned out. Anyways on first official in person encounter, Preston and Laurette were warm and welcoming people. Throughout the engagement session we had many laughs with our dog Max, leaves being thrown, Preston getting his butt wet for the perfect picture, and even Preston helping Bryce by holding his hand and teaching him how to hip bump and swing, you had to be there. We had such a blast and once we got a preview of our pictures, I knew right away that I wanted to book them for our wedding. Even after looking through Christman Photography on Facebook and Instagram it just made me feel even more confident about picking them to capture our big day. So, I made sure to secure my spot with them for September 2, 2023, since I knew if I didn’t secure our date sooner than later, I might have missed our chance and I’m glad I did not!

Now was the fun part planning how our wedding day would be planned out. We had a one-on-one phone call with Preston and Laurette to discuss the time frame of our wedding to make sure we captured everything we wanted to for our special day. We were able to plan everything the way we both pictured it and the photos at the end did not disappoint and it was planned and captured above our expectations. Before, during and after the ceremony the pictures that were captured seem magical and don’t seem real, they are breathtaking. From the pictures at our houses with family and friends to the church ceremony and the many people that came to celebrate with us. Then the pictures taken in Centralia, PA and at the Cardinal Brenan school grounds make it seem like these places are not even real and they just blow us away. We had so much fun dancing the night away and even had our special last dance together captured forever in picture.

Next on our wedding adventure with Christman Photography was planning our wedding album. We thankfully had a couple weeks to look through the pictures and know what we wanted in our album. So, we took our trip to Preston and Laurette’s studio where they had our album pre-made through the computer and took us on our journey through it via slide show with our first dance song in the background which made me a bit teary eyed reliving the moments shown on the screen. Afterwards we were able to customize the album how we wanted by removing and adding pictures along with the placement of pictures which makes it bittersweet that we can create our album how we want together with Preston and Laurette. We even got to customize everything from the cover to the color and all. When all was said and done, we decided to go back down to their studio to pick up our album in person. We were blown away by how incredible it turned out. Overall, I am so happy we decided to use Christman Photography for our engagement and wedding journey and hope they will come along for the ride for many more sentimental moments we have throughout the years. The Christman's were more than just photographers for us. They helped in building the excitement for our special day before, during, and after the event. They spent time with us, got to know who we were as a couple, and will make sure to reminded us that the process should be fun and enjoyable more than anything. During our wedding, they were a large source of our joy and among rush of the day's events, they often pulled us aside for little photo ops where we could just focus on one another. In many ways, those little respites for pictures were some of our happiest memories of our wedding and it would not have been the same had they not been part of the day. When all was said and done, we felt like we had friends with us and not just photographers. They have an amazing eye for good photos. We've gotten many compliments on how beautiful the wedding photos turned out. Our wedding album is beautiful and we have many photos that bring us back to how we felt that day to enjoy for a lifetime. We would easily recommend the Christman's for anybody looking for high quality wedding photos, fun and stress free photo sessions, and adding personalities whom bring light and joy to your special wedding day!

Christman photography went above and beyond, not only on our wedding day, but with any other encounter we had with them.
They made us feel so at ease and comfortable the day of our wedding. They made it fun and they also joined in on the fun, which made it even better! My family had nothing but good things to say about them!

When I started wedding planning I listened to the "Put A Ring On it" podcast quite a bit, which recommending a few things about wedding photographers: 1. Find someone whose photos you like (check). 2. Find someone who you get along with personally, since you spend A LOT of time with them on your wedding day (check). 3. As with all your vendors, try to find someone who will take care of you on your big day, giving you less to worry about (check).
Preston and Laurette of Christman Photography checked all of those boxes and delivered an experience we will be able to remember for the rest of our lives. They were incredibly professional and responsive, but also willing to joke with us and have fun! As a team, they are creative and incredibly good at what they do. We were blown away by the 40 preview photos we received the very next day after our wedding: we can't wait for our entire portfolio and album! We cannot recommend them highly enough and will be going back to them for any other photography needs in the future!

Laurette and Preston are not only two of the best people, but two of the best photographers. Without them, our engagement shoot and wedding photos would not have been as amazing. Since the start, their communication with my husband and I as clients was meticulous and thorough; there were hardly any additional questions we ever had. The Christmans have the ability to empathize with their couples, as they are one themselves. They do not hesitate to model how they want you to pose, and they add humor to make you feel more comfortable. This is easier to comprehend when it comes from a professional couple who also love each other and have endured the wedding experience themselves. To our surprise, they also took candids and portraits of many of our guests at our wedding, and it not only made our guests feel acknowledged by the photographers, it was also great to look at since we didn't interact with everyone at every minute. Needless to say, our guests also still talk about how great our photographers were, yet I cannot recall any photographers from other weddings I've attended (lol). These two are not the type of photographers that make you feel like you're in the way or obstructing their view. They will go to great lengths to get the shot, no matter the position they need to get into. At our engagement shoot, Preston was on crutches, and though he didn't need to, he still brought in an additional photographer to make sure the shots were perfect. Our guests and bridal parties still rave about how wonderful our photographers were because they were professional but still involved themselves into the fun of our wedding process and day; they let us be us, but they didn't make it solely about us- they understood how much everyone around us also meant. There are many candids of Laurette and Preston and the videographer in our wedding gallery, and they're hysterical. They would dance with the guests, laugh with us, help to fix my bustle when my bridesmaids weren't readily available, and even held a restless baby, so mom could be in the shot. Laurette and Preston are personable and joyous individuals who are adaptable and competent; they are truly dedicated to you as their clients and friends. My husband and I cannot recommend them enough to our friends, family, and now you (the internet world); we're so thankful to have met them and feel like we've made new friends for life!
