About
Welcome to The Pump House—an artistic, nature-filled wedding venue tucked away on 85 private acres in the Pennsylvania woods. Here, love is celebrated in slow moments, starry skies, and creative spaces filled with meaning.
Imagine arriving on a Friday to your own forested retreat. Your closest friends and family settle into handmade cabins, tiny houses, and cottages. Laughter echoes between trees. The creek glistens nearby. You have the weekend to breathe, connect, and celebrate. At The Pump House, weddings aren’t rushed—they’re rooted.
Our venue blends rustic textures, reclaimed materials, and industrial beauty, all shaped by the hands of artists. With two unique indoor spaces—Brick Hall and Studio Hall—and countless outdoor ceremony locations under the trees or beside the water, your wedding can reflect your exact vision, from elegant to eclectic.
We specialize in full-weekend weddings, with lodging for up to 30 guests onsite. The Manifold House, a converted historic valve control room, is now our honeymoon suite—a romantic, window-filled cottage with a handmade tile shower and woodstove. Nearby, the Alden River House offers even more room for friends and family, just a short walk away. Breakfast is available each morning—homemade, seasonal, and served with love.
Couples choose The Pump House for many reasons: the privacy, the natural beauty, the flexible vendor policy, the warm and welcoming team. But they return, again and again, for how it feels. It’s hard to describe until you’re here. There’s a stillness that settles in the woods. A magic in the filtered light. A sense that this place remembers every wedding it has ever hosted—and holds space for yours, too.
Whether you’re planning an intimate micro-wedding, a romantic elopement, or a joyful full-weekend celebration, we provide the canvas for your vision. Guests can explore forest trails, gather around the fire pit, or sit beside the Catawissa Creek. You can dance beneath market lights, toast under the stars, and sleep surrounded by trees.
We’re proud to be a sustainable wedding venue—offering recycling, reusable dishware, and support for low-impact celebrations. Our team is small but mighty, and we’re deeply involved in every part of your experience.
When you book The Pump House, you’re not just getting a venue. You’re getting a team of people who care. You’re getting an escape from the noise. You’re getting a place where art, nature, and love come together—a place that truly feels like home.
Let’s walk the land together. Schedule a tour today, and let the story of your wedding begin.

Reviews of Pump House Weddings and B & B
Professional Network & Endorsements
This is one of the most beautiful and unique settings I've ever been to. And the owners are kind, helpful and professional. If you want a rustic, beautiful and tasteful setting for your wedding I can't recommend it too highly!
Pump House is an amazing venue and one of our favorite's to photograph weddings at! Doug & Marika are the sweetest owners and ensure everything is all in place for your special day! There are so many unique touches to each of the spots around the venue and you can tell much time & thought was put into it! My personal favorite is when the couple gets to dance the night away under the twinkling lights in the brick barn! Or when the ceremony is in the woods and you can hear the babbling creek in the background! So excited to be photographing more weddings there soon! :)
