Judy and Vanda were amazing!! I originally went with On Location Bridal in part because I had read several reviews that Judy works with your naturally curly hair - and that was definitely true! Judy and Vanda conquered both hair and makeup for me and my bridesmaids on my wedding day and did a phenomenal job. They listened to our requests (and had ideas and expertise of their own) and everything came out SO beautifully. It's clear that they are both so experienced and professional. They were a pleasure to work with the entire process - in the booking stages, the hair and makeup trial (really appreciate Judy getting both her and Vanda there for the trial since I had expressed interest in that) and the wedding day. They were easy to talk to and laid back, making for a calming and fun getting ready process on wedding morning. Vanda helped out one of my bridesmaids who chose to do her own makeup and was struggling, which was much appreciated. Loved my experience working with them and would recommend them to anyone for their wedding day hair and makeup!

My partner (he/they) and I (she/her) hired Judy (& crew) to do the hair & makeup for our entire wedding party and ourselves. 8 people total, and every possible gender expression imaginable. She was flexible and understanding and worked with each person respectfully and did a great job on everyone. During the consultation process she also asked in the most tactful way possible if anyone needed to cover stubble with makeup - while the answer was no, I really appreciate that she was thinking ahead to ensuring a positive expression of folk's gender identity.
She was also great with my mostly hopeless self where I was like - I never do anything fancy with my hair, I'm going for roughly forest goddess vibe. She picked up what I was getting at even with my limited guidance or ideas and did an excellent job.

Judy did an amazing job with my wedding day hair! She created an absolutely beautiful up-do that I loved and stayed put through all of the wind during our ceremony (and dancing that night!). She was so fun to work with. Thank you, Judy!!

I had both a trial and wedding day hair/makeup. We also had 3 other services on my bridesmaids and mother in law. All of our hair and makeup were beautifully done and held up all evening. I couldn’t have imagined I would feel that pretty but Judy sure did make me feel like a princess.

I had such a great and fun time working with Judy! She took the time to travel for my hair trial. She took her time to find the perfect spot for my bird cage veil! We talked about what I had in mind and she went with it - incorporating my personality into my hairstyle. On the day itself, she was so punctual, waiting for our arrival, ready to go!
She took the time and effort to curl my hair in small bunches so they last longer. You can tell she is passionate and takes pride in her work! She did such a great job with my bridesmaid’s curly hair - she could not stop raving about it and how Judy works magic with curly hair. Judy had such a calming and fun presence in our bridal suite. "Organic" was the word I came up with when my wedding planner asked me what I was looking for in a makeup artist, and I couldn't have been more lucky when she recommended Judy and her team. Judy has a special talent for highlighting your best features and enhancing your natural beauty in a way that looks fabulous in photography without looking overdone in real life. She also has a gift for artfully improvising on the fly - we bought some crystal pins that we didn't think we would ultimately use for my hair, and Judy turned them into a stunning arrangement around my bun. She and her team worked very efficiently on the day of our wedding, and kept my mother, bridesmaids, and I laughing throughout the whole morning. Judy was such a delight to work with, and I couldn't recommend her more!

I have naturally textured, curly hair and it was important to me to wear it curly on my wedding day to feel like myself. Judy and I discussed this in our first interaction and she completely understood the assignment. I've had my hair styled for many formal events (to varying degrees of success) but Judy completely knocked it out of the park. Both at my hair trial and day-of she worked to create the best possible version of my curls, while still keeping the "me" feeling intact and battling Virginia humidy! Her and her assistant, Vanda, were joys to have around while we all got ready. They expertly did hair for 3 bridesmaids and 2 moms, well in time for pictures. On a personal note, Judy+team are uniquely kind people. I felt completely at ease around them, and they brought so much fun to the day. If you're on the fence, let this be your sign to book Judy!

Working with Judy was such a wonderful experience. No words can possibly express how much I loved working with Judy, how excellent her work was, and how easy, enjoyable, and stress-free she made my experience. As a person who is also in the service industry, I can only hope my clients receive half the service that Judy gave to me; this is the highest compliment that I could possibly give.

I did a hair and makeup trial, which was so much fun and helped to finalize some of the touches that I wanted to have the day of. It lasted about 3 hours, and we had the opportunity to talk through the look I was hoping to achieve as well as give it a try to variations to see if I liked something different a bit better. On the day of, my finished touches were so beyond what I could have expected. As an older bride (late 30s), I had a lot of anxiety about my appearance and hoped to look a bit like my younger self (but also appropriate!). I really felt like Judy helped me to look SO beautiful, exactly as I had always hoped to look on my wedding day. I also had my bridesmaids and mother get their hair and makeup done (with the help of Judy's assistant Vanda), and we all looked spectacular. They arrived on site, and were so well organized. They built in additional time in case we wanted to add additional services (a couple of my bridesmaids got spray on makeup last minute), and still finished well within our budgeted time without sacrificing ANY quality.

I just cannot say enough about my experience with Judy. I am so thoroughly pleased, and I would hire her again a million times over (and probably will for upcoming weddings of family members). I absolutely loved working with her. Thank you, Judy, so so much!!!!!!!

Judy and her team were an absolute pleasure to work with! Typical for a bride in 2020, we had to reschedule our celebration multiple times and Judy stuck with us along the way as we navigated through the uncharted waters of planning a wedding during a global pandemic. Ultimately, we rescheduled our celebration for June 2021 and had a large bridal party of 11 bridesmaids who all required hair and makeup. Judy and her team were incredibly efficient and did an amazing job on everyone’s hair and makeup. Everyone was very pleased with their glam for the big day and everyone’s lasted throughout the night! Judy and her team kept everyone’s looks natural while still looking amazing in photos. I would absolutely recommend Judy and her team for your big day - especially if you have a larger bridal party!
