I am 100% confident that our wedding would not have been the wedding it was without Danielle. First of all, she is a very kind and supportive person. She understands how stressful wedding planning can be and she supports you through it all. She has wonderful connections within the industry to make sure you are working with vendors that fit your style and your budget. Danielle is so organized and keeps you organized as well. She is so responsive, you can email her or text her a literally any hour and she will get back to you within 24 hours and if its a "planning emergency" she will be calling you ASAP. She really makes planning a wedding an enjoyable experience. Danielle will not only flawlessly plan your wedding but she will make sure that your wedding day is absolutely a dream. There were very few issues on our wedding day because during the planning process Danielle had thought of it all, but I did have an issue with my flowers. They weren't as I envisioned them. I didnt even say a word to Danielle, but she saw the look on my face and knew I wasnt thrilled and she called the florist, had the bouquets re-created and she did it all without me ever even knowing!! She really is the total package. Danielle also coordinates everything with your family and bridal party on day of, so all you have to do is be excited about your wedding day!!! If you are looking for a planner for full planning or day of or even month of she is your girl!!

We were lucky enough to have Sonya as our day-of coordinator for our wedding back in January 2026. She was an absolute JOY to work with. She was so nice, so calm, sohelpful, so organized. We knew she was going to be great from our initial meeting 3 months before our wedding date, she was so friendly and organized and didn't skip any detail. Over the next 3 months she was so on top of it - she handled all of our vendor contracts & communications, she really was our advocate! The weekend of our wedding, Sonya was ahead of every problem before it even became a problem! We had the most seamless wedding day. (Ohana also has an amazing wedding timeline website that they create and share with your immediate family & bridal parties so everyone has access and is on the same page - it was awesome.) Sonya went above and beyond, she went out of her way to be so helpful in every situation (including driving out of her way to get something I forgot!). The best part of Sonya as our wedding planner was that she was such a genuine, nice, normal person who you could tell was down-to-earth and just happy to help us on our day. And she let us focus on our day, handled everything behind the scenes without us even knowing, and only came to chat with us when she needed to, she was like a background magician. I have been telling all my friends who are getting married: I LITERALLY could not have done it without a day-of coordinator. Your wedding day is meant for you to enjoy, not be planning or coordinating or paying attention to logistics. Ohana Events was THE ABSOLUTE BEST THING we had for our wedding day, because it allowed us to maximize our enjoyment of the most important day of our lives! I cannot recommend Ohana enough!

We worked with Jenna at Ohana and could not be happier with our decision! Jenna was excellent to work with, very organized, and it always felt like she was a step ahead throughout the process. We chose the partial planning option, and she was incredibly helpful throughout the vendor selection and planning process. Ohana Events absolutely blew us away with the amazing service they provided! We have not gone to a lot of weddings before so my husband and I needed a lot of help understanding what all goes into planning a wedding. We purchased the full design and plan package and were assigned Jenna as our senior planner.

It was truly the best investment we did for our wedding, there was absolutely not one thing that went wrong operationally the day of the wedding because of the hard work that Jenna did. She assisted in every aspect of the wedding; finding us vendors, creating a budget, constructing an intensely detailed timeline up to the day of the wedding, joined all vendor calls, helped design the floorplan, and so much more. Our ROI was proven immediately in her contract negotiations with our vendors to ensure we were getting the most out of each vendor.

We became so close to Jenna over this past year in planning and truly look at her as more than just our wedding planner! The day of the wedding we got to meet more members of the Ohana team and they were just as amazing as Jenna is. If I had to recommend one thing during the wedding planning process, it would be to hire a coordinator! Caelee from Ohana Events made our entire wedding day seamless and completely stress-free. From day one, she made the entire planning process so easy and enjoyable. Our wedding was at Cuneo Mansion and Gardens in Vernon Hills, along with a church ceremony that hadn’t hosted a wedding in over 10 years — so there were definitely a few unique challenges to navigate. Jenna handled everything with such professionalism and grace, guiding us through new territory like an absolute pro.
One of the best things about working with Jenna is that she let us be as hands-on (or hands-off) as we wanted. She was always incredibly communicative, quick to respond, and made sure we were consistently ahead of schedule — literally for over a year! Friends and family kept commenting on how “on top of it” we were, and that was all thanks to Jenna’s organization and attention to detail.
Jenna was also extremely flexible with our busy work schedules, often meeting us late in the evening or on weekends to make things work. We already miss our coffee planning meet-ups with her — they became such a fun and special part of the process!
We received so many compliments from our guests on how beautiful, detailed, and well thought-out our wedding was — every element flowed perfectly and our day-of timeline was a masterpiece. She thought of everyone involved — bridal party, family, vendors — and made sure every single person knew exactly where to be and when. I (the bride!) am notoriously 15 minutes late to everything, but this was the one day I was early… all credit goes to Jenna!
Of course, no wedding planning journey is totally bump-free, but whenever anything came up, Jenna was right there to handle it calmly and find the best solution. I completely trusted her creative eye and modern touch, and often asked for her advice before making final decisions — her insight was always spot on.
She also made vendor management a breeze. Jenna communicated with all of our vendors, handled the back-and-forth, and all we had to do was sign the final contracts. Even in the final month, when we made a bunch of small changes (adding hours to photo/video, makeup touchups, a new seating chart, etc.), Jenna managed it all seamlessly. We didn’t have to lift a finger.
Choosing to have a wedding planner was the one decision I never regretted for a single second. A ton of our friends are getting engaged and planning their own weddings and it’s the first thing we recommend. Having someone like Jenna in your corner who truly cares about making your day exactly what you dreamed it would be is the best thing you can do for your peace of mind and overall happiness.
