Located on the West Shore of Staten Island within the grounds of the Hilton Garden Inn, Nicotra’s Ballroom is truly the star of Staten Island’s event scene. Owned and operated by native Staten Islanders Lois and Richard Nicotra, this outstanding venue is a testament as to what a passion for hospitality and an eye for impeccable design can add to any event. From beautiful works of art flown in directly from Italy to rooftop fire pits and cabanas that transport you to Miami Beach, the sprawling South Avenue campus has a perfect spot to host your most special moments.

Nicotra’s Ballroom, nestled with 415 acres of protected Woodlands is located on the garden level of the inviting property on the flower-filled Lois Lane. Multiple event spaces can accommodate both intimate and grand events. Nicotra’s Ballroom is truly unique in its offerings as a venue with multiple spaces to accommodate any event vision.

The beautiful Tea House Garden, one of the specialty rooms at Nicotra’s Ballroom, is the perfect location to host an intimate affair of 75 people or more. Surrounded by two outdoor patios, a thriving Koi Pond and a solarium roof, this special space invokes classic Japanese artistry and tapestries, while allowing for your wedding vision to shine through. Guests can even kick off their heels and dance the night away on the heated dance floor or enjoy a stolen moment at the custom crafted alcove bar. The outdoor patios are reserved for guests of the Tea House, with a bright red Pagoda and Moonbridge as a backdrop for picture perfect moments.

The magnificent, newly renovated Trevi Garden has a style all its own. With details pulled straight from the streets of Venice and Florence, this enchanting room is the definition of romance. The cobblestone floors laid by Italian artisans, Venetian lamp posts and ‘Trevi Fountain’ brings the feeling of outside into a temperature-controlled space. The Trevi Garden shines through any weather and allows you to feel as though you hosted your event al fresco! Guests feel as though they are dining in an Italian Piazza, surrounded with white silk tenting and the comforts of a luxury space. With the ability to host up to 175 guests, the Trevi Garden truly is ‘magnifico’!

The true heart of Nicotra’s Ballroom is the Main Ballroom. This 11,000 sf robust space can be customized to accommodate between 50 to 1,000 guests; boasting 18 ft ceilings and windows that span from wall to wall. Guests can enjoy a woodland view of the beautiful, protected grounds of the Bloomfield Conservancy, which is dramatically lit in the evenings.

The signature feature that ties all the Nicotra’s Ballroom spaces together is the manicured Wedding Garden and Great Lawn. This secluded, flower-filled space is the ‘dream come true’ for those looking to say ‘I do’ outdoors. A Florentine Gazebo is the centerpiece of the picturesque grounds, accented by works of art that speak to the love that is witnessed in this space. The modern, cheeky ‘XOXOX’ sculpture is the perfect setting for bridal party photos, while a 10 ft tall ‘Lovers Embrace’ sculpture at the edge of the Wedding Garden is an iconic piece that is among the many Nicotra Collection art pieces that brighten the indoor and outdoor spaces at the Hilton Garden Inn Staten Island, part of a nearly $3MM collection the Owners have curated across the property.

Along with its beautiful spaces, Nicotra’s Ballroom offers a robust wedding menu that is sure to excite any palette. The fantastic cocktail hour is full of well-appointed stations to suit any taste. One, for example, is the Nicotra’s Ballroom Paella Station. The traditional paella, consisting of fluffy saffron rice, baby clams, PEI mussels, scallops, shrimp, chicken & chorizo all presented in our authentic, oversized paellera pan - a true house favorite. Enhanced by the bold red and white sangria served alongside it and coupled with delicious cocktails and the many traditional antipasto fixings.

After attending a Nicotra’s Ballroom cocktail hour, only a Nicotra’s Ballroom four-course meal can follow. Crafted by our Chefs, the menu features De Cecco pastas imported from Italy, Grade A prime meats, and fresh fish delivered for each event, all to create custom culinary offerings.
