We absolutely loved working with The Nelson String Quartet! From the very beginning, the booking process was seamless—Lauren was always easy to reach with questions, everything was handled through email, and payment was simple through their portal.

The hardest part was narrowing down our music selections because they offer so many options! Even then, we had two special requests, and they made it effortless to bring those to life. For our Bridgerton-inspired wedding, having a string quartet was a must, and The Nelson String Quartet truly elevated the entire atmosphere—light, airy, romantic, and exactly what we envisioned.

Our guests were raving about how beautiful the music was and what a nice touch it added. Personally, one of my favorite moments was while I was waiting in staging—I heard them playing “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” as my husband walked down the aisle, and I had to pull myself together so I wouldn’t ruin my makeup before my big entrance. Then, walking down the aisle to “In Case You Didn’t Know,” a song they learned just for us, was surreal and so emotional. It was absolutely perfect.

Their professionalism was top tier—punctual, polished, and so easy to work with. We would recommend them without hesitation to any couple looking for music that not only sounds incredible but also creates unforgettable moments.

A fun full-circle detail: we actually attended one of their Candlelight Bridgerton concerts the night we got engaged (11/1/24), and having them play at our wedding felt so meaningful and special.

Our wedding was on a Sunday morning and extremely intimate with only our parents attending the ceremony followed by a 50 person brunch reception, where the quartet played. The musicians arrived right on time and my venue got them taken care of so I didn’t have to worry about them at all. The music was perfect and really contributed to the intimate, light, and airy vibes we wanted. Absolutely recommend. Totally worth the money if you’re on the fence about it.

Working with Nelson String Quartet was easy and fun! Gavon was very responsive and helped develop my dream song for the ceremony, which is now in their repertoire. It was exactly as I imagined it would be! We selected classical pieces for before the ceremony and had our guest pick what they would like to hear during the cocktail reception and we have received so many compliments on their performance! It was that extra detail that only live performances can carry that helped set the ambiance of the evening. As the bride and groom, we were not able to hear many of the songs while we were ushered around, but the snippets we personally heard were indeed great. Based on that and the amazing feedback we received, we are seriously considering hiring them again as an anniversary performance just so we can relive the magic of that day! Well done!

Great experience having Nelson Quartet play our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. They had no problem learning and performing two original pieces when provided with sheet music in advance. Very professional and easy to work with on the big day!

I highly recommend these guys! We used a trio and picked traditional hymn music for the ceremony, and then switched up the vibe for more modern music during cocktail hour. I got a lot of great feedback from guests, they have a super wide variety of music to offer, and they're extremely flexible/helpful with any questions, planning, or music advice. One of my favorite compliments I received from some guests was that the reception felt classy walking into with their beautiful music. Give these guys a call!

The Nelson String Quartet played 4 songs (one of which had to be specially made) for my Mother’s Homegoing Celebration and it was the most clear sounding, perfectly played, soothing music that I’ve heard. It really brought my Family and I Solace and Comfort on such a hard day. I greatly appreciated their patience and professionalism. I will never hire another quartet for my events.
