Andrea Blanchfield is a 2010 graduate of Furman University, Greenville, SC, where she received the Furman University Strings Scholarship and earned a Bachelor's degree in Music under the tutelage of Anita Burroughs-Price, principal harpist with the North Carolina Symphony. Andrea has been playing the harp for over 20 years, and has been teaching throughout N.C. for 10 years. She also is the director of the Capital Harp Ensemble. Andrea founded the harp program at the Community Music School in downtown Raleigh, NC in 2016.
