This is a wonderful venue if you want to have a smaller, more intimate event. I had 60 guests, and I would not recommend it for any larger of a group. We had our ceremony in front of the garden outside of the mansion and then a served dinner in the library. This mansion was a great find and was an excellent value for the cost.

Montpelier is a beautiful venue. We held our ceremony in front of the mansion and our reception at the side. The grounds were well maintained and they had just planted some gorgeous flowers right where we held our ceremony. Although there is no dedicated wedding contact, the staff is friendly and helpful with whatever questions I had. They also let me leave a bunch of stuff overnight on Friday (alcohol, centerpieces, etc) which helped immensely with our timeline on Saturday. There is a discount for residents of PG & Montgomery counties, but even without this discount, Montpelier is an affordable location.
