We care deeply about the moments, details and aesthetic of all the events surrounding this most precious day... your wedding day. Our priority is to provide you with a genuine, artful and uncomplicated experience.
When it comes to their wedding day, our clients are constantly commenting that our calm demeanor and positive energy make their day super relaxed. Above all, our true and sincere love for photography supersedes all the other amazing traits we have (lol)! We are privileged to have been published in magazines, books and blogs, and the fact that you are looking at our work is an honor.
A little bit about "us"... We are constantly geeking out over amazing music, movies and design ("You're true blue, Ethel... true blue....") Name that movie! Michael's constant journey into finding new, original music is like the conquests of Don Quixote trying to find chivalry in an ever changing world devoid of virtue. Having graduated from Brooks Institute of Photography, Michael suffers from an affliction called, "details, details, details," in which no detail (and I mean NO detail) is left unnoticed. A common phrase in our house is, "Honey, do you like this one (clicks on an edit of a photo), or this one?" (clicks on what appears to be the exact same photo).

From my first conversation with Anna all the way through my wedding day the whole experience was amazing. I was fortunate enough to have both Anna and Michael work on my wedding and they're great individual and as a team. Anna really helped to organize my family and did lots of pre-planning to make sure day of she knew what photos were important to me and took so much stress off of the actual day. I planned my wedding in Santa Barbara from out of state and having them walk me through it really made things so much easier. Couldn't recommend them enough! -

We are so happy we went with Michael and Anna Costa as our photographers for our wedding. We first talked to Anna over the phone and immediately hit it off with her. Her down to earth personality and passion for her job and organization is why we felt we knew we found the right photographer. We first had Michael for our engagement photos and he made us feel relaxed the entire time and gave us great directions.
We were lucky to have both Michael and Anna shoot our wedding! We got married in Santa Barbara at the Santa Barbara Historical Museum in November 2018 and knowing they have shot at this venue many times was very comforting. We wanted to have photographers that knew the venue due to lighting and where to capture those special moments. We took our wedding party photos at the Hotel Californian and we loved how all those photos turned out. They captured everything about that hotel and why we chose to get ready there. The lighting and candid moment shots from our first look, to our wedding party group shots were great! Everything leading up to the big day went to smooth. They have great communication and organizations to make sure we got all the shots we needed. When we received all our wedding photos back, their online album was organized and easy to view. It was so helpful when we were choosing which photos to print! The printing service they used was so easy to order from and they arrived so quick!

Liz Married on 06/09/2018Michael and Anna were an absolute delight to work on our wedding day -- and leading up to it! Anna helped coordinate everything prior to the wedding. She was so easy to talk to and made wonderful suggestions on things we would have never considered (make sure you go for the sunset shots -- these were our favorite pictures)! My husband and I had so much fun all day with Michael as our lead photographer. He was calm and efficient -- it helped put us both at ease. He is also super silly and played along with our ridiculous wedding party and their jokes; everyone said they had the best time! I cannot thank Michael and Anna enough for the wonderful pictures we will cherish forever!
