Melonbelly Music is a wedding band based in Charlotte, North Carolina. This acoustic guitar duo consists of Clifton Castelloe and Burke Long. Although they primarily serve couples in the Southeastern United States, they can also travel to other areas.

Services Offered

Melonbelly Music is able to provide music for weddings and other special events in a range of sizes, from intimate parties to large outdoor gatherings. Performances by this band include guitar, vocal harmony, harmonica, and percussion selections in a variety of music styles. Couples and their guests may enjoy tunes from genres such as beach, bluegrass, blues, classic rock, country, Motown, oldies, and more. The group can customize their services for each celebration, whether it requires simple background music or tunes to get the guests on their feet dancing. Besides offering high-quality live music, Clifton and Burke are able to provide complimentary DJ and MC services. Professional sound equipment and a microphone are also included.

Fun wedding duo!!

Melonbelly played at our wedding in Highlands and they were so much fun!!!! Burke was awesome to work with leading up to the event and very responsive to phone calls/emails. People were on the dance floor the whole night and we really enjoyed having them play at our reception! Thank you!!!

Incredible People & Music

Due to COVID-19, we ended up deciding to elope in our backyard with just some family & we planned the whole thing in ONE WEEK. We contacted Melonbelly to see if they could work with us, and they were so incredibly accommodating! They learned our first dance song for us and were overall a pleasure to work with. I 100% would recommend them to anyone looking for fun, chill and easy to work with musicians!

We had Melonbelly for our reception in downtown Raleigh last night and they were amazing! It was important to us to have live music at our wedding and they did not disappoint! As soon as we got to the reception guests were raving about the music during the cocktail hour. Clifton and Burke even learned a song for our first dance and we keep bringing up how special that was. They had everyone enjoying themselves the whole night. Melonbelly played a huge role in our wedding and we feel lucky to have had them!

We absolutely loved having Melonbelly for our wedding band! They are so laid back, easy to work with, and accommodated all of our requests. They played beautiful acoustic music for both our ceremony and reception, but they were able to pump up the volume and get the crowd into it later in the night. We couldn't have asked for anything more and are so happy we chose Melonbelly for our wedding!

The Melonbelly band was absolutely amazing! They were able to provide both pre-recorded music and live music throughout the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. These guys were professional, responsive, and were able to accommodate our requests with ease. They kept our dance floor full with a great mix of music that got all the generations out there. You can’t beat live music!

I work in the wedding industry and had worked on several weddings with Melonbelly and loved them! When my sister was planning her wedding, I suggested that she look into hiring them. She researched and then contacted them after loving their music. Clifton and Burke are wonderful musicians and great people. They are easy to work with, very professional, and go along with things very well when plans change or details are added. All of the guests (young and old) loved their music, and they are also very good at announcements/intros/etc. We were so appreciative of everything they did and we highly recommend them!

Melonbelly did such an amazing job for our wedding. They did the ceremony and reception music and added to the quaint feeling we were going for. Our wedding wouldn't have been as perfect as it was without them. We had many of our guests come up to us and tell us how much they loved the band. They learned how to play our first dance song ( just a few weeks before the wedding) and did an awesome job. Not only are they great at what they do they are great people to work with too. Thanks again Melonbelly :-)

Melonbelly was the perfect fit for our mountain wedding reception! They are amazingly talented, played all the songs we love, and they were a pleasure to work with. The energy and flow of our reception was simply perfect, thanks to them. It was so nice to not have to worry about this aspect of the evening. We knew that they had everything under control, and they delivered an above and beyond performance. The only thing I would change is to have had them play longer!

Clifton and Burke are Class A fellows. They provided both the ceremony as well as reception music for our outdoor wedding. We were looking for a balance between good, fun music for people to dance to, but something that would allow relaxation and conversation for others. Melonbelly hit the nail on the head! We gave them very little guidance as far as the type of music we wanted for the reception. With the rest of the planning we had going on, we left it all up to them, and they were spot on. You will not meet a nicer couple of guys, or find a more talented duo. We consider ourselves fortunate to have had them part of our day.
