Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, JMS Jazz is a live jazz and pop band that performs at weddings and special events. Created by bassist John Shaughnessy, this versatile band works to exceed expectations at every event. Whether you’re looking for a mix of jazz for your cocktail hour, or a blend of genres to keep the dance floor full at your reception, this group can do it all.

JMS Jazz is available for performances at rehearsal dinners, ceremonies, cocktail hours, and receptions. We understands that every event is different, and can adapt to suit the style of wedding. We can perform as a classic two-piece duo up to a full six-piece band complete with horns, guitar, and vocals. We will bring all necessary equipment including a sound system, microphones, and lighting.
