We first contacted Melanie and Andy after seeing their work on Instagram. The quality and style of their images stood out in a crowd of wedding photographers. We were looking for a candid-style wedding photographer with a relaxed style that’s both modern and timeless.

Melanie and Andy’s vibe aligned exactly with what we were seeking. After meeting with them over Zoom, it became clear that we had found a great match, both in terms of style and personality.

The connection and ease we found with them shows through in the final product. They knew exactly how to make us feel like we were just hanging out with a friend.

We also did an engagement shoot, it was useful to practice posing and working together ahead of our wedding. We have the most beautiful and unrushed photos from that magical time right before the big day.

All our pics are stunning, filled with that glowy, flattering light. Melanie and Andy’s eye for detail is astounding, and beyond their technical expertise, they were a joy to work with. On the day they deftly navigated complex family dynamics, moved swiftly through the portrait session, and knew when to blend into the background and when to assert themself to get the best pictures. Andrew and Melanie came highly recommended through many vendors we looked into, and we couldn't be happier. The photos are lovely and they captured all the special moments of our day. As many other people have said, working with this couple felt more like working with friends than anything. They made us feel at ease being in the spotlight all day especially because we have never taken professional photos before. Andrew & Melanie captured every moment of our daughters wedding perfectly! From getting ready to the send off they were right there to get every important detail. They work great as a team to get twice the pictures in half the time. Melanie was catching all of the moments with the bride, bridesmaids & mother & father of the bride before the wedding while Andrew was with the groom, groomsmen & groom's family doing the same. They didn't miss a thing. They moved quickly as to keep the party going while getting all of the great pictures that we wanted. We all enjoyed watching the beautiful slideshow of pictures that they paired with music. It was SO good & so much fun to watch. They did a beautiful job!

Okay, so Andrew and Melanie are the dream photography duo for a wedding. We were just married 10/1/21 at Squaw (now Palisades) and they did not disappoint!!!! We met virtually with a couple different wedding photographers before deciding and ultimately went with Andrew and Melanie because we felt like we wanted to actually hang out with them on our wedding day (and of course liked previous examples of their work). We did a great bonus engagement photo session which was part of our contract and we knew we made the right choice! Before the wedding, we answered their detailed questionnaire and met with them to go over all the logistics. On wedding day, they arrived right on time and Melanie initially went to where the girls were getting ready and Andy headed to the guys. They both give great direction so if you typically feel awkward getting your picture taken, you won’t! They know just what to do so you look great, but natural and like yourself. We took pictures before and after the ceremony with different groups and Andrew & Melanie were an organized dream calling out names and getting the groups together that we had previously discussed. There are so many other good things to say about these two but I’ll wrap it up with a few last notes -
1) We wanted our wedding guests off their phones, but of course people are still inclined to pull out their phone to take a picture to post right away. Whenever we were taking a photo with a guest using a phone one of them was over to us a right away to take a real picture, which we really appreciated.
2) Andy was right up in the action on the dance floor getting great shots which was amazing because we wanted our reception to primarily be a big dance party.
3) At one point we were taking a couple photos and Andy was on the ground in the brush in front of us and Melanie was on the ground in the brush behind us holding a light for him. These two will do anything for a great shot!

Can’t recommend them enough!!!! They are so fun, have such a cute banter with each other which keeps the vibes good, and most importantly they come prepared!!

Andrew and Melanie did a wonderful job photographing our wedding. Not only did they capture great moments, but they also helped us figure out where we were going to elope (We were a 2020 wedding). We loved where they shot our engagement photos, so we had the idea to go back to that spot and get married on a hiking trail. Andrew and Melanie helped us coordinate this and even had their helper (I think daughter) go and tell people to hike around a certain place so they wouldn't walk in front of the wedding. Andrew was also very calming, and even though I was late, he told me my husband to be was doing just fine and very excited. They are great artists and great people!
