I'd pick Mary, again and again and again for my wedding! My husband and I got married in Mexico, since the moment we decided to have a destination wedding, I knew the photographer I chose had to capture the vibrant tropical colors of Mexico. And so, Mary made it happen! She had the classic, elegant yet vibrant style I wanted and the photos came out looking like they belong in a wedding magazine! Some were formal, some were candid, some were artistic. When I viewed my photo gallery I cried. Cried because they reminded me of the best day and week of my life. Not only is Mary a good photographer, she's also such a good human. Our family and friends had so much fun with Mary and her hubby Martin at our wedding. After meeting with Mary for the first time, I knew, without a doubt, that she was going to be the best photographer for everything I wanted from my big day. From the start, she got to know our interests, keyed in on our style, both individually and as a couple, and used that to hone in on what we wanted captured at our wedding. Leading up to the wedding, Mary played a very active role in assisting me with ideas, inspiration, fashion advice, etc! It was so great working with someone who really cared - and who was genuinely excited for my wedding as well. Mary truly listened to what I wanted, focusing on the finest of details. When our wedding day came, Mary was there, ready to brave the elements (outdoor wedding in Portland... in November) and started shooting the second I stepped out of the car. She captured genuine first looks, not only from my Groom, but from my family, his family - moments that can't be staged. She took us each aside, capturing us both in our wedding day glory and throughout the rest of the day, captured those beautiful organic moments, but also made sure then everyone was able to get photos with us. I never once had to worry or look over my shoulder to make sure Mary was getting "the shot". She gracefully and seamlessly followed along from moment to moment. My camera wielding shadow. She was so much more than just a photographer! She was truly a very big part of my day.
