Owner Joanna specializes in bespoke and deeply personal ceremonies and will work closely with you each step of the way. As a public speaker, writer, singer, and actor, she brings a range of talents to her work. She's been collaborating with soon-to-be newlyweds since 2022 and would be honored to work with you, regardless of your age, gender, race, or religious background. Joanna is happy to travel within 100 miles of Washington.

On the day of your ceremony, she'll arrive early and officiate your ceremony with confidence, warmth, and humor. Together, you'll laugh, cry happy tears, and sign any relevant documents. Afterward, you'll receive a keepsake certificate and a copy of your ceremony to cherish forever. Married By Miller offers extensive support from start to finish, including ceremony script creation, obtaining the marriage license, writing vows, and submitting the license. Joanna is ordained through multiple institutions including the International Association of Professional Wedding Officiants.

We knew when we were looking for officiants that this was one of the most important pieces of our day (since it was the part where we would actually get married!) and we're so lucky to have found Joanna.
She met with us to talk through our story and put so many special touches into her script to make the whole thing just feel like us. She incorporated the handfasting into our ceremony perfectly and even looked up some Latvian traditions for us to potentially use as well. She also was super understanding and listened to the things we didn't want, not just the things we did, to keep everything perfect.
Then even after the wedding, she worked to get us a new copy of the "fake" wedding certificate, since that hadn't made it's way back to us after the ceremony.
