Our story began when Madison was two, eating her first bite of cake in a floral sundress. Not much has changed in the last twenty-five years, except her taste has now evolved from Baby Gap to J. Crew, and that love for cake has gotten her pretty far.
She explored her creativity at Virginia Tech studying theatre and event design, and graduating top of her class. She took her first internship with a wedding planner in Washington, DC where she learned all the tricks of the trade and became familiar with many popular venues in the area. From those connections, she was offered her first event job, and worked on a variety of weddings, music festivals at FedEx Field, corporate events at the National Harbor, and many high-end parties. She found that her passion is social events: weddings, kids parties, baby showers, bridal showers, graduation parties, and holiday parties.
Madison began to dream about what it would be like to have her own event brand, one that had her special touch of elegance, sophistication, and of course, fun. MAE was founded in the middle of a pandemic in 2020, but Madison persevered because she saw the vision she had and knew it was worth fighting for.
Now, three years later, Madison has done over forty events under her own brand, been seen in Washingtonian magazine, worked at numerous venues in the DC area, and leads her own team of event planners, and has expanded into the French Riviera. We hope you join us on our journey, as there will be lots of champagne, smiles, and, of course, cake involved.

From a young age, Jenn has loved keeping organized, making to do lists, and tapping into her creative side to make the ordinary into extraordinary. Jenn is a certified wedding and event planner through the Planner Life Academy. She exemplifies our company values of professionalism, kindness, and of course, creativity. In her spare time, you’ll find her spending time with her family and friends, playing fetch with her rescue dog Gnocchi, traveling abroad (Italy is her favorite!), or long distance running towards her goal of being an Abbott World Marathon Majors six-star finisher.

We knew Kayla was destined for a career in events when she blew out her sister’s first birthday candle. She started off with MAE as an event planning assistant and recently transitioned into a brand and marketing role.
Kayla graduated from college in Seattle and made a cross-country move to DC last September. She received her event planning training from Planner Life Academy and just recently completed a photography course. Out of everyone on the team, she also wins the award for pinning the best boutonniere and creating the best balloon arch!
Outside of the studio, you can find her discovering new coffee shops, reading a good book (Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, anyone?), or further exploring more of the east coast.
