Beautiful location, loved every bit of our wedding. The owner can be a little hard to get a hold of, and (at this time) there's no way to mapquest or google maps the property, so it can be a little hard to find for some guests. I would have given it a 5/5 if not for the caterer, who, while his food was delicious, was a bit of a jerk. I would have preferred to work with a different caterer.

Marrara's Mountain Lodge is a small log lodge in the mountains of central Pennsylvania. It is in a beautiful setting and has a wonder environment in which to get married. When renting the Lodge, you pay for the whole weekend! There are two bedrooms, however, they are more 'hunting camp' type of bedrooms. The Lodge itself is absolutely beautiful with woodwork throughout the entirety of the lodge. It has a stone fireplace on one end and also has two bathrooms and a kitchen. There is a spiral staircase leading to the bedrooms. For our wedding, we ended up having the wedding inside, but it turned out wonderful and the bridesmaid and myself actually came down the staircase! The outside is equally gorgeous! There is a gazebo in the back (which is where we were planning on getting married) with ampitheater seating. Behind that is a pond, which was perfect for some of our pictures. I would highly recommend this venue for anyone. The only thing we did not enjoy was the owner. We only met him once and talked to him twice but he was not very friendly and he waited until two day before our wedding to talk to us about posting signs for our guests to find their way. Also, there is no physical address but there was one listed on their brochure and so I put it on our invitations. A guest tried out the address a month before the wedding, thank goodness, and found that the address took them to a field, nowhere near the venue. Other than those two instances, we had a wonder experience and it really made our wedding. We wanted something country/rustic and very laid back but somewhat elegant. This was the perfect setting and we still get compliments about our wedding and how beautiful the venue was.

Beautiful location, terrible owner!!!!

My sister had her wedding there. Beautiful venue but owner was impossible to contact. She also did not get back her full deposit. You will not get yours back no matter what. He stated there was beer bottles to clean up and that the floor was dirty. There were no beer bottles as we only had kegs and we swept and mopped the floor. It looked better than the day we were handed the keys. A shame the owner has to act like this for such a beautiful location. We took after pictures thank God to prove of all the clean up and how the place looked. Floors in picture are still wet from mopping. Renter beware!!!
