We feel incredibly blessed to have worked with John and his staff at Marionfield Farm to make our daughter’s June 2023 wedding memorable and simply lovely.

Bottom line: As the mother of the bride, who was also responsible for planning most of this wedding, I have to say that I barely lifted a finger or thought of a detail on the wedding day! Everything was perfect, and John and team worked hard to ensure that no detail was left undone. I would highly recommend Marionfield Farm for a wedding or any special event. We received so many compliments from guests! Planning and executing a wedding is not an easy feat, but John makes it seem like it is. And in the end, that is what I really got for the cost of this venue… peace of mind and being present with my family.

Some details:

Venue: This gorgeous historic barn and surrounding property/buildings has been optimized to make an event engaging for both guests in those planning. John has literally thought of every detail. Every vendor we chose knew they could trust this venue, and he made it easy for all of them.

Photos: The stunning property and gorgeous farm buildings mean you won’t have to select a separate place to take photos. Lush greenery surrounds the whole place! Inside, beautiful hanging pendant lamps provide a spectacular element. The upstairs loft is also a great place for photos.

Planning: Above all, John made it clear from the first moment that he cared deeply about the experience our family, our wedding party, and our guests would have at Marionfield Farm. John is a venerable project manager and has his details done to a “T”, and yet he is flexible, friendly and communicative. He is easy to work with and he also earns trust quickly by doing what he says he will, and keeping great notes. We could always count on him to provide advice when requested (which we did often), but also to be respectful enough to allow us to make this special event our own.

Value: Similar barn venues closer to Seattle seemed to be more than double the cost of this one. Yes, it is a drive from Seattle to Arlington, but we found it well worth it for our needs.

Day-of: Our guests had a simply lovely experience, and we received many compliments for selecting this venue. It is important to know that the barn does not have heat or air conditioning, although John does have fans if the weather is warm. As June 2023 would have it, we had a bit of a sprinkle and some wind on our wedding day. John had umbrellas at the ready, but the guests were fine without them, moving between the large barn and the smaller outbuildings. John and staff worked hard to be invisible and make everything seamless.

Don’t hesitate to get this venue booked up early. You’ll be glad you did! We are so grateful.

o We had our wedding at this gorgeous venue in late September of 2022. Our wedding guest size was approximately 140. We had our ceremony outside and our reception inside. The venue is beautiful in every aspect. The scenery is gorgeous, and the barn is in pristine condition with moody lighting. John was such a delight to work with during the planning process. He is extraordinarily organized, detail oriented, caring, passionate about what he does, and has the best interest of his couples at the forefront. John made the planning process so simple and gave us the confidence to be able to pull off a dream wedding. John was very responsive and always had incredible recommendations when we were unsure what route we wanted to go with something. We opted to have John serve hot cider at the wedding and to have propane heaters outside in case it got too chilly at night. Both were great options. John’s staff was just as incredible as him. They assisted getting all the vendors set up where they needed to be as they arrived which led to a smooth set up and the overall smoothness of our wedding. We decided to do the cake cutting outside and in the meantime John’s staff removed tables inside to create the dance floor. They were so quick and efficient that I didn’t even notice it. I cannot brag enough about their teamwork, efficiency, kindness, and passion for making your day as memorable and perfect as they can. Choosing Marionfield Farm was the easiest and best decision we feel we made for our wedding day. John’s kind spirit is so incredibly infectious and we had so much fun working with him. Since our wedding we have heard nothing but wonderful comments from our guests about how beautiful it was, how kind the staff was, and how smooth everything went at our wedding.

I cannot express how amazing the owner of this venue is. John made planning a wedding through a pandemic one of the greatest experiences of our lives. He was very understanding and very clear on the services that he provides, as well as offering so many options to make are they absolutely perfect! John and his staff made our day they assisted and guided our guests and vendors. I cannot recommend more highly! Thank you John for all you do we love you!!!
