Mackenzie LaRoe

Mackenzie LaRoe is a phenomenal photographer local to the Nashville area. I first worked with Mackenzie during a family photo shoot where I was blown away by her expertise and ability to suggest poses and positions to capture our group of 10+ family members in the most flattering ways. Her experience in modeling gives her insight and empathy with her subjects. When planning my fall wedding in Nashville, I knew I needed to have Mackenzie to capture the day. She initiated regular communication and follow-up along with planning meetings 3 months out and 2 weeks out of the wedding. Instead of wedding favors, we increased our photo package so all of our guests could get family portraits. Mackenzie recruited another photographer to help her, at no additional charge to us. Our guests all had rave reviews over Mackenzie's direction, professionalism, and tips and tricks for getting the best photos. Above all, she is patient, gracious, and kind. I leaned heavily on her to be a stabilizing force during such a stressful time. I knew the photos would be perfect and the end result exceeded our expectations!

Mackenzie did the photos for our son's wedding and has also done an outdoor family session for us. Her experience on both sides of the lens helped guide us to be better subjects for the photos than we naturally are. She has a positive energy that makes her a pleasure to work with.
Besides the traditional photos, she took dozens of candid shots of guests enjoying the celebration. She captured the joy and spirit of the day in these spontaneous moments.
