I cannot say enough good things about Lois Mathews! She truly created my DREAM wedding florals. She was also a dream to work with— generous with her time arranging meetings and phone calls, always responding quickly to messages, and she manages a great balance of adhering to my vision and inspirations photos while also adding her own artistry and ideas. She has a large collection of vases, candles, pots, etc that she threw in for free and even acquired some new ones and spray painted others to match my color scheme. There were definitely more florals and decorations than we paid for on wedding day! She really is a full-service floral designer who takes care of her brides.

On wedding day, I started crying when I saw the ceremony space. She created a broken arch that was huge and stunning, and she transported it to my reception behind the sweetheart table. My bridal bouquet was full of movement and color and I just kept admiring all the different beautiful vases and flowers on every table. Guests and other vendors were complimenting her work all night.

I would highly recommend Lois, especially if you’re a creative person with a unique vision! She’s a talented artist and a passionate, kindhearted person who made my wedding so special.

If you are looking for a florist who will go above and beyond, Lois Mathews is an amazing choice. There are enormous challenges when trying to do flowers on a vessel that will be under sail. Lois Mathews handled the challenges with fabulous creativity, expertise, and professionalism.
The owner and crew of America were equally impressed. America was adorned beautifully with thick garland running down the lifelines with magnificent flowers at the stanchions. Beautiful bouquets were creatively placed on the hatches and captain's table. The effect was magical.

How do we thank Lois enough for the glorious setting she created for our wedding reception? It cannot be done! But it is worth sharing: I am truly amazed at how much she cares and how intuitive she is. She was able to capture what was a rather elusive, dreamy scene in my head -- one of warmth, loveliness, and romance -- and her work inspired so many of our beloved guests with its abundance and timelessness. The comments just kept coming after the beautiful day had ended! What an absolute, terrific gift she made to us through her skills and efforts, and through her friendship throughout the process. Lois is a natural creative with both figurative and literal storehouses of resources and experience that she will pull from to bring your dream to life! Can't recommend her enough if you are wanting your flowers to bring vibrancy and life to your special day.

Lois did such an amazing job with the florals at our wedding. She envisioned exactly what we wanted and made it all come to life in a way that was even more beautiful than we had imagined. She is such a pleasure to work with and puts so much love and care into her work. 10/10 recommend!

Lois provided the floral decorations for my wedding- both ceremony & reception. From the arch and creating an isle on our lawn to the tent & tables (including candles) & even leaving some extra flowers for us to decorate our wedding cake, everything was even better than I had envisioned. My husband and I live in Texas so we were planning our wedding from a far with the help of my parents who live locally. Lois was willing to set up a meeting while I was in town for a quick visit to discuss my vision and ideas for the big day. At the beginning, I had hoped to include a flower native to Texas. Lois worked tirelessly to try and make that happen and even provided me with some similar colored/sized flowers to choose from as a backup. In the end, I decided to go with sunflowers and boy, did Lois deliver! There were over 300 sunflowers at my wedding and it was absolutely incredible. The wedding and reception were both in Point Loma and I didn’t want the sunflowers to make the theme too country, but Lois and her team did an amazing job at creating my dream wedding. The weekend I got married was also the weekend that San Diego was preparing for its first tropical storm to hit in 84 years, but that didn’t scare away Lois. She made sure the arch and all other floral decorations were secured and we enjoyed them throughout the night without worry, and took many inside after the reception to enjoy into the next week. Lois has a gift for floral design, helped me with suggestions when I wasn’t sure, and did a wonderful job creating exactly what I wanted for our special day. She has a wealth of decorating knowledge and energy!

Lois clearly knows what she is doing! She made our wedding look amazing and on a very reasonable budget. Her onsite barn has so many decorations included in her price, that she fully covered our centerpieces, our arch, and other miscellaneous decorations. She even made our dream design work when flowers were hard to come by. Not to mention that working with her is an absolute delight.

Lois made my dreams come to life! She truly listened to my vision and what I was looking for by making my Pinterest board come to life. I am so grateful for all the work she did and the dedication to making my dream day perfect!! I will be recommending Lois to all of my friends and family when it is their time. She was also very communicative and made me feel at ease, everything went so smoothly.

Working with Lois was an absolute dream come true. She has such an extensive knowledge of flowers and an amazing ability to know what will make the most beautiful arrangement! She is also just incredibly friendly and easy to work with. She listens to what you want and gives you ideas that you hadn't thought of. Can't recommend enough. My florals were exactly what I wanted.

I interviewed a few different San Diego florists for my wedding day, but after I spoke with Lois I knew she was perfect for what I was looking for. Whereas other florists nickel-and-dime you for every single flower arrangement you'll need (which seriously adds up between ceremony arches, personals, and reception tables), Lois works with your budget and includes SO much for a flat fee. She has a whole barn full of materials and provided centerpieces (including lanterns and candles), baskets to line our ceremony aisle, and cake and dessert stands, which I would have otherwise had to buy or rent myself (and likely never use again). I had even forgotten to tell her we ordered a welcome sign, and came to find on the day-of that she added florals to that as well! You're really getting the most bang for your buck with Lois.

And creatively, Lois has a great eye for design and delivered STUNNING florals. In our consultation she got to know my color scheme, overall vision, and likes/dislikes, but then I put my full trust in her to deliver with minimal oversight or input needed from me. It relieved SO much of my stress leading up to the big day. And at the wedding, my guests were floored by the details and florals: they were fresh, beautiful, and completely captured the vibe I was going for! She even slightly up-leveled my maid of honor's bouquet to distinguish it from the other bridesmaids' which was SUCH a thoughtful touch. Not to mention Lois is the sweetest person and easy to collaborate and communicate with. I highly recommend using her for your wedding!
