Laura is fabulous! We hired her during the pandemic to capture photos to celebrate a year of marriage, and since we had never taken engagement photos. Laura was extraordinary to work with: FUN, super responsive, flexible and easy to collaborate with, reasonably priced and ohhh so talented! Her artwork is divine! It gave us something new to frame in our living room and we adore those photos of us in Prospect Park and Park Slope, a place we cherish so much. She naturally captures the moment in the way that you want a photo to look: just how you are, not overdone at all, original, candid and beautifully natural. She also edited our wedding photos for us (originally taken by another vendor, not her) and was able to save many of them that look so much better.

When I see the wedding and portrait photos she takes, I swoon and only wish we had know about her for our own wedding! We plan on hiring her again and again for photos we’s like in the future. We are so grateful for your work, Laura!

Laura was our photographer and witness for our city hall elopement in December. She was brilliant, she made us feel very comfortable in front of the camera, took us to the best photo spot and managed to get AMAZING photographs despite the sea of tourists around the city that day. We can't recommend her enough, so if you are thinking of eloping to NYC, do not hesitate to book her!

We eloped from the UK to get married at Manhattan City Hall in October 2022. Laura was friendly and efficient from day one, finding out what we were looking for and offering expert knowledge of the best spots around NYC for us. We planned a rough itinerary before meeting and Laura acted as our witness at City Hall. Everything was really smooth and Laura was quick to send us the photos which we are over the moon with. We can’t stop looking at them! She captured us in a laid back way so we never felt awkward when she was taking the photos but still directed us to ensure we got the best photos possible. We got a range of backdrops and the poses are fun and really captured what we are like as a couple. We would highly recommend her if you need a wedding photographer in NYC!

We booked our wedding through Simply Eloped and Laura was our photographer. We had a vision in mind for our photos given the time of year and the location and Laura was great at advising us on the best locations and angles. Her knowledge of Brooklyn and the surrounding area was perfect and her laidback approach to taking candid and posed photos was perfect! Laura was absolutely wonderful before, during, and after our elopement! We set up a plan together, and when my husband and I got COVID right before our big day, she was amazingly flexible, compassionate, and accommodating in rescheduling. On the day, plenty of things went wrong, but not the photography! She was honestly a calming presence and made sure we got all the beautiful shots in. When I asked for a couple sneak peeks, she delivered stunning photos in a matter of days. The rest of the photos came soon after, and my family couldn’t be happier with how they came out! We will be looking at them forever! Highly recommend Laura :)

Laura was fantastic for our elopement!
We had trouble getting a permit for our wedding ceremony. Laura went above and beyond suggesting different locations she recommended and even sent over picture's she had taken at each place to help us decide.
The day of she braved the pouring rain and was so wonderful to work with! She put us and our family at ease and helped us be better models!
The pictures came out beautifully and arrived even earlier than expected. She captured so many precious moments from our day and we are so glad we had her there to work with us.

We found Laura on Instagram when searching for a photographer in the Brooklyn area to take our engagement photos. Laura was very responsive and gave us some great advice in preparing for our first professional photoshoot together! We knew we wanted to have our photos taken in the DUMBO area, and Laura was very familiar with the best spots and time of day. We were able to take photos in 10 different locations within 1.5 hours. We're incredibly happy with the variety and quality of the photos we received and have been sharing them with our friends and family!

Laura captured my husband and I's elopement in NYC. Upon meeting her for the first time, I immediately felt comfortable working with her. She is very laid back and spends time finding out exactly what you want from your pictures while also providing her own suggestions to get the best shots possible- and boy do the pictures turn out AMAZING. From the first email and phone call, Laura was so sweet, accommodating and excited to hear our story and work with us. We had a really unconventional ceremony and she completely understood our aesthetic, was able to capture it and US (and our dog) perfectly. Laura took our surprise engagement photos (she was hired by my fiancé, very last minute) and was able to accommodate his also last minute change in location, and capture the TOTAL surprise and bliss of the moment. After we received her BEAUTIFUL photos, I asked her to crop out some family members in the background which she executed with speed, understanding and precision.
