One of the most important parts of planning your big day is finding the right wedding venue to host your ceremony and reception. You need to partner who can collaborate with you to make your venue dream to life and have everyone talking about the amazing wedding you planned. A location which allows you to celebrate!

Our private residences feature rich Hollywood history and architectural gems and offer convenient locations. These estates offer a breathtaking backdrop for any corporate event, wedding, or media location. Venues are either classic mid-century architecture or historic Spanish colonial movie colony estates all with period furnishings and authentic decor.

La Chureya Estate La Chureya Estate

Located in the heart of The Movie Colony, La Chureya is a six-bedroom, seven-bathroom Spanish Estate completed in 1934. Since then, four owners have called La Chureya home, including the family noted for building the Beverly Wilshire Hotel and Spanish born Tennis Coach and Professional Jose Higueras. The estate it is art in architecture with exquisite tilework, beamed ceilings and original Saltillo floors. The bathrooms are unique in color in black, blue and yellow with large bathtubs fitted for a spa like experience.

Exceptionally rare for it’s prime in-town location, the 1¼-acre grounds are lush and manicured, with mature fruit trees, a rose garden and mature palms and foliage seen throughout. The front and rear lawns, interior fountain courtyard and pool area make for multiple event locations. La Chureya also offers a tennis court and in-ground pool, which features a poolside cabana. Set to the southeast and tucked into a small grotto, a custom in-ground tile spa provides exceptional views to the west and mountains beyond.

Five bedrooms are in the main house, with the sixth found in the detached casita. Three of the bedrooms, including the master suite, offer king beds and en suite baths. The other two bedrooms in the main house have a queen bed and en suite bath.

The detached Casita is located on the northwestern end of the property, a private living space with a queen bed and en suite bath. Featuring a full kitchen, dining area and sitting area. A private courtyard with chaise lounges is a quiet outdoor sitting spot under the fig tree.

The City event permit regulations and noise ordinances in place require the items below. We do that process for you.

• Event Venue fee is $8,000- Full day use
• The event fee is reduced to $6,000 with a 3-night minimum at seasonal rate + fees

Maximum Occupancy for a seated dinner is 120 guests for a Reception 150 guests

No amplified music outside but can be played inside as well as ambient non amplified musicians outside. We always want to preserve the tranquility and environment for our neighbors and guests.

We can only schedule and confirm event bookings a minimum of 70 days prior to your requested dates and only one year in advance for these venues. You can click here to see here our preferred Vendor list available for you with caterers, wedding planners, entertainment and other services that can aid you with your event. You may also use your own creative vendors.

We encourage you to tour our venues in person upon appointment. We can arrange virtual tours via facetime.
