Delicious wedding cake!

We decided on King's Hawaiian Bakery after browsing through their wide assortment of cake flavors. They offer a free cake tasting where you can select up to four flavors to pick up and try at home. Our favorite was the Paradise Cake with fresh strawberries filling, so we chose that as our wedding cake.

Although the colors of inside the Paradise Cake are super bright (pink, green, orange), the flavor is AMAZING. It's very fresh and fruity, but not too sweet. Both of our families aren't huge fans of cake, since most of the time, it's always too sweet for them, but this was perfectly balanced and was just right. It's a layered cake with guava, passion fruit, and lime - so if you love tropical flavors, this is your type of cake!

Our wedding cake was very minimalist and simple, two-tiered. We also ordered an additional sheet cake, so we had enough cake to feed about 150 guests. Our florist added some flowers for decoration, as well as our dogs as cake toppers. We thought it came out absolutely perfect and just the way we imagined it. Very reasonably priced as well, would highly recommend.

We ordered the Paradise Cake, and it wad DELICIOUS!! =D The prices are super reasonable. We paid less than $500 and got a 4 tiered cake. The bakery stated that it was good for close to 200 people, but we had about 300 guests and we had A LOT of leftover cake! The guests loved it!! The cake was beautiful, inside and out. We brought a pictures from a magazine and the decorators did an excellent job with our cake. They decorated it the exact way we wanted it! And, because it wasn't too fancy, it didn't cost extra!!

Thanks, King's!! You guys are awesome!! =D

You need to make a reservation for the tasting, and then you can mix and match fillings/cake/frosting to create your perfect wedding cake. Initially, we thought we'd just get a Paradise cake, but after sampling all the flavors, we created our own concoction of custard and strawberry filling with a passionfruit sponge cake. We loved it and our guests were raving about how good the cake was at the wedding. Everything was exactly as ordered, and the price was very reasonable.

My only other recommendation is to order at least 2 months in advance for a summer wedding. On the phone they tell you to come in one month in advance, which we did, and they were almost too booked to accommodate our cake. Try to get them as much advance warning as possible; they're busy!
We're all about trust. Our community relies on honest reviews to help you make those big decisions with ease.
