The cake was very good and even convinced our non dessert eaters in the family.

I was looking for cake shops local to where my venue was and found Lark. My fiance (now husband) emailed Lark via their online system to request a tasting.

The rep we were communicating with told us we could stop by on a Sunday to pick up the samples but told us the shop was open later than it was so we ended up having to rush to the shop before they closed. Despite this miscommunication, we loved the coconut cake so much that we decided to order our wedding cake from Lark.

On the day of our wedding the cake didn’t arrive during the 2-hour window that was given to us so my husband was calling Lark trying to find out where the delivery driver was. When it finally came time for the cake cutting, my husband and I cut into the cake to find out it was the wrong flavor! We ordered coconut and got carrot cake (my husband has a slight allergy to carrot cake and we both also hate the flavor).

When we contacted Lark the following Monday to explain the situation they just sent me all my paperwork and told me there was no way they made a mistake because my paperwork showed I paid for a coconut cake and asked to see photos. Luckily my mother snapped some photos of the wrong cake which I then sent to Lark. The rep was not in any way apologetic and offered a refund but it was the incorrect amount. After doing the math, we emailed Lark again and asked them to explain the cost they were offering because it seemed incorrect based on our calculations and the rep then backtracked and said they gave us the incorrect amount.

I was looking forward to having Lark’s coconut cake at my wedding as I had been raving about it to our guests. The cake being delivered late, getting the wrong flavor and the unprofessional way Lark managed our complaint was so dissatisfactory that I regret choosing this vendor and would not recommend.

Not only do they have the most delicious cakes and desserts, but they are so easy to work with. We hired them to make our wedding cake and desserts for our dessert table and everything they made was fantastic. From cake testing to designing our wedding cake, everything was so easy. The cake was beautiful and everyone loved all the desserts. We had so many people asking us about the icebox cake, which was the crowd favorite. We can’t wait to go back and get cakes for every celebration in our lives.
