I hired Carolyn and Mary Kate for weekend-of coordination for my Block Island wedding. They helped me throughout the entire planning process, keeping me on track with regular phone calls and emails, and gave general advice as I navigated through all of the details. They were professional, easy to work with, and I really can't imagine my weekend with out them. They really gave my mom, mother-in-law, and me peace of mind - we didn't have to worry about anything the day of the wedding, and everything went smoothly! They dealt with all of the vendor communications and logisitics for the weekend of the wedding, and I would recommend them to any bride-to-be! Plus, they did an on-site visit with us a few months before the wedding and were both on-site all weekend.

KatherineAda Events was hands down one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. We booked their "day of coordination" package, but Carolyn and Mary Kate's support went far beyond "day of." I was in touch with them regularly beginning about 5 months before the wedding. We wanted a very intimate and simple wedding, but Mary Kate and Carolyn were on top of the little details that we didn't even consider. Without us even asking, they initiated coordinating all of our wedding signage with a local calligrapher. This was a small detail that we never would have thought of, but it was the perfect touch that our wedding needed.

In the weeks leading up to the wedding, Carolyn and I were emailing and texting daily. Before the wedding day even arrived, I already felt like I didn't know what I would do without them.

On the actual day of they exceeded our expectations in every way possible. They coordinated every detail with each of our vendors every step of the way. My parents kept raving about their level of professionalism. They even tracked down each of my male family members scattered throughout the hotel to personally pin boutonnieres to each of their jackets! They stayed until the very end of the wedding so we didn't have to think about a thing at the end of the night.

But the real icing on the cake is that they personally dropped all the gifts off to my apartment (I gave them a spare key and they quietly snuck in while our pet sitter was sleeping!) Seriously, saying they went above and beyond doesn't even begin to describe these ladies.

We had a very specific vision for our wedding and Mary Kate and Carolyn ensured that it was executed beautifully. For anyone who is on the fence about hiring a day-of coordinator- do yourself a favor and hire these two! It's an easy decision.

Mary Kate and Carolyn were wonderful. I researched a couple of companies to help with my day-of coordination for my ceremony, and happened upon them through a reference at my reception venue. First and foremost, they were very willing to work with my budgetary requirements. Their communication was spot on, and were very willing to offer ideas and suggestions to compliment our vision for the event. On the day of the event, everything went without a hiccup. I really could not have done this without them.

One of the best things I did for my out-of-state wedding (live in NYC, got married in Cape Cod, MA) was hire Katherine Ada Events! Mary Kate and Carolyn could not have been more helpful and accommodating to my husband and I, as well as our other wedding vendors, family and friends.
After researching about a dozen Wedding Planners and interviewing six, my decision was very easy after speaking to these ladies; within a few minutes, I feel like I was talking to my best girlfriends who were just as excited about my big day as I was! They helped me chose the right package without any pressure, met with me several times when I was visiting Boston, and truly did so much more for me and my husband than what was listed in my package. As a very busy professional, they researched items and ideas for me, saving me hours! They'd follow-up with checklists, itineraries and reminders (never pushy, always helpful!), helped me make many decisions and organized all my vendors so I didn't have to deal with emailing 10 different people the last few weeks. I had a million questions and no detail was too small for them - they were happy to help every step of the way!
They really outdid themselves during the actual weekend of my wedding - I hired them for the planning of my wedding - not my rehearsal dinner - yet they attended, picked up flowers, greeted guests and acted as though they were planners for that event too! I never expected them to and it was such a relief to have them there. You will not be sorry if you hire Katherine Ada for your wedding/event - they are personable, professional, fun, organized and so open to anything I needed.

I was having a very small ceremony (20 people) and then a bigger party (100) on two different days. I had planned the bulk of the wedding myself but I heard about KatherineAda and asked them to spend a few hours with me just to check details and make sure I wasn't missing anything. They were a HUGE help! It was about two weeks before my wedding and they thought of things that had never crossed my mind. They made me a timeline and a to-do list and even helped research some last minute vendor options. I would recommend them for anyone and for any event. They were kind, fun, and very professional.

I am so happy that I hired KatherineAda Events! Before hiring KatherineAda, I was completely stressed out trying to decide who was going to handle all the important details during the day of the wedding. I knew that I was going to be busy at the salon and getting ready and I wanted to enjoy the day with my bridesmaids. I didn’t want to burden them with the tedious "day of" tasks. When I found KatherineAda it was as if all my problems melted away! They sat with me at our consultation and promised that I would not have to worry about a thing and they were right. They contacted all of my vendors and asked that all contact goes through them so that I would not be burdened with silly questions. They ensured that all payments were up to par with the vendors so that there were not any issues the day of. They made schedules for all members of my wedding party including telephone numbers and addresses of the specific places that they needed to be. The buses were on time, the groomsman were in tip top shape and ready to go, all the vendors were on time and when I arrived to the venue, the entire room was beautifully decorated with the centerpieces, candles and photos of my husband and I! everything was perfect and exactly as we discussed. I did not stress once that day. I was able to enjoy every moment just as every bride should! After the wedding, I had gone back to my hotel room and KatherineAda took care of all the items that were left at the venue. I could not be happier with their amazing service and highly recommend them!
