When I was planning my wedding, my best friend shared one of her biggest regrets from her own big day: her photographer. Her photos were… fine. The same cookie-cutter images — walking down the aisle, cutting the cake, standard family and bridal party groupings. "My wedding photos look like everyone else’s. I wish I had chosen someone who would capture the candid moments I didn’t get to fully appreciate because everything was such a blur." We took that advice to heart when choosing our photographer. And when we found Joe and Katye, we knew we’d found our people. They are everything you hope for in wedding vendors — warm, professional, flexible, reliable, and patient. On the big day, we loved watching how they put everyone — from our anxious 2-year-old flower girl to my equally anxious 88-year-old grandmother (who was officiating!) — completely at ease. And then their photojournalist alter-egos kicked in. We got so many comments from guests amazed by their ability to be everywhere and nowhere at once — up on tables above the dance floor, shooting through windows — they even captured an incredible photo of my husband and me through a Christmas tree, giving the image this magical fairy light effect. Their energy and creativity are simply unmatched. I cried the first time I saw our photos. Joe and Katye did the impossible — they captured all the joy, love and magic from that day in a way that feels exactly like us. I got everything I hoped for: an embarrassment of riches of photos where I look like a movie star, and a collection that feels totally unique to our day and our story. We truly can’t wait to work with them again for future milestones. If you’re lucky enough to book them — do it. You won’t regret it.

If you are looking for someone to not only capture your day perfectly, but also someone you can rely on to make sure your day goes smoothly and stress free, Shannon is absolutely who you should go with. From our first meeting with Shannon, we knew that she was the person we wanted with us on our big day. Shannon is a joy to be around and makes you feel 100% comfortable when taking your shots. She even includes an engagement shoot in her wedding packages so you can comfortable with her and the various poses she will put you in on your big day. Not even 24 hours after our day, Shannon provided us with incredible sneak peaks and also got back our full album to us in a timely manner. Our wedding album captures our day perfectly. Shannon got every angle, captured not only fantastic portraits but many candids, and even got on the floor while we were dancing to capture so many fun shots! She handled family dynamics and the timeline of the day with ease and was a huge reason why I had a smile on my face the whole day! I highly recommend Shannon, she is 100% the type of person that you want with you on your wedding day!

I heard about Aleks through a friend, I quickly reached out for pricing for my wedding. I was pleased with how responsive and excited Aleks was. After consideration of numerous photographers and comparing pricing and services it was an easy decision to hire Aleks for our big day. One thing we loved is that Aleks included an engagement shoot in with his package as well. He is so friendly and great at communication. Aleks is also very punctual (showed up almost an hour early), he even stayed late to make sure we got our sunset photos. He sent us a few teaser photos right away and even got us our entire edited wedding album in just three weeks! I couldn’t believe how fast of a turnaround it was. The pictures were absolutely beautiful. Aleks worked so well with all of our other vendors. I would definitely hire Aleks again.
