We worked with Joyce Films for our wedding in September 2019. During our cinematographer vendor research, we've looked at so many wedding films in different styles yet hadn't encountered anyone that could WOW us. That is until we ran into Joyce Films' Instagram account - we knew immediately that this is THE cinematographer for our wedding! We still remember the excitement when Anna replied to us saying she's still available for our date.

Prior to the wedding, we met with Anna twice in person to share our background and brainstorm our needs. She was very caring, detail oriented and professional. The wedding day experience was so smooth with her being around - we simply trusted Anna's creativity and didn't have to worry about posing in front of the camera at all!

As for the actual teaser & highlight films we could only say they are masterpiece. Anna's works simply had the best urban sense crucial to New York City weddings and emotional elements that we dreamed about. The rhythm of her cuts always feel perfectly balanced, while all the shots have beautiful angles and lighting. Almost every scene is like a movie poster. Our guests kept talking about how touching the films made them almost wanted to cry. Not to mention Anna managed to deliver the highlight film ahead of her normal timeframe just to meet our specific event schedule, as well as quick turnarounds to address our bilingual needs! We couldn't thank her enough for capturing our story in the most impressive craft.

If you are looking for something cinematic to record your wedding day, we highly recommend booking Joyce Films. It will probably be the most rewarding investment you could ever make.

I cannot recommend Anna and Joyce Films highly enough. Her work was beyond all of my expectations - and those were high based on looking at her prior work and our interactions during prep meetings/calls. She did such a good job of helping us to articulate what we were looking for even when we weren't so sure ourselves. And then she perfectly executed on that vision. I cry every time I watch the highlight film and the teaser film brings such joy! Getting separate videos for each of the important parts of the day makes it easy to pull out and enjoy and our families are so appreciative/blown away.

Anna went above and beyond on the day of to make sure we felt comfortable and had fun which was very much appreciated. It was always about us and our experience. Lastly, our hardcopy USB came in the cutest box of goodies which was a joy to receive.

Anna and Russ are 100% in the right business, they were able to capture our day in the most personal and true to us way possible. From the moment I met Anna I could tell that she was passionate about what she does and loves getting to know her couples. We’re not necessarily people that like to be the center of attention and were so worried we would feel uncomfortable being filmed. Anna made it so stress free and fun and the final product shows this. Throughout the day Anna also just brought a great energy and vibe for us, you don’t realize how important it is for you to connect with people that are so intimately involved in your day. Finally, in the sea of video vendors out there, Anna’s films are unlike any I have seen. They each feel different and unique to their couples and they don’t follow a cookie cutter formula. We have watched our highlight reel no fewer than 2 dozen times and each time we find something new and fall more in love with it. She books up fast so definitely schedule some time to chat with her if you are thinking about it. It is 100% worth the investment because the day goes by so fast and it’s something we know we’ll watch over and over again. Thank you so much Joyce Films!

Anna is hands down the most talented human I have ever met. She is everything you want in a videographer! She’s kind funny and again hella talented. Hiring her was hands down the best thing I ever did while planning my wedding. Literally the BEST thing! Hire her ASAP! Even if you don’t want video, hire her. I swear, You won’t be sorry! Hire her even if you aren’t having your wedding in NY. Whatever her travel fee is it’s worth it! Just get her, she’s incredible. I wish I could get married again just to keep working with her 😂

Joyce films did such an amazing job with all 3 of our videos! They got our 60 second film back to us within days of the wedding and it allowed us to relive all the highlights of our wedding right away! Our other two films were perfectly edited and beautifully captured our wedding day. I cannot recommend Anna enough - she was so attentive and met w/ us in person before the wedding to make sure she captured everything that was important to us. It was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding!

I'm a little embarrassed to say that I think Anna was better at keeping track of our pre-wedding prep than I was! Jokes aside, she was all you need/want in a videographer. She came recommended by a good friend (who was sad she couldn't hire Anna herself), and I found her vision for filmography in NYC, her attention to details, and her editing style to be exactly what we were hoping to find, and we were/are very satisfied with her services.

She was very responsive and timely by email, was such a reassuring and chill person during our first meeting, and her and Russ (second shooter) were both reassuring and professional on our wedding day. Their price point is very reasonable, especially compared to the services they offer (DEFINITELY recommend getting the Instagram video addition!) They were patient, calm, and got some shots that in hindsight, made some of the best shots in our video - things we could not have thought of ourselves.

I cannot recommend Joyce Films enough - she took to heart our biggest concerns and desires - and our video is definitely reflective of what we hoped our wedding would be for everyone - vendor or guest. Also - she made us look really good - which is not a small feat :]

Wow! Wow! Wow! My husband and I couldn't be any happier that we chose JOYCE Films to capture our wedding. Anna and Russell are amazing; so talented, professional and incredibly kind. From the moment we met Anna and Russell we were completely at ease. They are so friendly, communicative and laid back. On the day of the wedding Anna arrived at my parents house early and ready to work! While waiting for my bridal party to arrive at the house she took it upon herself to start capturing all of those special little details that can so easily go unnoticed, like my engagement ring, the jewelry I'd be wearing, my 'something blue' and vow book. Anna spent the day with us, capturing all of the girls getting ready and even stopped by my grandmothers house with me prior to the ceremony as she knew that it was something important to me that I wanted in our video. All the while Russell was with the groom and shot him getting ready with his family and the groomsmen. Even though our wedding was less than three weeks ago JOYCE Films has already sent us our short teaser film that we fell in love with! It is so gorgeous that I was left in tears while watching! I loved how they captured the moments that were most important to us while also making sure to get all of those things we missed. The amount of time, attention and work they put into the teaser video was immediately apparent. We are truly grateful to Anna and Russ for all of their hard work.
