PJ went above and beyond, capturing small details and specials moments of our rehearsal, morning-of and all the way through the evening of our big wedding weekend. We appreciated his artistic eye and capturing unique candid photos of all our guests and us. He did a good job managing our large family group shots, giving us more time to enjoy the party. I can’t believe I haven’t left a review for JP yet!!!!! He was simply amazing. He was eneegetic, funny and understood what we were looking for. He captures the most beautiful images and we had an absolute blast working with him. Not only did we love working with him but we have received countless compliments on his presence and his photographs. We had a large bridal party and everyone had a great time with him. Not only was the party pleased but our 150 guest wedding all loved him as well. He gave us the insight we needed, saw what we were looking for and gave us amazing ideas as well. Cannot day enough good things about JP. If you are looking for talent, charisma and great communication, this is your guy. So happy to have met him and had him capture our day.

Finding the right photographer that fits you and your significant other is super important. If capturing the day is important to you then PJ is 100% your person. He is a 5 stars all around and is the absolute best! He knows exactly how to capture each persons personality as well as the vibe of the couple. He makes you feel as if you have been long time friends so it doesn't feel like some random stranger is a part of these very personal moments. His photographs are AMAZING. The pictures always look natural and he somehow manages to capture those special looks you, your guests, family, etc give each other throughout the day without even realizing he is there. He also gives you your photos back extremely fast too, which is a nice bonus! I seriously cannot recommend him enough. He is really tells a story through his pictures and it is beautiful!

We were happy to have "PJ" as our wedding photographer. We saw his booth at a wedding expo and were impressed with the quality of his photos relative to what he charges. We especially liked his work in low light contexts, since our wedding was outdoors, with the dancing starting close to nightfall. He didn't disappoint. He is very personable and laid back, but that doesn't get in the way of his dedication to getting quality photos. He had a skilled eye for getting the right backdrop for our formal photos, and they turned out very well. He was prompt in getting the photos to us after the wedding. We would definitely recommend him.

We have nothing but great things to say about John. Right from the from the very beginning he made us feel right at ease. When we initially contacted via email he was prompt with his reply and was ready to arrange a consultation with us right away. Unfortunately we live about three hours away and we were unable to meet him at the time but he mantained an open line of communication through out the whole process. When it finally came time for the consultation he went out of the way to meet with us while on our camping trip. Every time we meet with John I felt like I was the only bride he's ever had as a client. I always felt like we were a priority and not just like another bride and groom. Every time we look at our wedding pictures I see the beauty of our wedding through Johns eyes. He's very talented and we are definitely going to hire him for our one year anniversary. John is extremely personable and his prices were very competitive making our choice very easy. You'll never go wrong choosing JP Images!

I threw a wedding party for my daughter and her husband a year after their actual wedding and I was lucky enough to acquire PJ as our photographer! He was a wonderful addition to the party and an absolute joy to have there. Not only were his photos amazing but he was such a kind hearted person who is able to see the most beautiful sides of everyone. After going through and seeing his photos I wanted them ALL! As not being the most computer savvy person, he was able to talk me through ordering photos and help me out with everything I needed to get a gorgeous wedding book to give to my daughter for a christmas present. I was so lucky to get PJ and I believe he is the best choice for the job!

Without a doubt 5 out of 5! John came out for our wedding party (which was our one year anniversary) and he did an AMAZING job! I am not the biggest fan of myself in picture but there was not one I didn't like. He is the type of person who can be very professional when necessary but also is wonderful at joining in with the group and crowd. We went off to the side to take some picture of just my husband and myself, which is not something I usually like, and he spent the whole time making us laugh and made us feel very comfortable. I could not have been happier with the job he did! Highly highly recommend!

We met with nearly 20 photographers, many who charged 3-5x times as much for a very basic package. We'd make an appointment to meet in their nice office or even their own meticulously decorated homes. The photography was "nice" and "good enough", but a lot of it felt standard and a little lifeless. Why do the same old poses as the couple that comes in the sample picture when you buy the frame? With these photographers, the consultation experience was lovely, but we'd rather not pay an extreme premium for a nice interview in their lovely office and expensive brochures they have reprinted once a week - we'd like to put all of our money into their beautiful photography and not all the "fluff".

John Patrick Photography, PJ, was laid back in exactly the right way. He's truly an artist and you need to appreciate that. If you've worked with creative people, you'll have a great time with PJ. It was always a breath of fresh air to discuss locations and shot lists during all of the other chaos that makes up planning a wedding.

If you still want to pay 4-5x the price to have a fancy consultation and the same or worse quality photos there are plenty of central coast photographers that specialize in that, but not PJ. He's excited to hear your story, learn your individual style as a couple, fit your requests into his busy schedule and become an important part of your special day - and all of that for a competitive, reasonable rate that was worth every penny.

Trust these newlyweds when we say - you need as many people like PJ with you during wedding prep as you can find. Book your dates with PJ TODAY, before someone else does!

Our bit of practical advice for the next couple: Take the time to physically meet at all of your locations before the day of the shoots. It's easy to lose cell reception and have trouble communicating where to meet. Take time early to be sure you're on the same page!

We were so lucky that John Patrick Images was a portion of our dream package. PJ was a hilarious, jovial, integral part of our wedding day experience. Our consultation was thorough, our timeline was a bit unorthodox and PJ was totally game for it. We asked for our images to be shot a little bit different than his traditional photography style, we called it "crispy" (sharp and contrasty) and he was completely accommodating. He was never too much in the moment but never too far from it either--he captured all of the precious parts of the day that any bride and groom would want captured.
