Joe and Elin were great to work with. They were very knowledgeable and by hiring both we were able to do a first look, all the details, formals, and have alot of great shots of the ceremony & reception without having to worry about any of the key moments getting missed.

Very responsive and always were able to assist if we needed anything. They are not the cheapest photographers but you absolutely get in back in value of photos and moments captured. We also did their film camera shoot add-on option which as a photo geek made me thrilled to see those photos, they have a nostalgic quality to them.

Joe has an incredible attention to detail and really knows how to capture photos from all the right angles, especially at Harrington Farm. He made the entire process feel easy and natural, even for two people who aren’t used to being in front of a camera. Nothing ever felt forced or awkward, it was actually fun.

Booking Joe Dolen Photography was hands down one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! Joe, and his wife, Elin — an incredibly dynamic duo! — photographed our wedding in August of 2025. From our first exploratory call all the way through the receipt of our full wedding photo album, Joe and Elin have been highly communicative, proactive, warm, and helpful. They are consummate professionals and went above and beyond on our wedding day. Joe came in clutch with emergency supplies, like small scissors to cut a loose thread and a cloth towel to wipe off a spot of makeup that ended up on my fiances suit. They warmly and adeptly corralled our families, got the little kids AND grandparents to smile for the camera, taught us all how to pose in each given moment, and above all, made us feel SO comfortable. In particular, they made our first look and our sunset photos so special and memorable. Finally, we were blown away and so grateful to receive our sneak peak (with more photos than we expected!) just ONE DAY after our wedding, paired with a meaningful, personalized blog post about our day. We couldn't have been more thrilled!

From our first meeting I knew that we had chosen the correct photography team. The photographs we saw were simply stunning. Their style of photography was just what we were looking for, natural, not overly posed, and brought out the actual couples they were photographing. From our first meeting their organization and timeliness to questions was on par. They helped guide us through everything that we needed to make our big day perfect. When wedding day came it was like having additional friends there with us, supporting us, and guiding us through each part of the day. We were both very nervous during our first look and our private vows. Joe and Elin helped to ease our nerves and even though they were both there, we felt like we were the only ones in the room. The pictures from our first look and our private vows captured the sentiment of the moments perfectly. As the day progressed all of our special moments were captured and those fun ones too, right down to the details on my husband's special cufflinks that had an etched photograph of our dog and my necklace that was made from my mother and grandmother’s engagement rings. During the reception we utilized their photobooth and our guests had a blast taking photos and the laughter was contagious. Our sneak peeks arrived quicker than the time frame specified and our entire collection was ready before we knew it. The photo album we chose also arrived quickly and is a keepsake that we are so excited to share with our friends and family. Joe and Elin were so easy to work with. They are friendly, helpful, organized and put your mind at ease. Our day would not have been the same without them.

Joe and Elin were nothing short of amazing on our wedding day. They were organized and got all the shot Matthew and I asked for. We got our photos back in 72 hours and they are perfect. Thank you both so much for all the memories! (Yes my husband ended up shirtless by the end of the night)

I could not recommend Joe (and Elin!!) more for any occasion -- but especially for a wedding! They were perfect from the very first interaction. Our engagement shoot was so much fun, and made us comfortable to be photographed (something neither of us had done before professionally). They were the timeline guide for the whole wedding. They knew where we needed to be when, and everyone followed their lead (even when we had a day of coordinator). They were helpful (directing photos and making suggestions), detail oriented (fixing bowties, throwing veils for the perfect shot etc) and they were FUN! Not to mention the quality of their photos -- every single one was stunning. Their turnaround time for sneak peaks, full gallery and album was astonishing! When we first got engaged, we asked our venue who they would recommend for a photographer and we could not have been happier with who they recommended! We got married at Harrington Farm, and they immediately recommended that we contact Joe and Elin for our 2/28.2025 wedding and we are so thankful for everything that they did for us! We did our engagement photos with Joe and let me tell you, this man was running around St. Joseph's Abbey at 7pm on a summer night because that's what worked for us, and we seriously love that! When we first got our engagement photos back I could not have been any more excited- they were incredible, just made me so excited for our wedding photos! When the wedding day came, Joe and Elin came into the venue and got setup, It felt like within seconds they were both knocking on the door to grab some of our special items for our detail shots and oh my goodness was it so nice to know that everything was getting started!! Firstly, the photos were absolutely amazing, even though we didn't plan some of them, no matter what we wanted they were both right there getting the photos, I remember at one point throughout the night I screamed at the top of my lungs "JOE" and next thing I know there he is, ready with camera in hand to get our pictures and do whatever else was needed! Elin was right there with him through everything and even helped me lift us my dress as we walked throughout the snowy outside!! They were both incredible to work with and we are so thankful for them and can't wait to see the rest of our photos!
