Joe and Elin were great to work with. They were very knowledgeable and by hiring both we were able to do a first look, all the details, formals, and have alot of great shots of the ceremony & reception without having to worry about any of the key moments getting missed.
Very responsive and always were able to assist if we needed anything. They are not the cheapest photographers but you absolutely get in back in value of photos and moments captured. We also did their film camera shoot add-on option which as a photo geek made me thrilled to see those photos, they have a nostalgic quality to them.

Amazing Photographers!
We cannot say enough great things about Joe Dolen and his wife Elin. From start to finish, working with them was an absolute pleasure.
Joe has an incredible attention to detail and really knows how to capture photos from all the right angles, especially at Harrington Farm. He made the entire process feel easy and natural, even for two people who aren’t used to being in front of a camera. Nothing ever felt forced or awkward, it was actually fun.
Joe and Elin are both so kind, approachable, and genuinely supportive. Elin was an absolute sweetheart and such a calming, positive presence throughout the day. Together, they have great personalities and truly feel like they’re on your team, guiding you through the day rather than just showing up to take photos.
They were amazing at keeping us on schedule without ever overwhelming us, and they were flexible whenever we wanted to pause or do something spontaneous. The meetings we had with them beforehand were incredibly informative. They answered questions we didn’t even know we had and made sure we knew exactly what to expect going into our wedding day. That preparation made a huge difference and gave us so much peace of mind.

One of the best wedding decisions we made!
Booking Joe Dolen Photography was hands down one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! Joe, and his wife, Elin — an incredibly dynamic duo! — photographed our wedding in August of 2025. From our first exploratory call all the way through the receipt of our full wedding photo album, Joe and Elin have been highly communicative, proactive, warm, and helpful. They are consummate professionals and went above and beyond on our wedding day. Joe came in clutch with emergency supplies, like small scissors to cut a loose thread and a cloth towel to wipe off a spot of makeup that ended up on my fiances suit. They warmly and adeptly corralled our families, got the little kids AND grandparents to smile for the camera, taught us all how to pose in each given moment, and above all, made us feel SO comfortable. In particular, they made our first look and our sunset photos so special and memorable. Finally, we were blown away and so grateful to receive our sneak peak (with more photos than we expected!) just ONE DAY after our wedding, paired with a meaningful, personalized blog post about our day. Picture Perfect
Look no further when choosing your wedding photographer. Joe and Elin are simply the best. We contacted Dolen Photography through a recommendation from our wedding venue. From our first meeting I knew that we had chosen the correct photography team. The photographs we saw were simply stunning. Their style of photography was just what we were looking for, natural, not overly posed, and brought out the actual couples they were photographing. From our first meeting their organization and timeliness to questions was on par. They helped guide us through everything that we needed to make our big day perfect. When wedding day came it was like having additional friends there with us, supporting us, and guiding us through each part of the day. We were both very nervous during our first look and our private vows. Joe and Elin helped to ease our nerves and even though they were both there, we felt like we were the only ones in the room. The pictures from our first look and our private vows captured the sentiment of the moments perfectly. As the day progressed all of our special moments were captured and those fun ones too, right down to the details on my husband's special cufflinks that had an etched photograph of our dog and my necklace that was made from my mother and grandmother’s engagement rings. During the reception we utilized their photobooth and our guests had a blast taking photos and the laughter was contagious. Our sneak peeks arrived quicker than the time frame specified and our entire collection was ready before we knew it. The photo album we chose also arrived quickly and is a keepsake that we are so excited to share with our friends and family. Joe and Elin were so easy to work with. They are friendly, helpful, organized and put your mind at ease. Our day would not have been the same without them.

I could not recommend Joe (and Elin!!) more for any occasion -- but especially for a wedding! They were perfect from the very first interaction. Our engagement shoot was so much fun, and made us comfortable to be photographed (something neither of us had done before professionally). They were the timeline guide for the whole wedding. They knew where we needed to be when, and everyone followed their lead (even when we had a day of coordinator). They were helpful (directing photos and making suggestions), detail oriented (fixing bowties, throwing veils for the perfect shot etc) and they were FUN! Not to mention the quality of their photos -- every single one was stunning. Their turnaround time for sneak peaks, full gallery and album was astonishing! Our Perfect Day
When we first got engaged, we asked our venue who they would recommend for a photographer and we could not have been happier with who they recommended! We got married at Harrington Farm, and they immediately recommended that we contact Joe and Elin for our 2/28.2025 wedding and we are so thankful for everything that they did for us! We did our engagement photos with Joe and let me tell you, this man was running around St. Joseph's Abbey at 7pm on a summer night because that's what worked for us, and we seriously love that! When we first got our engagement photos back I could not have been any more excited- they were incredible, just made me so excited for our wedding photos! When the wedding day came, Joe and Elin came into the venue and got setup, It felt like within seconds they were both knocking on the door to grab some of our special items for our detail shots and oh my goodness was it so nice to know that everything was getting started!! Firstly, the photos were absolutely amazing, even though we didn't plan some of them, no matter what we wanted they were both right there getting the photos, I remember at one point throughout the night I screamed at the top of my lungs "JOE" and next thing I know there he is, ready with camera in hand to get our pictures and do whatever else was needed! Elin was right there with him through everything and even helped me lift us my dress as we walked throughout the snowy outside!! They were both incredible to work with and we are so thankful for them and can't wait to see the rest of our photos!

We hired Joe and Elin to photograph our wedding and they were absolutely amazing. Very personable and the "sneak peak" photos they have already sent us are beautiful. They had multiple packages to choose from. Some of which include beautifully put together albums and I cannot wait to see ours. We were able to view some of these in their studio prior to hiring them. They even surprised us with a framed 8x10 photo during our reception. We LOVED working with Joe! From the beginning he was easy going, really wanted to understand ideas and our story and very thorough with getting information prior to our big day! He was always very prompt in his responses, friendly, and flexible. He made sure all the photos we wanted on our list were captured and went right along with our requests! The photos were returned to us very quickly— and we even got a sneak peak a week later that contained tons of photos! Picture This: The Best Wedding Photographer Ever
Joe was incredible to work with for our Worcester wedding and we strongly urge anybody looking for a photographer to check him out. The great thing about evaluating photographers is that their work will speak for itself, so check out his online gallery and know that our photos were of similar quality and artistry, he has a talent for capturing every incredible moment. Aside from photos: Joe is just a really good guy and wonderful to work with. From our first consultation through picking up the final albums, he is attentive to his clients and really takes the time to understand their needs. He is very experienced and covered things that we never would have considered and provided great advice based on our day-of timeline and our venues. During the events, he blended into the crowd and somehow managed to capture incredible moments without us realizing he was there; I did several double-takes when viewing our photos because I honestly had no idea he was shooting at certain points. He took stunning, phenomenal, downright perfect pictures of everything throughout the day. He had a great eye for picking out specific spots to shoot. Overall he's an excellent photographer, efficient at working through shot lists and maximizing location options, and can unobtrusively ninja through a reception to get pictures that capture the authentic moments through the evening. While we don’t plan on having another wedding, we do plan on using Joe Dolen Photography in the future.

Joe and Elin are a power couple who have photographed memories of my whole family for over a decade. When my wife and I decided to get married we knew we had to choose them as our photographers. They are tentative, walk you through the whole process of when and where pictures will be taken, what poses to do and help make things seem natural as opposed to forced and awkward, gave us a framed picture of the photos we took the night of our wedding, and even provide a sneak peek before finishing all of your pictures which was enough to be our wedding album itself. Do not hesitate to hire Joe Dolen Photography!
We were fortunate to work with Joe Dolen Photography for our two weddings- a small ceremony in 2020, and our larger celebration in 2022. We contacted Joe on a whim shortly before our 2020 wedding which we put together in just 5 weeks due to a family member’s terminal diagnosis. Joe was flexible, patient, kind, and compassionate given our family’s situation at the time. We are so grateful that we have wedding photos with our family member who has since passed away. We had no hesitations in hiring Joe and Elin to shoot our larger celebration in 2022. Joe and Elin knew our venue well and helped us to take some great shots all over the property. We included our beloved dog in our wedding, and Joe and Elin got some amazing shots of him too. Again, Joe and Elin were flexible, kind, easy going, and relaxed. Many of our guests commented on how great our photographers were interpersonally. In addition their great interpersonal skills at our wedding, our full albums turned out to be just stunning. Wedding Day: Our wedding was held up a mountain during a record-breaking snowstorm - over a foot of snow and blizzard conditions on the day of our wedding. While I wanted some snow on the ground, I think this was more than anyone planned for. Joe sent us an email the day before, telling us how excited they were to come to our wedding. That level of communication, sensing I was freaking out a bit, meant so much to me. They didn’t seem phased by the snow at all, and we rolled with the weather and got some amazing pictures. One of my favorite memories of the day was watching Joe all bundled up, yelling over the blizzard-like winds, organizing my bridal party of 20 to get the best pictures I could imagine.
Joe and Elin really went above and beyond to make my day so special, and I am so happy we chose them!

From our engagement shoot to our wedding, Joe has done an amazing job capturing our love and happiness on camera! He has been very professional, responsive to all our questions, made us feel comfortable in front of the camera by helping us pose (cause we are awkward lol), worked with us on our timeline for the big day, and more. Our pictures came out so beautiful and we will treasure them forever! We are so happy to have worked with Joe for his genuineness, creativity, and talent.

AMAZING Photographer
My husband and I had an absolutely amazing experience working with Joe and his wife Elin. We had searched around a bit for photographers, so we talked to several, but couldn't walk away from this photographer because we just felt so comfortable with him. He really listened to us and what we were looking for, and was super easy to talk to.
Also, his photography is AMAZING! We were blown away. He presented us with a surprise on our wedding day that brought tears to my eyes (and I still don't know how he was able to pull it off!), and I will forever remember how kind both him and his wife were. Our pictures so far have been absolutely stunning, and I have nothing but great things to say about Joe Dolan Photography.
We have already passed his name on to friends, and will continue to do so! We highly recommend them for your special day. The Perfect Shot!
Joe(and his associate) were absolutely amazing throughout our entire experience working with them. From being super flexible with meeting times prior to the wedding to work around our schedules, to making sure we had every detail captured we wanted, and taking time to get to know us as individuals and a couple.
The day of the wedding we had a lot of little ones and the organized chaos that comes with them and they didn't miss a beat!

Joe was amazing!
Joe was an amazing photographer for our back yard wedding. We had 4 dogs in our wedding and he was great with them! He got the best picture of us with the dogs. He was very responsive with emails before the wedding. He was flexible (we had to change the date 3 times and he was very understanding). We got all of our photos back 3 weeks after the wedding! He is very nice and friendly and does a great job. We would highly recommend him to anyone.

Working with Joe has been an absolute pleasure from beginning to end! He is so professional, quick to respond, and has an amazing eye. He photographed our wedding on 2/29/20 and I can not get over how perfectly him and his second shooter, Charles, were able to capture our day. From the start Joe was responsive to emails, and worked with us through our engagement photos, day of timeline, and our wedding day. He is also AMAZING with kids and everyone is talking about how awesome he was with our ring bearer (5 y/o) and our flower girl (6 y/o). He's was super laid back and understood when we needed extra pictures of family or extra pictures of a choreographed sister dances. If you're considering Joe for your day DO IT! You won't be disappointed!

Excellent photographer, better sevice
He is amazing. So obviously his photos are phenomenal. But what's (suprisingly) even better is that he is amazing with everyone. He doesnt get in the way or interrupt moments but he gets every shot. And he knifed how to handle absolutely everybody. I have quite a few personality types in my family, as does my husband and he was great with all of them. I havent heard anything except superlative praise from all of my family, in-laws and guests.
And he bends over backwards to make sure everyone is comfortable and he's not in anyone's way when he's doing the getting ready shots.
Throughout the day he was super efficient, and not just pleasant o people but lovely to have around.
Plus he was so sweet! He printed out a picture for us and framed it and gave it to us during the reception as a present! So kind of him.
I highly recommend him. He's pricey but he's worth every cent you pay.

I don’t even know where to start. I can’t say enough great things about Joe! My husband & I knew the moment we met him that he was going to be our wedding photographer. Amazing Photography!
Having Joe as our photographer was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! We knew from the time we first met Joe that we wanted him to photograph our wedding. Joe is so easy to work with; he is so nice, and made us feel so comfortable. He traveled far to take our engagement photos on a cold day at the beach, and they came out absolutely amazing. Joe also traveled far to photograph our wedding, and even on a hot and sunny day, the pictures are still absolutely BEAUTIFUL. Joe did a perfect job capturing every moment of our special day. We could not be any happier to have chosen Joe as our photographer, and we cannot thank him enough!!

Joe is the one for the job!
Joe not only is the one for the job but the ONLY ONE for the job! He did my wedding back in April and blew me away with his gift from god. As a bride all I wanted was amazing beautiful pictures and he did just that. He brought me to tears with my album and his gift of a picture DURING MY WEDDING RECEPTION! Joe is the absolute best and words can’t explain how blessed I am that he gave me what I wanted and more. I would recommend Joe to anyone and will continue to always use him in the future. Where do we even start? Joe Dolen, was hands down, one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From our very first meeting with Joe, we knew we had found our photographer. Besides taking beautiful pictures, he is an absolute joy to work with. We highly recommend that you make the same decision for your wedding. His pictures themselves are not only gorgeous, but they also reflect the emotions and personalities of everyone he photographs. He responded quickly to any questions or concerns. He was extremely flexible the day of the ceremony to make sure we got in all of the pictures we wanted. His turn around time was amazing and he made the whole process easy. Best choice!
Joe was one the best decisions we made for our wedding. I knew right away after initially talking him that I wanted him to photograph our wedding. He is so nice and down to earth and really just wants to make you happy. On our wedding day, Joe was amazing. He was professional, and made sure we got all the shots we wanted. He even had some great ideas for shots that I didn't think of, but turned out awesome. My bridesmaids loved him and one of them even said she needs to get married in MA so she can hire him too. When we got our pictures back, I cried happy tears. They are BEAUTIFUL and perfectly captured our wedding day from start to finish. I would hire Joe all over again in a second. He is great!

Joe is an outstanding photographer and a consummate professional. Joe offered the flexibility in pricing options that I was looking for and was extremely responsive. This is why I hired him; but we got so much more than we expected. Beautiful photos of our special non-traditional day. Joe was one of the best things that happened to our wedding. He was always professional, easy to talk to and fun to be around. Where do I begin..I have know Joe for 10 years. I met him and his wife when they got married at Salem Cross Inn. When my daughter decided to get married I knew who to call. From the first meeting until the end, he made everything go just as planned. The wedding day was rainy and gloomy. Despite the weather Joe captured every detail perfectly from the beginning to end. Amazing Experience
Doug and I chose Joe Dolen Photography after meeting him at a bridal expo in Worcester. Taking engagement and wedding photos can be awkward as it involves lots of staring at each other. Joe made the process very fun. Both my husband and I (and our wedding party) felt very comfortable with Joe and his assistant. He was so much fun and very easy to work with. On top of that, his work is amazing. We love our engagement and wedding photos. They are simply awesome. Our guests and friends love them as well! We are so happy and would definitely recommend Joe again!

Picture perfect ;)
Initially we connected with Joe through a relative but once meeting him and seeing his work we knew he would be the right choice for us. Wedding planning is a whirlwind but Joe made us feel at ease from the start. In addition to giving us advice on photos he went above and beyond to recommend other vendors who would be easy to work with and gave us advice on timelines and planning. Our engagement photos were our first time being professionally photographed which was a little out of our comfort zone but Joe was a natural at making us feel comfortable and reading our personalities in order to capture us perfectly. (He also got our two year old chocolate lab to cooperate which was a task in itself). On the day of our wedding Joe and his assistant captured every detail perfectly from start to finish. After speaking with Joe we decided to do a first look which allowed us to get all of the photos we wanted with friends and family without feeling rushed or stressed. Added bonus... we got to enjoy cocktail hour and get photos with our other guests. Our friends and family were impressed by their professionalism and several commented that not only did they do a good job at jumping in and catching candid moments but they did so without interrupting any flow of the wedding. Our wedding photos are absolutely beautiful and thanks to Joe we will have these memories to cherish for a lifetime. We will continue to use Joe for photos in the future and we highly recommend him to friends, family and anyone else who is looking for someone to capture their special day.

We met with several photographers before meeting Joe and instantly knew he was who we wanted to photograph our wedding. You spend A LOT of time with your photographer throughout the day and it was important to us it was someone we clicked with. Joe is super friendly, but can corral a crowd - a must considering my giant family. He had some really fun ideas for poses, but also had no problem including any poses we wanted. He had a big smile on his face the entire day and really captured every moment perfectly. He also worked really well with our videographer which made everything easy. We got our pictures back within 1-2 months of the wedding and they were all beautifully edited.
I would hire him over and over (and plan to for future pictures)!!!

Joe is not only an amazing photographer, he's a genuinely great guy. It only took one meeting in his comfy studio to know that he would capture our day perfectly, and he absolutely did. Even now 7 months later, looking at our photos takes me right back to how I felt that day. I don't know how he does it, but Joe is able to take photos that are both beautiful to look at and convey so much emotion. He is incredibly easy to work with - professional, kind, highly responsive, and LOVES his job! Though we had a large wedding we opted to have Joe come without an assistant knowing that there would be moments we may miss out on - Joe did not miss a beat! I swear he was in two places at once most of the day. He works incredibly hard to make sure that you get coverage of every special moment in detail. He was an absolute pleasure to have around while we were getting ready, somehow wrangled our crazy family into beautiful portraits, and then totally blended in at the reception to grab hysterical candids. Joe photographed our fall wedding and our engagement shoot. You know you have found a special photographer when you can't decide what is more outstanding- Joe's photos or Joe himself! When browsing wedding photographers, we were instantly drawn to Joe's work for his creativity and ability to capture emotion in every one of his photos. When we met Joe, we discovered how genuine and personable he was and we knew he would be the perfect fit. Joe loves what he does and it really shows while he's working and in his work. During our engagement shoot it was freezing cold, but Joe stuck it out with us as we tried location after location and spot after spot! We are incredibly happy with our engagement photos and were blown away by our wedding photos- we have them plastered all over the house! The album he created was also very beautiful. Joe was very responsive and accessible over email, phone, and text, which is very helpful. Book Joe - you will not be disappointed!

We booked Joe Dolen pretty much on the spot after meeting him. We had heard of him through a friend and once we reviewed some of his work we decided to book an apt. We met with him at his home studio and he made us feel very comfortable. Both my husband and I have very busy work schedules and he was beyond accommodating when it came to meeting with us on the weekends whether we were doing our engagement pictures or just going over our wedding plans. Joe is extremely professional, but also has a way about him that makes you feel relaxed, our whole wedding party raved about him! Our pictures came out beautiful, he really does have a special touch when it comes to getting peoples emotions in a picture. The photos he was able to capture of special moments on are wedding day are incredible, I didn't even realize he was there most of the time! I recommend him to literally everyone that I know that is in need of a wedding photographer. Joe is extremely talented, professional and just a fun guy to have around on your special day. I don't think there is a way to express how extremely grateful we are for the BEAUTIFUL photos that Joe took at our wedding this past New Year's Eve. Just looking through them and being able to re-live some of the memories is priceless. Joe was able to perfectly capture the essence of the night. We just got our wedding pictures back from Joe and I can't stop looking at them! They are simply stunning. He really did a wonderful job of capturing the joy of our wedding day. We first contacted Joe because his photos stood out from all other photographers we were looking at -- his images are rich, playful and really seemed to reflect the individual personality of each wedding. When we met with him, it was clear that we had to have him photograph our day! He is incredibly friendly and laid-back while still being professional. It's clear that he loves what he does, and that passion shows in every one of his pictures. On the day of the wedding, Joe arrived with a big smile and his camera ready to go. He was friendly and efficient with the bazillion family portraits we wanted to take, and then was like a photo ninja during the reception -- capturing some absolutely wonderful candids without detection! I had several guests tell me later how impressed they were with Joe's ability to blend in. I really could go on and on raving about Joe, but I think his photography speaks for itself. Definitely give him a call -- you won't regret it!

When looking for a photographer, the most important thing to me was to find someone who truly captured the emotions of the day...and that is exactly what we got from Joe's pictures! In addition to providing us with beautiful wedding pictures that we will cherish over the years, he was truly easy to work with, responsive and upbeat. It made for a seamless process from start to finish.

Joe was amazing. We first did our engagement photos with him. He even accommodated my idea to do four mini sessions so we could take pictures in all four seasons! My husband and I are not really comfortable in front of the camera and Joe made us feel comfortable and at ease. The four season photos came out wonderful and were a hit in our photo guest book! On the wedding day Joe was great again. He was very professional and arrived right on time with his assistant. They immediately went to work getting all the before pictures. He even made sure to get some really important shots of the groomsmen in their super hero tshirts. Throughout the night, Joe was always there to capture the important moments. We can't wait to see how all the pictures came out! Not only would we recommend Joe to any couple planning our wedding, but we would recommend him to anyone looking for a photographer.

Joe is AWESOME! When we first met him, we knew we wanted to work with him and have him be a part of our day. Joe is so professional, yet so very friendly and easy to talk to at the same time! He took our engagement pictures, as well as wedding pictures - and we couldn't be happier with the results! He took unbelievable pictures capturing all the magical memories throughout our wedding day! He is quick to respond to emails and does a quick turnaround on receiving the pictures, which was great! Whenever we had a question (photography related or not), Joe was there to help up along the way to make our day go smoothly. What isn't stressful about the big day! In looking for a photographer, Joe was listed on my wedding venues preferred list, he was the first photographer I met with and never reconsidered my choice! My Mom and I drove to his home studio to meet with him and check out options with weddings/look at albums. Joe was down to earth and I liked his style in looking at other wedding albums and also seemed reasonably priced to others out there as we wanted two photographers too. When I got home, I discussed with the hubby, emailed Joe and we had our photographer booked!
Prior to the wedding we did an engagement session with Joe at Tower Hill Garden for those familiar with the area, and it was a great opportunity to get to know each other and how to take a professional picture as my husband and I hadn't had professional pics done prior together. It was a lot of laughs and I was more than pleased with the end result.
Throughout the entire wedding process I was never stressed until the very end with all the last minute details. However, I never once worried about the pictures, etc. I knew I was in good hands. I was even 15 minutes late the day of the wedding and Joe was waiting gracefully at my parents house. The day of the wedding he kept us moving and also made sure the pictures I requested were done despite the craziness of the evening. Also Communication wise, Joe was always responsive and got back to me right away.
I would recommend Joe in a heartbeat to any bride out there who is contemplating a photographer. Post wedding, I already booked Joe to do a family portrait session and am once again very pleased. Needless to say I will use Joe whenever we need professional photos!

Joe was recommended to us by close friends, and we are so ecstatic we got to work with Joe! We had an engagement session with Joe along with our wedding photography. Our engagement photos were so unique and beautiful. Joe was on the ground in the farm field to capture some of the shots! We recently received our wedding photos and are so happy! We love them! Joe captured all of the small details and beautiful candid moments. We think it's really important to have a photographer you can feel comfortable around, and that was especially the case with Joe. We met Joe Dolen at Leicester Country Club's wedding fair of preferred vendors and his work instantly caught our eye. The photos looked natural, conveyed emotion, and captured the kind of moments you simply cannot pose for. His pre-wedding consultation put us at ease, and when you are planning your wedding day this is an extremely important quality for a vendor. He listened to all of our concerns and took careful notes of what types of photos we were looking for and which ones we would rather avoid. On the day of the wedding Joe's cheerful and easygoing manner was again on full display, engaging the wedding party in light conversation and reassuring us that rain or shine he was already catching great shots and that he had a plan if the clouds did turn to rain. Both during the ceremony and at the reception Joe had a way of disappearing into the background, you always knew he was around but he was never a distraction. He also immersed himself fully into the shoot; he was up on chairs, face down on the grass, literally popping up whenever anything special happened. And the end product is proof of it. We couldn't be happier with all of the images he delivered. The posed shots were just the way we wanted them, the candids looked like something out of a storybook, and it was simply amazing what he could do with shadows and light, both in color and black and white. When we received the flash drive containing all the photos we couldn't stop flipping through them over and over again. One month later it's still impossible to select a single favorite. Both my wife and I give Joe Dolen our thanks and complete recommendation.

I wish there were more than 5 stars to give Joe Dolen; an incredibly talented photographer with a unique eye of capturing beautiful moments! In planning our wedding, we knew photography was going to be one of the important things on our list that we wanted to invest in but we were looking for a photographer who takes more than just your “cookie cutter” pictures. The minute we met Joe and viewing his portfolio, we knew he was it! I cannot say enough wonderful things about this photographer. Joe took both of our engagement photos and wedding photos. We could not love them anymore! As every couple knows, your wedding goes by so quickly and it’s so disappointing once it is over. My husband and I feel beyond grateful that we have such amazing and gorgeous photos to look back on and remember the best day of our lives. We feel like we get to relive every minute. Joe captured so many amazing moments and beautiful photos of our wedding day. We knew our photos would come out great, since he did such a fantastic job with our engagement pictures but we did not expect them to be as beautiful as they are. We’ve received so many compliments and comments – but everything is due to his great work! ! To us, Joe was more than just our “wedding photographer”; he became a friend, so easy going and friendly. Joe has the ability to make you feel comfortable to be yourself when taking photos, which might not be something you do in your everyday life. Joe is always there to give advice, answer questions, or just bounce ideas off of. We always looked forward to our meetings with Joe, we loved catching up with him and discussing plans for our wedding! Joe was absolutely amazing. He spent the entire day with us, taking pictures before and after the ceremony, at the reception, and even came into Boston with us to take pictures at sunset. He was calm, cool and collected (on quite a warm & humid day) and kept everyone relaxed throughout the process. His vision and creativity is amazing, and the few photos I've seen so far are breath-taking. I was told it is so important to be comfortable with your photographer, and we couldn't have found a better fit for our special day.

When my parents were married 30+ years ago (this was before digital), my mother's cousin was an aspiring photographer. He offered to shoot their wedding and create an album for them as their wedding gift. My parents accepted. To make a long story short, when her cousin was developing the pictures, he exposed all of the film to natural light, destroying all of the images. 30 years later, I can see how much my parents regret not hiring a professional photographer. Its because of this that finding the perfect photographer was so important to me. We kept our wedding very modest, but wanted to spare no expense on the perfect photographer. As soon as we sat down with Joe, and looked at his previous work, we knew immediately we wanted him for our wedding. We were not disappointed. We could not be be happier with the quality of our pictures - and the album he put together for us is absolutely stunning. We continue to get compliments on our pictures - and many friends since our wedding have sought Joe out for their own wedding. We used Joe Dolen Photography for our engagement and wedding pictures, and we will definitely be using his services as we begin to expand our family!

Joe put my husband and I completely at ease from day 1 (which is hard to do when neither of you likes getting your picture taken!)
The package we drew up was great value, an excellent price for the services we wanted and nothing we didn't need/want.
Before the wedding we met with Joe to outline the shots we wanted to have taken. We asked he keep the photo session to 45 mins so we could spend time at our party and he was great about respecting that while still getting all the shots we wanted.
On the day he was constantly running around getting all those important pics but I only know this because I have seen the photographs. He was amazingly inobtrusive... I barely knew he was there until he asked me if there was anything else I needed or wanted him to capture.
We got our proofs in less than 2 weeks (and would have had them sooner if we hadn't been away) and within a week of that he was ready to start on the album. The photographs are beautiful, really capturing the day for us. I can't wait to see the album!
I recommend Joe to anyone.

We were recommended to Joe by our wedding venue. I took a few looks around the website and fell in love with his style. Joe is super flexible on timing, has great recommendations but also will take your idea and make it real. My husband and I enjoyed our experience with Joe beginning with our first appointment at his office. He was very flexible with our wishes - payment plan, traveling to NYC for our engagement photos, and very easy to get in touch with through the whole process! Joe even would reach out to us in advance for information, which was great to keep us on track and in the loop! The best part was that he got so many great shots, but we did not feel overwhelmed with the photos at any part of our wedding. We really had a chance to enjoy our wedding and know that Joe, and his colleague, were taking great photos! I look forward to working with Joe in the future for other events and photo sessions!

Joe is amazing!! He made the entire photo taking process easy and fun! My now husband and I are not great in front of the camera and really wanted a professional to be there to tell us where to look, and what to do. Joe gave wonderful direction and captured some truly special moments! He included an engagement session in the package we chose, which was such a great way for us to get to know each other before the wedding. Joe was SO organized and really knows what he's doing! At our final meeting, he made sure to go through the day of timeline and write down every type of picture I wanted and with who. That worked out so perfectly on the wedding day - I didn't have to worry about missing a photo with my sister or grandparent AND we got all the pictures we wanted. The pictures, oh my goodness, they came out better than I expected! Joe has such an eye for editing. I have gotten SO many compliments on my wedding photos! I would highly recommend Joe to anyone!! Joe was invisible during our ceremony, getting unique angles we wouldn't have even thought of. He went above and beyond during our reception with hundreds of beautiful shots.
