Jim has truly become such a great friend in this process. The biggest thing you want to feel on your wedding day is comfort and support. Jim goes out of his way to make this happen. We first met and worked with Jim for our engagement photos. We had so much fun! Jim wasn't afraid of getting in the sand and water to get our pictures in the ocean. When our wedding was postponed, Jim was there to shoot our elopement (and keep the secret)! After waiting for eight months, we finally had our wedding. Even though it was raining, Jim captured every moment of our amazing day. We will be working with Jim for all of our photography needs in the future. Thank you, Jim!

Jim photographed our wedding in Boston and we could not recommend him enough. He was amazing to work with. Three things really stand out 1) Prior to the ceremony he spent time connecting with us and got us very comfortable with the process and plan as well as advice on what to expect 2) During the day of the ceremony he was very punctual, discrete, and, documented it all very well 3) After the ceremony, Jim was very easy to work with and put everyone at ease throughout the family photos. Jim is absolutely fantastic! Extremely professional, creative and has an upbeat attitude which made taking photos during our engagement shoot and wedding a total blast. Also, his processing time for engagement photos was within days (solid 200+ pics from the shoot). We had a sneak peak from our wedding 4 days after our wedding - which was October 19th and peak wedding season. Speedy delivery and our guests all really enjoyed Jim's energy at the event. Jim was exactly what we were hoping for in a photographer for our wedding...and more! My husband was originally not very comfortable with the idea of having an engagement photoshoot or just romantic poses taken in general, but Jim made us both feel so comfortable, and we ended up having a blast with him. Being able to meet up in a brewery and get to know each other beforehand was the perfect way for it to feel like we were all just friends hanging out. The photos that Jim took captured so many beautiful moments that I will now be able to visibly look back on and cherish forever. When we fell behind our planned schedule on our wedding day, Jim and his assistant were flexible and understanding, and they made me feel calm instead of more stressed. I had a wedding party of 11 bridesmaids and 9 groomsmen, so it was a huge group, and Jim was able to manage the group and get all of our most desired shots in, and more. He even made my 4 year old niece, who is initially very shy, feel comfortable, and he captured some of the most beautiful photographs we have of her to date. Jim has been a pleasure to work with and I highly recommend him. As far as wedding photographers go, you couldn't do better!

We are so glad we hired Jim Barbere to photograph our wedding. Jim's mix of professionalism with a down-to-earth sense of humor made him a perfect fit for us. We wanted both formal pictures of our family and candid pictures that captured the fun of the day, and Jim and his partner Shauna delivered.

In our first phone conversation, he asked detailed questions to get to know us and our families, and also to get us thinking about the vision for our wedding photos. He also met me for coffee so I could get to know him, which I very much appreciated.

Jim was flexible with shooting locations, arranging to shoot me and the girls getting ready at the venue (The Harbor Room in Gloucester), my husband and the guys getting ready at his mom's house around the corner, first-look shots near the water, family photos back at his mom's house, the ceremony, and the reception. Jim and Shauna drove us from place to place and kept us entertained and calm the entire time.

The part of our day that encapsulates Jim best is when he noticed my 8-year-old niece (our flower girl) was getting antsy to get the show on the road and was about to have a mini meltdown. He handed her his flash and put her straight to work, coaching her with both respect and humor. She was delighted and so were we!

Jim gave us a sneak preview of at least 100 shots within days of our wedding. We got the full set of photos exactly two months later, on Thanksgiving morning. It was great to be able to show our family the pictures when we were all together for the holiday, and everybody loved them.

Jim did an amazing job photographing our wedding. We are a "mature" bride and groom so our wedding was a celebration of our friends and family who have seen us through some challenging times in our lives. We wanted a lot of candids as well as a list of posed pictures with different people and Jim delivered it all! We were amazed by all the candids he got, the expressions on people's faces were priceless. Everyone looked like that had a really fun time and that was all we wanted. Well done Jim, well done!

Jim was a pleasure to work with throughout my wedding planning and for the big day.
